Boulder County is reporting 172 persons unaccounted for. Larimer County is over 300. Most of these are probably OK, they just can't contact friends and relatives.

ETA: It's raining again and the NWS just issued a flood warning for the northern front range. :(

You all hunkered down? I got some Chile Verde on the stove. :) Ransom has an awesome recipe here in the WS Cooking Corner. :)

Raining, raining, raining, hope the lull yesterday gave workers enough time to clear some debris and mud from the drainage areas.

I knew I should have bought that canoe...

This is bad. :(

"...Rescue reported the St. Vrain River is rising 7 inches every 15 minutes.
"We are closely monitoring rain gauge levels at five stations along the South St. Vrain and North St. Vrain rivers," said Jeff Satur, spokesman for the Longmont police department.

Also Sunday, the number of presumed dead from the Colorado floods rose to six, after a second woman was reported missing and presumed dead "

I'm okay, thank you...its everyone else I'm worried about. We've had a couple days to prepare for this bc there was lull. This could be really bad. If it just stops raining, I think we'll be okay.

Re: Frederick, heard they got hit pretty hard. Not sure, though, let me see what I can find.

I am house sitting in Ft. Collins for the next few days. High, dry and well stocked with food.

The drive up here yesterday morning was interesting. Had to cross the South Platte, St. Vrain, Big Thompson and Cache la Poudre. Closed roads and water all over the place.

"Severe rains and flooding have created an emergency situation in northern Colorado, stranding many horses and other livestock.

The Pikes Peak chapter of the Colorado Horse Food Bank said they need volunteers with trucks, flatbeds or large trailers who can help load hay and travel to Weld County Monday. Volunteers who can help load the hay on to those trucks are also being sought."

Thanks Alyssa :)
