Really? What is the name of the missing person or year (if you can remember) that was found in ABQ. I did an extensive search and found nothing. How far do I need to go back? TIA.
Actually, I can't find anyone missing from Durango in the past 20 years. Odd? But that's JMO and my search. I suck a lot at searching.

I know one of the women found on the West Mesa in the mass grave there was from Colorado; only one I can think of.

I caught my first fish in Minnesota when I was 7. "Sun fish"?
I can't remember my first, but my biggest ended up being a turtle, and I wasn't even allowed to keep it. :furious:
My son caught his first when he was 6. He snagged a big carp in the side. When he finally landed it, he looked at the hook sticking in it right behind the gill and said "I didn't know that fishes ate from there." We usually just use corn for bait, it's cheap, easy and not nearly as gross as night crawlers, slugs, etc. I know a lot of people like sunfish, but most I know prefer pike or trout.

I agree, he probably knew that at the latest, Dylan would be delivered to his friends early on Monday and be there for a few days, so he planned what he had to get done before the holiday and the weekend. Not all people can clear the decks completely when their children come to visit; many cannot even take off from work. And short of forcing Dylan to get up at 6:30AM that morning, I am not sure what else he was expected to do.

In hindsight, I'm sure MR wished to heck he'd woken Dylan up that morning at 5:30 am to have him to his friends at 6:30 am as planned, even if he had to douse him with ice cold water instead of letting him sleep. Poor guy. Just one little decision changed everything, ya know?

We lived near a lake a couple years ago, and a stream went through our backyard... used to catch TONS of White Bass in that stream during spring/spawning. Pulled out a couple Yellow Bullhead, one Channel Cat, and tons of Carp. Oh and Creek Chub (they were super aggressive biters).

Yeah, I like to fish. I was the only kid who would go Walleye fishing with my dad. :)

:offtobed: Good night all. May tomorrow be the day that Dylan comes home.

Prayer vigil held for missing 13-year-old boy.

http://www.gazette.com/articles/boy-148009-friends-ago.html

Despite whipping cold wind, dozens gathered at Limbach Park Sunday night in Monument for a prayer vigil for Dylan Redwine, a much-loved 13-year-old boy who disappeared just two weeks ago in the mountains near Durango.

The Lewis-Palmer Middle School student was described by friends and family as an energetic and outgoing boy, who was able to build a solid group of friends in the area even though he and his mother had only moved to town a few months ago.

“He’s just a little doll,” said Nancy Gephord, Dylan’s step-grandmother. “He was so full of life.”

Gephord said Dylan’s charisma captured the heart of the puppy he’d gotten in August. The dog would follow him around and wouldn’t pay heed to anyone else.

I agree and am familiar with that horrible case, but the Co woman wasn't from Durango from what I know, found on the West Mesa in NM. God speed all those women. God speed.

Well on the other hand if my son knew he could not get them by phone due to location, he would just head out in a hurry to catch up with them not really thinking about the danger of going alone.

I bet this has been answered but I missed it. Can you text on an ipad?

But we have already heard dad saying he was texting all day from his home. So I don't know why Dylan would not have at least turned on his cell to see if it was working. And he had a landline, so he could have reached his friends. And his older brother said that he used to text and be on his cell all of the time. So it is out of character that he did not contact anyone, imo.

I think my DS, at 13, would have called to find a ride, and would have called his dad to see when he was coming, in case it could be earlier. And he would have called his friend in the same town, to see if they might be heading to B-town, and then called the friends to see if anyone could come get him. JMO

I know this is like beating a dead horse, :deadhorse:but it is still a big hurdle for me to get over, before I can believe that Dylan ran off to hitch hike to town. I just cannot believe he would do that before checking other options first.

I do think it is possible that some perp knocked on the door and lured him away however. But it is not my most probable scenario.

This is interesting. I posted Co fishing laws, not some yahoo thing. The yahoo is from 2011 even.

I give. I give.

going to bed. Night all. Have fun.

I only posted it because it shows that in fact they don't need a license AS LONG AS THEY ARE NOT USING TWO POLES OR EXCEEDING THE YOUTH LIMIT. Maybe that is why the guy from Walmart was a little off on his information. Also on the outline of fees for Colorado it says the two pole stamp is needed for any residents, non-residents and anyone UNDER 16. But due to their explanation being nonexistent I decided to look further. (Not to be snarky) I honestly think you need to look at info that others share also in a more positive light because while you were correct there are usually an exception to every rule.

What is wrong with the dad making appointments for that Monday if he knew his child was going to at his friends house Sunday night??? Had it not gotten later, Dylan would not have been home at all on Monday when Dad had his appointments. So while Dylan was off with his friends, Dad was suppose to sit at home and watch Dora The Explorer on Nickeloden??

Or to look at it another way, why didnt he take Dylan to sleep over with his friends, since he knew he was doing errands until noon the next morning. It was only 7:30 or 8 when they were passing through where his friend lived. Why is that so late that he couldnt be dropped off? They had gone to mcdonalds and the grocery store, spent some time together already, but why make them both get up at 5;30 when he could have just dropped him off as planned. ?

Fish & Wildlife "fees" only state this...

2nd Rod Stamp (Available to licensed residents, licensed nonresidents and youth under 16 years, licensed or unlicensed.)

Corn here too. I can't stand to drown worms, or impale them with the hook!

I'm sure every kid that Dylan knew has been questioned & their parents. At least I hope so. Get it out of the way and all. jmo

The only thing I can think of is that where he was going was in a different direction. The Dad said the plan changed because it was later than they expected.

Who knows why people do stuff? At the time he probably didn't think it was going to be important and I'm sure in hindsight, he wishes to God he had taken his son to the friend's house that night. Like I said, one little decision can sure turn things all around and go in a totally different direction one never expected.

I am confident in one thing; if Dylan's phone was broken or not working, or lost, or otherwise unusable, he would have told his father ASAP. He would have wanted a replacement, a loaner, something. He would not just say "oh well" and go to sleep. Anyway, JMO.

Unless he got up in the morning, tried to turn it on while going to the bathroom, and dropped it in the toilet. I've been told that even the "smartest" phones don't know how to swim yet.

Has it been verified he was in court? Or is that a red herring? My apologies, I follow too many missing children at times. I also have a life that is committed to all our children's welfare. Don't cross me babe, bad person with a verbal attitude.

I've only seen it mentioned here. All MSM has said is that he had an appointment with his divorce attorney.
