Both parents said at the PC they'd been told that day Gannon was dead. So I wonder if LH came back in anticipation of a some sort of non-murder arrest? (Assuming she really had returned to SC. I'm not sure we know that for sure although since she has other kids it would make sense.)

I don't personally think they've found Gannon. I know LE can hold back evidence but I don't think they'd hold that back from the family or tell them and ask them to keep it secret on national TV. JMO

My understanding is she’s been in CO (with a brief detour to her sister’s in Texas) and that someone had put her up in a condo etc. She had both of her young daughters with her but I believe one or both had stayed in Texas briefly at one point.

I thought she never was able to actually teach. And she blamed it on Landon. Something about her having a relative that blocked her job.

But my DD is currently in college in PA for teaching. She has had to have fingerprints done and an annual background check. From first semester. Also a TB test and flu shot each year. She has been in classrooms since first semester though.

No, that was later.

From https://www.myrtlebeachonline.com/news/local/article240806231.html

"Horry County Schools spokeswoman Letecia Stauch worked as a para-professional in Horry County schools from November 2010 until 2012. From 2012 to June 2015 she worked as a special education teacher."

“When he said Gannon is no longer with us, I have to say Gannon is with us. After the stories from people all over the world, he’s not only my hero now, he’s the world’s hero,” said Gannon’s mother, Landen Hiott, during a news conference where authorities announced the arrest.

Officials said that Letecia Stauch will have a hearing at 9 a.m. Tuesday in Myrtle Beach.

I think I need to go back and watch and read every interview with TS. She literally told us everything we had confirmed for us today by LE.
I still believe that he is close to home as opposed to the evidence that was strewn along the highway

We know he left the house and he looked to be in bad shape. I would have to think that if he was in the early stages of his life ending then you surely to god you wouldn't risk driving around with a dying child in your car.

If she intended to take him somewhere to finish him off so to speak, then you wouldn't risk driving from Colorado Springs to Castlerock with a child who was already injured and could possibly die, it doesn't make sense. What if she got pulled over by the cops, what if someone looked in the truck and saw Gannon struggling. Too many risks. I think dumping (hate using that word in reference to this sweet child) was the most frantic part of this. She took more time to conceal evidence and throw it all over the county and start spinning bulls#$% then she did to leave his body.

I also think he is close to home because that would fit her he ran away, or he was abducted narrative.

I still think there is something to do with the dogs or a dog related situation. It's creepy as all hell listening to that stupid bloody back to camera interview and hearing her change tense at that point.
If it's not near a dog park, i wonder if he will be found near where they took their dogs to play or chase a ball.
Wherever he is found will have a personal meaning to either her or LH & AS.

HAPPENING TODAY: Stepmother charged in death of missing boy set to appear in court

Stauch faces charges of first-degree murder of a child under 12 years old of a person in a position of trust, child abuse resulting in death, tampering with a deceased human body and tampering with evidence.

With the judge’s permission, WMBF News will stream Stauch’s court appearance live on our website, app and Facebook page.

Thanks, I just downloaded the app since I anticipate the site version will freeze up (as yesterday’s presser did) due to heavy traffic today. Unfortunately, my 10 am meeting was moved up to 9:45; hopefully the hearing will be over by then. Really wasn’t up to coming to work today at all, but couldn’t afford to take the day off. I second another poster’s sentiments (think it was @JTR1973, and others?) that I hope to never follow a case again, at least not while it’s still happening. This took way too much out of me :( and I know I’m far from the only one :(

Yes, I think it was the Superintendent or her niece that she accused of harassing her. I can't remember now but it was definitely someone in the school system related to Landen. She went to court and the charges were unfounded and her license was suspended for about six months for breaking her contract with the school. Jmo

As I mentioned early on, as a psychology student, I am ethically trained not to offer diagnoses of people who I have not myself treated. I can notice tendencies or have suspicions based on video clips and social media communications, but those alone are not enough to meet the diagnostic criteria.

I don’t know if narcissism is the best choice to explain Letecia’s behaviors. There are several other solid possibilities that might also account for them well.

However, in reference to questions about narcissism asked here, I *will* offer some general info about narcissistic tendencies.

A diagnosed narcissist uses what some call a “narcissistic supply.” In short, it means a narcissist feels insecure and fragile and they compensate for that by gathering up people, jobs, accomplishments, maybe even “talking points” that make them feel important. They must constantly have a supply, so if any of those items (people or roles or story lines etc.) at some point no longer validate and affirm and applaud them, a diagnosed narcissist is known to cut ties with the old “supply” and find someone or something new to replace it.

This is why some narcissists are able to go a long way (some probably their entire lives) without anyone catching on to their patterns. They woo one person or employer, and then when that relationship breaks down, they quickly move on to discrediting and discarding them to wooing another.

It’s at 9 am EST.

Hopefully extradition will be fairly quick so that the process can start in Colorado ASAP. I'm sure it will take many months, if not longer, for the case to get to trial. I do keep wondering if that Baez guy will end up representing her.

