Found Deceased CO - Dylan Nicholas Redwine, 13, Vallecito, 19 Nov 2012 *father arrested*

Unfortunately I saw them years ago---and they are seared into my brain. Really gross stuff. I doubt the cameras will be allowed to stream the photos.

I finally saw a photo. So gross. Since I haven't been following this since the beginning as closely as I have other cases, would someone mind filling me in on one small piece that's become kind of a big piece?

Is it anything beyond speculation to motive that a confrontation regarding the diaper photos is what led to this?

It just seems salacious and silly to me.

As a coverup, it's a failure because others have seen the photos, as is clearly evidenced.

As a rage response, how you react with rage toward someone else at something YOU did?

I guess I'll never understand how child murderers think, and it'll never quite make sense to me.

This is why I wish the judge would have just let the professionals handle this. Are we going to miss opening statements? Hopefully not. It would have been so cool for Court TV to cover this.

Bitter custody battle , hated Ex Wife who moved away with the kids and made a good life for them. Dylan didn’t want to visit his dad but courts forced him to do visits.


If I remember correctly as it’s been awhile Dylan was due to fly the day before but flight was cancelled so maybe that also p*ssed off Mark as he liked to be in control so for him just Elaine mucking him around again.


So Dylan arrives and obviously doesn’t want to be there from all accounts, wants to stay with a friend that first night and Mark tells him no that’s not gonna happen. There is video footage of them in a Walmart ( it’s some supermarket) and Dylan doesn’t look happy at all. It’s just a build up of the hate for his ex wife - a child who he thinks is disrespectful and his mum has turned him against him.


I think it was just a pressure cooker and Mark was ready to blow at the slightest thing. You only have to see after all this happened that Mark was just out to hurt Elaine as much as humanly possible. I don’t think think he has every felt a bit of remorse for what he has done.


I don’t think we will ever fully know what happened that night as Mark won’t tell. Just theories on what likely set him off and I think your son seeing photos of you eating out of a nappy seems likely it would make him explode in anger.

LA PLATA COUNTY — Jury selection for the trial of Mark Redwine is scheduled to start on Monday.

Mark is charged with second-degree murder and child abuse resulting in the death of his son, Dylan.

Dylan disappeared during a court-ordered visit at his dad's home near Durango over thanksgiving break in 2012.

I have been recording all day and IMO this will be extremely boring until Voire Dire starts. Just the bailiff hollering at perspective jurors and judge reading instructions today, handing-out questionnaires, etc. all day today.
