What’s the point of the wall mart video , just to show them not engaging?

And that Dylan was alive and healthy before going to his father's house.

And that Dylan was alive and healthy before going to his father's house.
Mark told police that Dylan was at his home the morning after he arrived. He said he left on some errands and Dylan was gone when he came home.
Redwine told police at the time that his son was in his home when he left to run some errands at 7:30 a.m. that morning and that when he returned four hours later, the boy was missing.

So Mark himself say's that Dylan didn't leave during the night like he did in the past with friends as we heard in today's testimony. Dylan never went to the spot in Mark's kitchen that his friend Ryan Nava testified as being where a working cell signal existed and called or texted.

If Dylan was ok he should have been able to make contact with his friends that morning at the latest. If for some reason his devices were dead he would have told Mark and insisted on using his phone to contact his friends before Mark left the house.

Mark never said that happened.

We have testimony today that Mark's kitchen was the best place for Dylan's friend Ryan to get a cell signal. We don't know if his phone service is the same one that Dylan used but it stands to reason that he was taking about everyone who was in the house had the same issue with connectivity. Line of sight type thing.

So Mark claims he left Dylan at his house in the morning. Afterward this.
Mark Redwine says he came home from doing errands last Nov. 19 to find that Dylan – who was visiting for the week – was gone. “The TV was on. There was a bowl and box of cereal out,” he recalls. “After a couple of hours, I got concerned.”

The bowel and box of cereal would come from the kitchen right? Mark is placing Dylan right where the best cell signal is but Dylan never calls anyone. Why?

Excellent comment.
Thanks. I'm trying to stay on topic with today's trial testimony. There's much more to this case than that.

When we get to the "cadaver" dog testimony I will really look hard at it. I've been refreshing my memory on that subject and have saved a few links for that part of the trial.

Thank you everyone for posting all the details from the trial. I have been waiting so long, like so many of you have, to see justice for Dylan finally happen. I just can’t watch. I have to read. I got caught up last night, thanks to you wonderful folks :) Dylan’s friends did amazing! They stood up for him in the most important way they could. MOO

Personally, I really hope the prosecution doesn't even bring those pictures in. I don't believe that they're really the motive in this case, I think Mark Redwine was an angry bitter alcoholic, already really resentful at Dylan but more specifically, at his ex-wife and wasn't there some issue related to child support at this time? There's a part of me that thinks this whole thing could've been premeditated, but given the circumstances I'm sure they could never prove it. Motive is not required and there is plenty of evidence that Dylan died in his father's home, so hopefully they don't even need to go there.

IIRC, it was brought up as motive in opening statements, therefore MOO pics will be shown. MOO

the photos will be brought in and shown as it’s the motive for the case. They are so absolutely horrific that just imagine your 12 year old son finding them and taunting him with them.

I think there is a whole list of reasons why he went off and this is definitely one of them.

However I think they will.

My take on this has always been the fact that Dylan was being forced to go to his father's house. It was court ordered.

I think there is a way bigger picture here going on other than those filthy pictures of Mark. And it extends months and years before Dylan died.

Let's say the pictures never are brought into this, there is still emotional and gaslighting abuse by Mark.
Mark was an overly critical parent who focused on the negative things about Dylan's Mom and Dylan himself (we've spent years reading about this as well as seeing it on Dr. Phil).

MR invalidated and dismissed Dylan's emotions. DR absolutely did not want to go see his dad. He did not want to be around him. Yet Mark forced him to go.

I can see a situation where Dylan was forced to stand up for his Mother, standing up for himself.

Mark himself told us he didn't want to go to McDonalds he wanted to go to a sit down restaurant and "talk." DR wasn't having it.

He spent little or NO time with him at Wal-Mart. And when at Mark's home DR was in communication with his friends and wanted to leave the night he arrived to go to his friends.

MOO is there were many pieces of the puzzle and those filthy pictures were puzzle pieces too. Just maybe bigger pieces.

I wanted to add my thoughts about Dylan's friends testimonies yesterday. With the first couple of witnesses, on cross the defense tried to get them to say that Dylan played rough and had a habit of hurting himself. Had hitchhiked or talked about doing so. And had left friends houses in the middle of the night. The prosecutor quickly jumped on that and started asking the witnesses those questions right off the bat. Brilliant move!

It's too bad we will never see the footage in Walmart fully!

Oh and the prosecutor asked them all if he had any injuries when he left to go to his father's house. They said no.
