Not always, i seem to remember in the JR case they never warned anyone about a predator, only asked parents to talk to the kids an see if they knew anything.. IIRC

Not true. LE gave us alllllll kinds of information to let us know THERE IS A &^* PREDATOR living among us, and that we have a common goal to catch this guy, here's what we're looking for.... I can not say enough about this. These cases are like night and day.

With JR, everyone in this community knew soon enough that there was sick *% on the loose, that he was so close we could smell him...we were all chilled to the bone, in absolute terror and fear like you can't imagine, trying to track down this thing like you've never seen...looking over our shoulders in the meantime with the absolute knowledge that he is here bc LE told us so and told us what to look for....("Could've changed his appearance recently, might not have been at work on Monday, the cross...blah blah blah) That was the worst s44t I've ever seen in my life. It was like being in a real life horror movie. I believe SAW was the example I used to my friends on the phone and when we were all freaking the ^& out.

But Jessica brought many of us here, and all these tragedies are what have brought us together, here and now....I'm hoping we have a few angels looking over our shoulders, maybe helping to guide us along in our quests for resolution and justice (if there is such a thing). All I know is, the more the merrier, as far as coming up with ideas. As long as we don't tip our hands...its a FINE FINE LINE....

Surprise Surprise. Not so much. Thanks for the link :seeya:

Interesting interview. I wish the reporter would flat out ask him if he had anything to do with Dylan's disappearance just to see what the answer would be.

Kevin Torres. We will wait for you to let us know what you think about his "story."

Yep, I too have been a huge proponent of the theory of Dylan possibly setting out to walk..argued this possibility for quite some time as well as have objectively looked at ALL POSSIBILITIES away from the father and have proposed many of those possibilities and THOROUGHLY DISCUSSED those possibilities I've proposed.

It is my opinion at this point that Dylan did not set out and walk with all of his possessions that day..IMO not even set off walking until he was able to get a signal or hitch a ride..jmo..

The close family friend(close to both the father and mother) stated that IF the scenario was as dad says(ie.Dylan overslept)..IF THAT WERE TRUE that Dylan would have made contact with his friends..and would have asked if their parents could come pick him up.. HE DID NOT DO THESE THINGS(and my opinion is that the reason he DID NOT do these things HAS NOTHING AT ALL TO DO WITH CELL SERVICE) and his not doing these pertinent things IMO led me to believe Dylan never set out on foot with all of his possessions he'd brought on his trip and a fishing pole en route to his friends..nor in search of a cell signal or hitching a ride..

To add further credence to this not being a viable scenario at this point in time is that WE KNOW FOR A FACT that Dylan had in his possession not only his cell phone, but his cell phone charger..this important due to the fact that this further takes away from the possibility of Dylan setting out on foot and unable to contact friends due to no cell signal and was going to contact them once he reached on foot an area where his cell phone had a signal..

This was not necessary Dylan had his charger..therefor Dylan AT ALL TIMES regardless of cell signal or not and regardless of dead battery or not...DYLAN HAD FULL ACCESS TO HIS FRIENDS PHONE NUMBERS AND A PERFECTLY WORKING LANDLINE IN HIS FATHERS HOME..

Once again going back to the statement from those who know him best...IF THE SCENARIO WAS AS DAD SAYS..THAT DYLAN OVERSLEPT..DYLAN WOULD HAVE CONTACTED HIS FRIENDS AND WOULD HAVE ASKED IF THEIR PARENTS COULD GIVE HIM A RIDE...

a cell signal was NOT NEEDED for Dylan to accomplish making contact with his friends..

Another factor further cementing that in all likelihood Dylan never set out walking on door that day with all his possessions and a fishing pole is the fact THAT NO ONE SAW DYLAN WALKING THE ONE AND ONLY ROUTE OUT OF HIS FATHERS AREA TO THE FRIENDS..at one point there were possibilities of valid sightings..THOSE HAVE SINCE BEEN DEBUNKED..THEREFOR NOONE SAW THIS CHILD WALKKNG ON FOOT THAT DAY..

IMO Dylan did not set out on foot that day.. At one point I looked at this as the most viable of possibilities.. IMO due to the facts we know its no longer a viable possibility..jmo, tho.

A big "duh" on my part. Of course you can still access phone numbers even if you don't have cell service! I feel pretty stupid.

It says he agreed to interview on Thursday afternoon. I'm thinking the interview is over?

Oh yeah.... I was filling out a stack of forms that I started yesterday, they were all dated Thurs. 11/29/12 so I zoned out momentarily forgetting today was Friday.

Not to mention I'm watching a Law & Order marathon which narrows it down to all 7 days of the week.

*Prolonged blond moment*

The eye candy reporter. Forgot his name. I never forget a face tho :blushing:

We almost need a Kevin Torres thread downstairs lol

And maybe the fishing pole really is missing. We don't know that, do we? Just because the one found wasn't Dylan's, doesn't mean that Dylan's isn't missing. For some reason Dad thinks the fishing pole is missing.

Salem

Right. I do believe that Dylan had a fishing pole and that the fishing pole is probably not in the dad's house anymore. I think the thing some of us are wondering is why is the fishing pole a part of dad's puzzle? Where does dad's concern that a fishing pole is missing fit in to Dylan being missing?

IMO, JMO, MOO

Would these 'domestic violence accusations' be public record?

I can do some digging. But not sure if those things can be talked about in here?

Mark Redwine:

"That's been one of the frustrating parts in this because the county people that started the investigation don't seem to know how to handle the situation like this."

okay..hmm... well, on one hand I might agree. It does seem like when the FBI got involved progress became more significant. If my kid was missing I'd be lashing out that things weren't being done fast enough,... I don't know. I don't know what to make of this really. I can see it going either way.

Do you know where Mark has lived since the divorce in 2007 and before mom up and left? DR is familiar with that whole area, IMO and people there know him. IMO.
Not only that, the family owned the home for a year before the divorce. I'd say there's a reasonably good chance that they spent time out there "at the cabin" during that time.

Interview with dad on 9news...

9news is trying to get the records now.

Okay, I'll shut up about that now. :blushing:

We've been discussing the oddity of no outgoing cell calls/texts after 8 pm Sunday.

We've been told there may have been no cell reception at the home, but many of us still expect that DR would have kept the phone on to keep trying to send or receive calls/texts, especially since his friend(s) were expecting to see him Monday morning.

Previous explanations of why DR would need to leave at 6:30 am to allow time for him to get to his friend's house and still allow his Dad to make his early appointment time make sense.

The thing I don't understand (forgive me if this was discussed earlier) is that the kids according to Colorado public schools calendar were NOT out of school until Wednesday. His friends may be home schooled, but we've read that they were his friends from his previous school year.

So how were the friends out of school that Monday? I had a passing thought that he could have been planning to meet them early before they left for school or he could have planned to go to school with them to see everyone before classes began.

Even if he slept late and his friends were already in school, if he had cell reception, he could text them, right? (I assume they don't collect the kids' cell phones each morning as they enter school.) So we're right back at the same thought. Why wasn't his cell turned on? Why wasn't he at least trying to use his cell?

Yep, thanks for the link. Well, well, well. ..... Considering the neighbors who have come forward to help look ie the agencies and divers, he's got a lot of nerve to say he doesn't think LE is doing a good job handling the investigation? An investigation can only produce good results faster when its fed good information from the onset.

IF you go here:

Go to calendar 2012-2013 and download the Pdf.
Bayfield Middle school was out from 11/19-11/23 for T'day holidays.

Bayfield Middle School is where DR friend's went to school, IMO
