Good chance. I think she set leaving the house right away hoping any evidence would have been tainted with Gannon's mother being there. Surprised the house is a crime scene? Saucer sized pool of blood on Gannon's bedroom floor? This article says alot.
We can speculate.
There must have been signs of a clean up and that was removed by LE as well.

Wowsa - so the bloody board does play a role. Yikes. The board was accompanied by one of Gannon's socks! (According to info given to CrimeOnline).

I'm sure the forensics are still out on the sock, but I bet AS recognized his son's sock. That's probably when TS jumped ship and went to SC.

TS says the board and the sock may have "flown out" of the truck while she was driving (how did the sock get off?) and that the boards in the garage were frequently bloody.

Which brings us to AS's missing finger (which isn't missing). LS must know nothing about DNA if she thinks LE can't tell Gannon's blood from Albert's.
I'm curious which one of the search sites this evidence came from. And what other evidence has been found. And what search areas we don't even know about.

Most of all, I am just floored by the monstrosity of this woman. And her glib, convoluted explanations of the evidence of the horror she perpetrated on an innocent little boy. Oh, it easily could have been a woodworking accident or nosebleed with a serious amount of blood loss (as a mom, even little cuts are a big deal when kiddo is bleeding) and the wood just flew out of the truck into the woods?! Like, yeah, these things just happen every day, why are you hassling me?

Stauch added that her husband told her that Gannon’s sock and a bloody 2×4 board were found in the woods near Douglas County.

yeah that isn't suspicious at all

Holy smokes she is completely delusional. She was getting ready her defense based upon every single solitary piece of evidence found
Well. Flying bloody 2/4s won't fly with any jury. So digusted, IT gets more and more rediculous.

I agree, the evidence has to be overwhelming for that charge. When I read that she had been arrested I expected to see child negligent charges, abuse and obstruction for the lying. I admit, although I truly believe that she murdered Gannon, I was truly surprised to see the 1st degree murder charge.
bbm
Agreed.
I was thinking the best that LE would be able to come up with would be manslaughter or 2nd degree.

Hence the murder charge.

I think they knew he was dead from early on, and it was a matter of gathering the evidence to prove it.

That is what I was getting at. They had to have something or some amount of blood that would show there was no possible way to survive. I just don't know if that actually happened here. Maybe it was a bunch of little things that led them to that conclusion?

I guess she will never get that apology she wanted now. All these mean evil people saying all these horrid things about her. All she wanted was an apology for people hinting she would actually hurt that child. Oh and her husband needs to apologize, oh wait a minute, no he doesn’t because she murdered his boy, the child he left in her care.

Serioudly, I can’t imagine what Al is going through, knowing this disease came to his family and was invited in by him. I’m so glad to see he and alanden scting as a united front. RIP Gannon.

@Seajay BBM Hopefully Al understands that the Devil comes in many different disguises. He was only human :(

But wood IS so light. Basically like a piece of tissue paper.
I always see wooden boards being carried by the wind as I drive.

I feel dumb even giving her comments any notice because they're so dumb, but a sock wouldn't fly out of the truck. Just my experience but the way wind comes over the cab and hits the gate it pushes small items up to the back of the cab. Look in any work truck and you'll probably probably find all sorts of crap up near the cab.

Sorry, can’t help it, I am just shaking , let’s put her on Jeffrey Epstein suicide, but that is waaaayyyyy too easy!

Could be. I think they did find something that proved he was dead, and that’s what supported the tampering charge.

Say they found Gannon’s DNA or hair in the rental car, that would do it.

Wow. That was quite an emotional press conference. Landen is incredible. She's a very articulate and powerful speaker. The way she translated her mother's love and despair was profound and beautiful and devastating.

Al Stauch gave a very haunting and well-written statement as well.

No wonder Gannon was such a sweet and sensitive little guy.

I also appreciated that the family spokesperson? cried while reading that statement. I think she was affiliated with the Sheriff's Department. But either way, God bless her for expressing the sorrow of this case.

Crime Scene
Within days of Gannon’s disappearance, an El Paso County Crime Scene team arrived at his home to collect evidence. They returned several times and were spotted removing items from the residence and carrying items inside.

Stauch said she didn’t understand how authorities could call the home a crime scene after they saw Gannon leaving with her on January 27.

“How the hell is the house a crime scene if he left and didn’t come back with me supposedly? They are saying there is a crime scene with all this blood in the house, which they let people live in during the supposed crime scene for 7 plus days….but then a video shows him leaving with me walking.”

Stauch was referring to security footage captured by a neighbor, which reportedly showed her leaving at around 10:18 a.m. on January 27 with Gannon, and returning home a little after 2 p.m. without him.

Stauch claimed her husband told her about blood found in the home. She denied hurting Gannon and claimed that he would get repetitive nosebleeds that required frequent cleanups.

Stauch said Gannon also cut his foot in the garage a few days before he vanished.

“There are tools, wood, and woodworking in the garage, jointers and saws. If there was blood in the garage, it was from doing activities,” Stauch said.

Al Stauch allegedly called his wife and asked her why a “saucer-sized puddle of blood” was found inside Gannon’s room, according to what Tecia Stauch told CrimeOnline.

“He was taken around and shown different places of blood inside the house. There was some in the garage. But there are accidents all the time, nose bleeds. Gannon walked around sometimes with blood on his arm from nose bleeds.”

Bloody Board and Sock
Stauch added that her husband told her that Gannon’s sock and a bloody 2×4 board were found in the woods near Douglas County.

Stauch explained that her family frequently loaded up boards they didn’t need from their garage into the pickup truck, leftovers from her husband’s woodworking hobby. She claimed that there had been several accidents in the garage, which could have easily accounted for a bloodied board.

When asked how the board would have ended up in the woods, Stauch said that things have flown out of the back of the truck before while she was driving. She said the same thing could have happened to the board or Gannon’s sock.

When questioned whether law enforcement specifically told her about the wood or a sock, Stauch said, “LE [law enforcement] have not said one word to me, have not called me.”

Well, she sure loves to talk.

WTF? Just how much blood is in your house TS?!

It's a valid point though.

If there was so much blood, why did it take so long for an arrest?

And, people were coming and going.

Did Gannon come back at 2pm that day or did he go missing after 10am?

If he went missing after 10am then the blood was from abuse the night before, so . . . . . Why didn't the father notice all this blood?

Surely a saucer of blood in Gannons room, blood on tools and in the garage was enough to arrest T at the beginning.

This is confusing.

I'm glad I'm not the police.

Poor Gannon, this is dreadful.

Yes. They try to keep news hidden, but I was in county jail for a DUI and a woman came in who had slept with a 13 year old. Her life there was h*ll. Everyone rejected her.
In female prisons as well?

Re: Part 3 - I don't understand how she'd miss a "saucer-sized puddle of blood" in Gannon's room when cleaning up behind herself?

Do you see bloody socks flying out of truck beds, too?
