CO Father of missing baby 25 years ago reaches out to parents of baby Lisa

I don't know if Mr. Abeyta is helping or hurting but I do think he is shaking some trees and that might in turn get more people talking. I hope so anyway.JMO.

Reporter Jim Spellman said a spokesman for the Kansas City Police Department confirmed that the neighbor has been cleared of any involvement in the disappearance of baby Lisa. The spokesperson said the department "has moved on from him," according to CNN.

(Posted because someone asked for a link, and not because I have any intention what-so-ever of debating what this does or does not mean with anyone today.)

Well if it is the neighbour's husband he is referring to, and he comes to this conclusion based on the info that we already have, then I'd have to say he's been spending too much time with MT, the biker guy.

Why would a "specially trained" army reservist be walking down a street, in plain view of anyone driving by, with a baby in a diaper in the middle of the night after sucessfully kidnapping her without leaving any trace evidence? Did his training suddenly escape him at that point? And was turning on all the lights in the house and stealing the phones part of his training?

I'd like to know who MT's cousin is that lives in town. Why is he implicating a specific person in that night walk? The husband of the other couple had the guy walk towards him and right by him supposedly and he hasn't implicated anyone it seems. :waitasec:

BBM

I have the image in my mind of that guy leaning against his car, back to camera, while his wife spoke to reporters. He didn't want to even be seen on camera, let alone give an interview.

IMO the gentleman's intentions and motives may be honorable but he's a little delusional.
Doesn't 'this is the most unusual case I've been in' seem an unusual thing for someone who turned up out of the blue to say?
I'd have thought someone trained in baby snatching would be leopard crawling through the reeds, not waltzing down the street dressed in white.

I'm not looking to debate either, I was just curious. I knew they had moved on from him- I didn't know that "he has no involvement in this case" or what not. I thought that was really strong wording for LE and had only observed it WRT Jersey, so I was curious what exact language was used. Thx for the link :)

You're welcome, Abby. :)

What kind of baby snatching training tells you to wear all white when doing something shady at midnight?

We are really good with links, there is another in post #13 :)

See, all this special training by the mods is taking effect :)

To be honest, I don't know that we're hearing about anyone LE hasn't cleared... I think they are doing a good job keeping it under wraps until they no longer care about the information getting out.

One exception being "D" who had MW's phone. I don't think they expected her to pinpoint him and explain that he's MIA, I don't think they wanted her to (thus the "I don't know who" comments even though she knows they had already talked to him once before he skipped town).

Otherwise I think everyone we hear about has been cleared at least to some extent. But that's just a hunch, no strong logic behind it.

"However, asked to confirm that KCPD cleared the neighbor, KCPD spokeswoman Stacey Graves wrote in an email Friday, "I cannot confirm the below statement. We are not providing specific information in regard to the investigation, which would include 'clearing' a person detectives have contacted."

Isabelle Z reporting. This is what I must have read. Sorry for delay

My bolding

Good points. He would have been easily recognized, would he go into the house with all the lights on, or would he turn all the lights on when he could have easily been spotted from the outside? He would have known the layout of the house, why keep the lights on?

And what is the motive supposed to be, some sort of revenge?

I wonder if LE got new information, and that's why they stopped clearing or moving on from people? Or is that information, that they are no longer refusing to clear people, misunderstood by me?

BBM: and the 2 boys ...

:waitasec: WHAT did they SEE ? ... WHAT do they know ?

IMO, it has to be "something" ... because the parents do NOT want them interviewed ...

MOO ...

Yes, and the 2 boys. What could they tell???????

And then walk out of the woods into bright lights where you could be easily recognized?

^ ITA. Bill Abeyta stated that he drove to KC to provide support for the family. Now it is revealed that he has a TEAM in KC and they have been there for weeks? Very disturbing, IMO.

BL has been missing for over a month. No one has been arrested. Every time there seems to be a lead, LE says it isn't important and that they have "moved on". The guy from the DA's office tells us it could be years before the case is solved. I am losing confidence in LE to solve this. I am glad GA is doing something!

I am not losing confidence in LE but I sure don't think a fresh set of eyes can hurt in this case. Looking at it from a different perspective can not hurt as far as I am concerned.

I'm sorry, did I misstate that? I thought it was reported that the person was seen walking out of the woods. My apologies if that isn't correct.
