I still see this as one of the possible reasons for the car rental on Tuesday morning.
I keep going back to her baked-in story, and the mention of her car being part of that story:
Gannon Stauch: Missing boy's stepmother releases statement
“Saturday Night,
G was helping me unload in the garage and cut his foot because there are a lot of tools because Albert does woodworking,” the statement said. “He sat on the edge of the car and we bandaged it up. He was good to go.”
I don't like that mention of the car in the context of GS having "cut his foot," because it seems to me that she's trying to explain away forensic evidence, i.e, blood, that could be found in/on the vehicle.
In her account, she said "car." She didn't say truck. I think it's her car she was talking about.
I think she may have stopped and gotten her car washed after she dropped the rental back off at the airport on Wednesday.
I know a lot of people favor the idea that TS moved GS's body in the rental, and it's certainly a possibility, but I'm not entirely sold on that scenario yet.
Presumably, TS had her phone with her when she went to pick up AS at the airport.
He would have called her when his flight landed.
If she "left it at home" for a second straight day, that would look beyond suspicious.
Especially given the fact that GS had been reported missing.
What parent wouldn't have their phone glued to their person in the event of their child being missing?
Aside from picking up the rental at the airport, we know almost nothing about TS's movements on Tuesday.
In addition to providing some hints as to where TS went in the truck on Monday, the witness list probably provides us some clues regarding where she went in that rental car on Tuesday.
I'll be very, very interested to learn where TS's phone was on that Tuesday.
