I've seen a couple of photographs of the investigators outside the home but I can't recall if there's been any video footage. I haven't seen bags of evidence or items being taken out of the home but that could be because there was little/no media, or they were able to put bagged items directly into their CSI vans.

As far as us knowing / being told:

At this point I guess we''ll have to speculate more and wait more...

Agree. Can't help but feel if there was evidense taken out someone would of gotten a picture. But, then on the other hand maybe LE asked them not to photograph or publish that. maddening :banghead:

Why no amber alert yet?

Dylan’s disappearance hasn’t been placed on the Department of Justice’s Amber Alert program for missing children. Inclusion for Amber Alert requires a confirmed abduction, imminent danger of injury or death to the victim and the opinion of authorities that designation will help resolve the case.

Doesn't meet the criteria, namely

There must be sufficient descriptive information of child, captor, or captor's vehicle to issue an alert

and

LE must confirm that an abduction has taken place.... which they hadn't settled on til recently (runaway possibility).

Gotcha, I was assuming because the ruled out possible runaway he could be on the alert.

<snipped>

someone mentioned that the dad could be hiding a live DR somewhere. I think this is the best case scenario.

bbm - I agree it would be great if it put him somewhere alive, but.. it's a pretty elaborate scheme and how would he be pulling it off? Is Dylan being hidden somewhere off on his own entirely or is someone helping dad hide him out? That person would be an accomplice in kidnapping, or custodial interference at this point, I'm not sure of the specific charge but at this point Dylan is likely supposed to be back with his mother so if dad is purposely hiding Dylan he's in huge trouble. Of course less trouble than the alternative. When would dad have time to sneak away from the investigation and possible surveillance to check on Dylan? Just trying to think that scenario through and it seems unlikely but worth considering.

I'm know little about body language, but shaking your head no while talking I find odd. Is it just me? Am I reading WAAAAY too much into this?

I have heard that before, but I also know that when I just don't want to accept something as being true, I will shake my head no. I have done that reading some of the posts and articles here. jmo

I believe Dylan "was his whole world" when he lived closer.
A hurt, resentful parent with a temper might do something out of anger, even accidentally. MOO.

I think what struck me so odd was the first half of his talk he was shaking no then he started nodding yes.

C.R.'s statement

Dylan's mother and older brother both insist Dylan wouldn't run away without contacting them, or if he did run away from his dad's home, he would have gone to them.

"When he was afraid in any situation, he knew he could call me and I would drop everything and go out there, first thing," Dylan's brother, Cory Redwine, 21, told ABC News. "He knew that me, my mom, my step-dad, any of us, if he called us and said, 'I need your help,' he knew we'd be there."

Not really odd; the same request was made to the public when Kyron Horman disappeared. (for certain time spans and roads)

In Cleveland, the way their airport was set up years ago, there would always be groups of people fascinated with aviation, gathered alongside across the road of the airport, to watch the planes coming in and out of the airport. For sure there were some cameras and video in the mix of those observers.

Perhaps the same is of the airport in Vallecito? These observation points do not have to be directly at the airport; they can be a few miles down the road. And nothing 'official looking' or set up; just people standing in a certain area(s) watching, observing, filming, pointing, etc.

Btw, the same is true of train fans; have been on some steam train rides and saw people at intersections and other areas, camera or video in hands to capture their moments.

And you know, out of sight, out of mind. Maybe things had changed in their relationship since he moved and he wasn't too happy about it. Disappointed would be a better word.

DYLAN - WHERE ARE YOU??

“We do know he reached La Plata County,” Bender said. Beyond that, there isn’t much.
On Sunday, Nov. 25, when Dylan was supposed to return to Colorado Springs to his mother’s, his family had hoped that somehow, Dylan would return.
When he didn’t, Dylan’s mother, Elaine Redwine, and his brother, Cory, were devastated, according to family friends.

http://www.pinerivertimes.com/

so Dylan was to stay with his dad from 11/18 thru 11/25.

and he goes missing within the first 24 hours?

this is mind boggling.

Why would he leave and not contact family?

Why would someone take him?

I want to know if he was seen on video at the grocery store?

I want to KNOW about the dogs picking up his scent in or near the house and where from there!!

This has gone on way to long.

Hmmm ... thinking best case scenario and a live Dylan. The friend of the dad or family (Nancy Grace transcript, for got the woman's name - Hess?)...

We were told Dylan and his dad stopped at the grocery store on the way home from the airport. He could have easily stocked up 'for the week' Dylan was there. Takes Dylan's phone away from him. Left Dylan there overnight. Came to check on him the next morning, 'out like a light' ... dunno. Thinking out loud. A lot of time between 6:00 p.m. Sunday and the time Dylan was reported missing Monday late afternoon.

http://www.pinerivertimes.com/

There have been no clues or confirmed sightings of Dylan since Sunday night, Bender said, and such a lack of leads is unusual.
“That’s what’s made it such a frustrating case,” Bender said. “We had to check every single possibility.”

Sarg is saying they got nothing.....no more than we do???

Yep! Several including myself have likely heard divorced dad's lament that they don't hear from their kids when they are back home with mom. Not even daily or weekly phone calls. Friends are more important in the tween/teen years. Parents at that point are merely the 'free' providers of food, clothing, shelter and cell services. They might be 'lucky' to get occasional sighting of their kids in this time period! ;)
