_______
The sheriff's office said they were contacted by the Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office in Florida on Wednesday about a deceased juvenile male found in Pace, north of Pensacola. The District One Medical Examiner performed an autopsy and tentatively identified the juvenile as Gannon Stauch, according to the El Paso Sheriff's Office.

This article says Wednesday but I thought the road worker found him on Tuesday. So maybe FBI and CO LE were scanning all bodies found across country and that call was from LE to LE, not the road worker calling it in.

Gannon Stauch's body was discovered in Pace, Florida, where the local sheriff's office "responded to a call of a deceased juvenile male," according to a statement from the El Paso County Sheriff's office in Colorado.
"An autopsy was performed by the District One Medical Examiner and the deceased male has been tentatively identified as Gannon Stauch," the sheriff's office said. "We would like to extend our deepest sympathies to the friends and family of Gannon."

Thank you

Yeah see there the guy called it in as a juv male. GS must still have been intact enough to tell he was male.

So the workers were able to identify him as a juvenile male. And the local sherif rather quickly was able to link him to Colorado. But after an autopsy he is “tentatively” identified. What’s with the tentatively?
I am almost afraid to speculate anymore in this case but I think LE in CO and the FBI were well aware TS was in Florida weeks ago. I think they have been very much on top of tracking her movement from Colorado to South Carolina. Hence all the multi state investigation talk we heard at the time of her arrest. Moo

I just remembered that during one of her interviews TS said “He’s probably out of state by now.”

I agree. And the witnesses on list from Alabama, Louisiana, Texas and FL too I think. It’s a long route. Imagine, there’s no way they could have had searchers out that entire 2000 miles. It’s just too bad they didn’t follow her as soon as she left state or put a tracker on whatever car she was driving. All rentals have trackers I think but they needed to find which company she used first. Which if they were monitoring her from day 1 she could never have escaped CO like that.

The only thing I find a bit of comfort in is imagining how LS' heart sunk when she found out his body was discovered. Everything else is horrific. I'm assuming, since all three methods were used against him, that she beat him first with the board, then slit his throat with the knife, and finally shot him to ensure he was really dead. There is a special place in hell for people like LS. How anyone can plan carry out such an atrocity is beyond me. I'm glad the DA said it was deliberate -- I've long wondered if it was deliberate just because she posted that "we're all happy" photo from Sunday. I wonder how long she was planning this? Rest in peace, little man.

I guess that will depend if they had more than just suspicion in that first week. They would have had to have good evidence a crime was committed or she was involved in a crime in order to secure a warrant to have her tracked.
It also could be she used a decoy.

SBM - I’m now noticing she never exactly said she was thrown out of the home, did she? Her exact words (in the back-to-camera interview) when explaining why she wasn’t helping with searches, etc. were “I’m not coming home to do these things and to help with the family when I was kinda like told I couldn’t.” Kinda like? That’s an interesting statement. I bet she played up being unwelcome not because it was true, but specifically so she could exit stage left to continue moving Gannon’s body, destroying evidence, etc.

That's undoubtedly true.

Someone asked Spencer who was with TS at her backwards cousin it interview. His reply :

A couple of her other family members, one of her aunts, etc. I remember a total of 5 people in her caravan.

Spencer Wilson on Twitter
5 people , all dragged along for that interview . All her supporters , wonder where they were are at her court appearance . Did they actually believe her when others looking on could clearly see barefaced lies ?

Gannon Stauch's body was found near Escambia River Bridge on Interstate 90 near Pace, Florida, by a Florida Department of Transportation construction crew, said Sgt. Rich Aloy of the Santa Rose County Sheriff's Office. Pace is 15 miles north of Pensacola.

"I filed eight counts of crime of violence, for the alleged use of a firearm, a blunt instrument, a knife or other sharp object," Allen told reporters Friday during a televised news conference.

Allen would not elaborate on what he believes happened to Gannon.

Stauch's mother, Landen Hiott, told ABC News that she will bury her sonin South Carolina, where he spent most of his life.

Letecia Stauch faces life in prison without parole if convicted of first-degree murder.

Her next court appearance is set for April 14 in Colorado Springs.

I think we are going down a rabbit hole here. It's possible the person finding the body thought it was male based on clothing remnants/hair remnants even though these days those are not really definitive. But he had a 50/50 chance of guessing right anyway. Still I'm not sure that's even what happened.

I very seriously doubt the road worker who made the discovery called it in as "the remains of a juvenile male." Who talks that way? LE that's who. Not a freaked out road crew member. Because it was small the finder may have said a kid's body. Not many adults are under 5 feet tall. And frankly, decomposition likely made the body look smaller.

Maybe LE decided it was male body before medical exam of the leg/pelvis/skull proved it to be male. But when FL LE called CO LE, it was likely known to be male. And when that call was made LE terminology would have been used. And by implication the reports SEEM to say the road crew member said "juvenile male." But they weren't actually quoting the road crew member. I mean if the crew member had said something like "it's so far gone I don't know if it's male or female" it's not as though LE would say that to CO after checking the "missing body" database and calling.

Does the gag order mean we are unlikely to hear any additional details until trial now? Sealing the case seems to give TS the comfort of knowing that not everything is out for all to see yet. But I understand it must be done to ensure a fair trial. It’s just frustrating when you’ve followed this for 2 months and now we may not learn much more until she faces a jury of her peers.

I'm surprised the media were not tailing her movements , they are always on a story they know as suspicious . Cross state does make that more difficult perhaps she managed to shake media off

I just want to say to Al and Landen that I am so sorry. I know the thought of them finding him so far from home is awful, but I hope they are able to see that there are a lot of us who are from the area he was found that love him and were praying for him as well. I’ve seen several others on here from Pace/Pensacola and I hope that is able to give them a small sliver of comfort.
I am having a hard time reconciling something right now. My 11 year old daughter has been following this case with me because Gannon reminds her of her friends... fifth grade, 11 years old, tons of personality.... on February 22nd specifically we drove over this bridge on the way to a birthday party for her friend... a boy turning 11. I feel absolutely SICK knowing Gannon was RIGHT THERE. I am so glad they found him because I feel like this will be the ultimate nail in her coffin.
I’m sorry if this is all gibberish, I had to get it out and I know y’all understand.

Are they not charging her with the assault on the deputy??

Good question. I don’t have the answer tho. I haven’t seen those additional charges. I’ve also been out of the loop the last week. Perhaps that incident would be separate charges in Kansas? Moo

She wouldn't be charged in CO but in Kansas where it happened. I doubt she'll be charged but certainly wouldn't face charges there instead of what's in store in CO.
