"LAKEWOOD, Colo. -- Six months after a Lakewood paramedic vanished without a trace, his family is now offering a reward, while police say they believe something happened to him.

Eric Pracht disappeared last July, after a heated conversation with friends in his Lakewood home. His fiancée said he was going for a walk to cool down and never came back."

Snip

"The family is offering a $10,000 reward for information on his whereabouts.

Steve Davis, with the Lakewood Police Department, said investigators have "nothing to go on whatsoever.""

More from the above link:

"A paramedic who loved helping people, Eric Pracht was also planning to get married and was excited about the future, according to friends and family, who have launched massive searches of the area he was last seen and areas where his family has camped in the past.

"He's an uncle, a nephew, a brother, a son," said Marcus Pracht. "We're all trying to hold it together for each other, but some days are harder than others. You want to be able to keep going with your life, but you don't want to feel like you're giving up on him."

Police said anyone with information can call the Lakewood Police main number at (303) 987-7111."

Hopefully the offer of the new reward will bring some answers to Eric's family.

LAKEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4) – One year ago Lakewood paramedic Eric Pracht vanished without a trace. After months of dead ends, his family is desperate for any clues that could explain what happened to him. They’ve even contacted a psychic.
Lakewood police admit the trail has grown cold.
“Our people are just stumped,” Steve Davis with the Lakewood Police Department told CBS4’s Tom Mustin.
On Sunday, Pracht’s fiance Preety Lal organized a balloon release to honor the Park County EMT — 12 months after he walked away from her life.
Family members say Pracht had his dream job, was happy, and looking forward to marriage.

Recently his desperate family consulted a psychic, who told them Pracht had been hit by a car — a lead detectives found no evidence to confirm.

“Nothing has ever panned out to be anything that we felt were accurate,” said Davis.

Detectives say despite several sightings of Pracht over the past year, all have turned out to be dead ends.

(Just a reminder that board rules prohibit discussing psychics. I'm just posting what CBS has reported.)

To me it looks like an accident, possibly a suicide, but I lean towards accident. He left in the dark, on foot without shoes, leaving car and keys behind. He left after an argument and had been drinking. In this condition (upset, barefoot, and possibly tipsy) he walked around in an area with steep canyons. An accident is most likely. Also, were bodies of water in the vicinity ever searched by dive teams?

Have the persons he was having the argument with been vocal at all? How about the GF?

According to this article linked earlier, "Detectives say a call from Pracht’s cellphone was detected around 5 p.m. Saturday near Green Mountain.". So he leaves to cool off from an argument without keys, shoes, etc, saying he will be right back but has his phone which he does not use to call anyone until the next day? Yeah, right. I'm guessing someone tried to call him at that number?

Oh, I would recomment to read his case on Reddit. Lots of comments from Eric sister about fiance and other things and also from Eric friends. Sorry, I don't think link to that is allowed. After reading there my own opinion on this case changed..

Over two years ago, paramedic Eric Pracht vanished from his Lakewood, Colorado condominium. Eric was last seen leaving his condo just before midnight on July 22, 2016. He and his fiancée were hosting a party when a conversation turned into an argument, and Eric left on a walk to get some air. He never returned. Several searches have been conducted around the area he was last seen, but few clues have been uncovered.

I just ran across this case after watching a missing persons video on YouTube. This is really troubling for sure. There seems to be a lot of info to go on for the police to have a clue, but it seems like the ball may have been dropped.

After reading the sisters comments and some of his friends comments it seems very sketchy!! A lot better of conflicting info as well. I’m torn on this one for sure. The bare feet seems a little odd, especially for an EMT to do and also the resin for the fight seems quite oddly timed.

This case drives me crazy because I live only 2 minutes away from where he disappeared and the more research I do, the more I believe this wasn't an accident or an intentional thing he planned. He disappeared from a condo complex and they're set up kind of like how apartment buildings are set up, it's like it's own little neighborhood if that makes sense. What I'm trying to say is that I can understand him leaving without any shoes on or essential items because if he just wanted to cool off, he could have wanted to walk around the complex a few times and calm down. When I used to live in an apartment complex, I'd sometimes walk to the mailbox barefoot or too the pool. I didn't always bring shoes or anything else because I was still on the apartment property if that makes sense. That's how the condos are, maybe he wanted to walk around the property to cool off and it was summer so shoes weren't necessary.