That's the big one, the really big one from the shards of her broken heart she offered him to the world.
We must find him for her, even just a bone....
the world owes her a debt of gratitude.
This is the one that I will miss sleep for, she is worth it.

I’ve been following Gannon’s case here since he went missing, reading along but not having anything to say before now. There was one big theory floating around here that I was scratching my head about. Several of you felt that he had been gravely injured by stepmom Sunday night and that by Monday, she knew his injuries were too serious to explain away so she felt she had to get rid of him. I don’t follow most cases outside of Websleuths, so I figured that many people were doing their own sleuthing and found evidence for it outside of MSM and that there probably wasn’t a ton of specific evidence to substantiate that theory.

I was wrong. I had read mentions of the carpet video here but by the time I saw them, any posts that either shared the video or talked about it in detail had been removed, so I didn’t look into it further. I finally watched the video yesterday.

Dear God, that is not the sound of a child terrified because he got yelled at. That is the sound of a child in pain, and the only terror I hear in his voice is his terror over how much pain he is in.

I have two boys about Gannon’s age. I have never, ever heard them make noises like that.

NCWatcher, I am little confused,as not living in America but due Gammon's Dad and Mum's employment there would have been a security check on family and partners.
Unless TS lied about her criminal record which is possible. IMOO
I have a family friend much older than me who lived a rather interesting life in the eighties she met her husband who was in Army Reserves in Australia, he had just accepted his promotion while they were about to marry when he was informed a) he was to break off his relationship with her or b) resign from the Army. What happened was over twenty years earlier she and a group of friends went back packing around the world, which they went in and out of Eastern Block Countries, some how she was never questioned about but placed on the watch list. Any way they were in America, where they lost money, broke and needed money to get to New York, they were offered employment. As my friend put it it did not matter the people and their family/friends were anti government in New Orleans( she called it the Red Quarters, I think it was a nickname ), but they offered safety, shelter, food for her group they worked there for some time before resuming travel to New York.
Last year her visa to America was declined due to her past.
Stealing a car, even in Australia people would not be employed as teachers even if charges did not go to court. I had a security check only ten years ago as I worked in a up market hotel it was at the time run by American Hotel Chain. They ask "Have you been arrested/charged by police even if it did not go to court". I had to go my boss and tell that I was fined for Jaywalking, Perth, Western Australia back in the 80's, he checked, sure enough it came up on my Police Check.... (slight Blush) I was running late where I had go, also wearing Head Phones( I blame the volume of David Bowie Music ) I did not hear him calling me to stop....... so three officers went into pursuit ........
I was informed if I had not admitted it my employment would have been under question.

I wonder how did the Step mother stay under the radar?

Teachers in Oz are paid well- here, not so much, unless the district has a union.

On the other hand, the idea of blocking licenses for charges without convictions isn't appealing either.SBM

Anyone can sue anyone in the USA. I wouldn't mind seeing a list of what stepmom was actually convicted of.

My hubby is a firefighter. A few years ago he went to a wreck...the guy was drunk and had flipped his car, taking out multiple streetlight poles. He had drugs on him. Nasty to officials on scene. Turns out he was (prob still is) a middle school teacher. It was never in the news but he was still teaching a year later. Schools need teachers. Look up the phrase "passing the trash" and you'll see what I mean. Here's a quick idea:
“Passing the trash” occurs when a teacher accused of sexual misconduct is allowed to leave a school – through a confidentiality, separation agreement or other means - and quietly seek employment at another school without the new employer being alerted to the allegations..... "

How does one go about stealing a man like Albert? Looks a tad large to pocket & waltz off with unknowingly....did he protest or willingly go off with the thief?
Asking for a friend or three

I think the point is, he was married to Tee's friend. She had an affair with her friend's husband.

Not saying he wasn't equally to blame. I would be very upset if my husband had an affair. But doubly so if it was with a friend of mine. Just sayin....

In all fairness, the rumors (posted by people who were allegedly there and watched the whole thing play out, etc.) are that TS set her sights on him and went after him with a vengeance (last part is my words/interpretation). She knew what she wanted and spun her web to get it, as the master manipulator/con artist we now know her to be. There are also rumors that LH and AS’s marriage may have already been on shaky ground at that point or somewhere along the line (and other details I won’t go into here that somewhat equalize the story/may give more insight into his choices and actions), so he would have been even
more vulnerable. While I know AS is an adult and made choices, I still see him as a victim here (not just with Gannon but also in being vulnerable enough to allow himself to be suckered in by TS). The same goes for Landen, who made some (now public) choices she likely regrets now. I know some will disagree and I’m not going to argue or debate the point. We’re all human and we all make poor choices at times, especially with the limited information we sometimes have to go on; hindsight is 20/20. Proverbs 7...

Bottom line at this point is that regardless of past choices, both parents are victims and deserve our compassion. And I’m glad to see them united and presenting a united front now. One poster (not here) posted a pic of their locked hands at yesterday’s presser and said someone should show it to TS because it would surely enrage her; her demonstrated goal/desire was/is to cause further division between them (Gannon’s parents), not unity.
