http://durangoherald.com/article/20...ors-searching-house-of-Dylan-Redwine-s-father

Dylan’s mother, Elaine Redwine, said he texted her when he arrived Nov. 18 at the Durango-La Plata County Airport.

bbm

Dylan, his mother, Elaine, and his brother recently moved to Colorado Springs.

http://www.pinerivertimes.com/news.asp?artid=1091

She said she drove here from Colorado Springs Monday evening, “as soon as I found out he was missing. I was on the road by 5:30 p.m. I also called the Sheriff’s Office.”

So the mother was the one to call the Sheriff.

So the mother was the one to call the Sheriff.

My understanding is that MR called both the sherriff and the mom.Anyone have info to the contrary? jmo

That would mean you are thinking premeditated.....Wow is all I can say...:(
I hope MR or anyone who loves him is not reading here. Even if this was the case, we have ZERO to substantiate this...IMHO

just WOW...

Me too and Im a little confused. Since MR has not been named a POI much less a suspect by LE in any of this how is it that some are able to accuse him of it already?

I thought Salem said yesterday that was a no no?

imo

I just want to make this clear, I did not post this. Her quote is running together with mine.

Thanks for clearing that up..... I was confused. :)

Oh sheesh now the posts are really messed up. Sorry.

Mother says she was the one to call the sheriff.
I haven't seen anything about MR claiming he called the sheriff.

Important Changes to the discussion :

Websleuths is a victim friendly forum. To be clear, the victim in any case we cover is the victim (missing and/or deceased child and/or adult). Dylan Redwine is missing and he is our victim.

We are going to open discussion on Dylan's father Mark Redwine although he has not been named a person of interest. The discussion however must have one foot in what is known in media reports and does not include sleuthing of property records, divorce records, etc. More often than not, we are finding that LE is reluctant to name a POI unless and until an arrest is imminent. However, the actions of LE may often times speak louder than words and for this reason, we are now going to allow speculation about Dylan's father.

Any questions or concerns with the above? Please personal message a moderator or administrator.

From the first page of this thread.

Have the LE released the home back to MR and is he in the home now? Does anyone know this? tia

I think he is back at home now.

I haven't seen anything about MR claiming he called the sheriff.

Well if mother said it must be true. Check the very first reports I am sure you will find it there. jmo

He said he will continue to stay in his house, saying he thought that was what would be best for Dylan. Mark Redwine’s brother also is staying with him.

from link I posted above

I think she was asking why Dylan didn't meet them Sunday evening as planned?

My boys always make these grandiose plans and then when they tell me of their plans, I have to ixnay them because of other things going on. I don't find that unusual at all. Kids don't think about anything outside of what they want to do.

  • #1,033
He did explain. He said he was going to take him to be with his friends that morning but Dylan was sleeping hard and didnt want to get up at that time which is so typical of kids his age. They have big ideas until reality sets in and then they dont want to get out of bed to go that early.

He said Dylan told him he had stayed up to 4 am the night before when he was still at his mom's and was tired.

IMO

I understood it that Dylan was to go to his friends Sunday night originally. That once he arrived plans were changed to Monday a.m.

Doesn't a parent in this situation hold out every last hope, even when the odds are against it? Don't they think until there is irrefutable evidence in their face ( a body ) that their child is alive?
Why not say 'we're looking for you ' ' we will find you ' ' don't give up , we are coming' ?

So conflicted on this :(

I used to think like that until the Pierre Barnes case. His dad seemed to give up hope very quickly. Wasn't it less than 48 hours after Pierre went missing that his dad was talking about finding a body ......... or even never finding him? In fact, the family had made plans to leave the island less than a week after he went missing (and before his body was found).

So, now I don't tend to read quite so much into this past tense stuff when its parents speaking.

I wish the reporter would have asked why the plans to take Dylan to his friends changed Sunday night and why Dylan's cell phone turned off that night as well.

Maybe it is in the transcripts and I missed it?

thank you. i took the information to the mods, letting them decide.

my only point was, if they searched one of his properties they should search the other. IMO.

Oh, I agree. I just brought that forward as others were questioning why we are allowed to speculate about MR. As I read the rules, any speculation must have a basis in MSM reporting. And I didnt bold anything in the post by nurse. That's how it was.

The coordinator of the volunteer search teams looking for Dylan Redwine said Friday that community interest in the case remains fairly high.

“This is still a heartache for (the community), and having no answers is scary,” Denise Hess said. “There is very high awareness. I feel (interest) might be waning a little bit. The momentum has definitely slowed down, but it is still pretty high.”

I was guessing they would find something in the car,, can you tell me why u don't think they will?

They might find that he was in the car but they wont find any blood or evidence of foul play...

that young man in my opinion was taken someplace.