The condos are right across the street from Green Mountain (more like "Green Hills" if you ask me) but those are high traffic trails and I feel like he would have been found already if he really did wander over to the park. And also, as soon as you enter Green Mountain, the trail immediately starts at an incline so it's not like the kind of park where you have a bunch of open space for a while before reaching the first incline, the incline begins in the parking lot. And it wouldn't be easy to hike barefoot. Somebody mentioned earlier the park had canyons but it doesn't really...there are a few spots where you could fall down off the side of the hill but even those aren't very deep. You could easily notice if something or someone was down there.

Some theorize that he disappeared on purpose but I don't believe that either. The condos run across a fairly busy road that passes by churches, a couple of grocery stores and restaurants, even a high school. And the side walk that runs along that street is pretty busy as well. High schoolers use it to get to and from school, and there's always joggers, cyclists and people walking that somebody would have noticed this man.

I was reading a post of reddit that said there was a report of a gun shot heard at late at night/early morning and according to his sister, the fiance has completely blocked his family out of her life since the disappearance. The sister said his fiance won't let them have any of his belongings and she's blocked them on all forms of social media, which is also strange...his sister said his fiance has made the whole search a lot more complicated ever since she decided to delete his family out of her life...

Im really praying this case gets solved in the near future. I feel so bad for his family and he really seemed like a good guy whose life was just beginning. He had his whole future ahead of him and I dont think he'd willingly throw all of that away. Maybe it was an accident and he wandered somewhere he didn't mean too, but like I said, it's a highly trafficked area with lots of people on foot and on bike, even on the coldest of days. I can't imagine he wouldn't have been found by now had he wandered off to hike the trails. Which again, just want to reiterate, these trails aren't something you'd find in the mountains with lots of places to hide and plenty of trees. It's got mostly no trees, some bushes and quite a few cacti. It's not like this off the beaten path trail where someone could get lost. Don't get me wrong, the trails are long and it's easy to deviate from your intended path, but neighborhoods, streets, even the highway are almost always visable from anywhere you are on that hike.

Another thing I wanted to point out is that there aren't actually that many bodies of water near the area like someone has posted on here a year or two ago. There are two that I can think of but he'd have to walk pretty far to get to them.

Anyway, just wanted to share my two cents. I think about this man almost every time and I'm always looking for updates. He's got to be out there somewhere. I know we'll find him.

I’d never heard of this case until I listened to The Vanished podcast this morn. I’ve since been stuck in rabbit holes for over 4 hours! I can’t stop because this seems so solvable. Well, it should have been solvable then. I go back and forth on the fiancé being involved. I’m surprised his phone pinged like 17 hours after he disappeared, but phone nor his wallet hasn’t even been found. Wouldn’t the phone have needed charged to still ping at 17 hours later? My phone doesn’t hold a charge that long, even if I’m not on it a lot. So....WAS his phone really with him? Wouldn’t people have heard it ringing as his friends and family kept calling it and texting it to no answers....17 hours worth of them?? Something is so off in this case. I think I’m a good 40/60 split in favor of foul play over accident. (If I’m honest: 30/70). I’m not buying suicide nor am I buying leaving to start a new life. I only buy accident if it basically would lead him to being in even a small body of water. I hope he’s found soon. jmo

can't help but think he looks similar to this artist rendering of a skull found out of colorado, and nederland is apparently only an hour drive away from lakewood.. there aren't many recent UID out of colorado though, so i'm sure LE has already considered this UID?

OMG! That is eerily similar. Do you think they’ve checked already? Might be something to contact the family and/or LE about.

Definitely worth contacting LE, just in case, IMO.

There are nine exclusions listed on NamUs, and Eric is NOT one of them.
