I don't think I've ever seen a killer go to the extent of covering up a crime the way Leticia has done. The extensive list of the exhaustive physical and mental planning and scheming is so far beyond anything that a typical child abuser/killer would do. Her most bizarre action (and there are many) imo, was asking a random reporter on the street for an interview, so she could spew her lies and profess her innocence. This, with her back turned so people wouldn't recognize her, and at the time when she knew Gannon's remains were being moved out of state.

I don't know the explanation for a killer like her... manipulative..psychopathic..delusional..crazy..evil? I know some child killers can be compared to her, but she is unique imo. This teacher, mother, step-mother and wife had a dark soul, and was the most dangerous threat to everyone around her. I also think Gannon's little sister "dove a bullet" because she didn't witness his murder. Scary.

I'm expecting to one day learn that Gannon's little sister was able to tell LE a great deal about T's treatment of Gannon.

Maybe they didn't include it in the Affidavit to prevent her having to testify which would just bring more trauma after she's suffered so much losing her brother.

AS spends Sat night Jan. 25 in Denver and flies out to OK the next day.

Saturday, Jan 25: From 12:15 noon - 7:58 pm —
TS was online googling how to find rich guys, military guys, etc, complaining about being a stepmom. “I’m over doing all of the work for my step kids.” Last entry at 7:58: “Find a guy who wants me to take care of his kids and get paid.”

She picks up the same line of searching again at 9:23 am next day Sunday, Jan. 26.

Was she doing all of this googling on Saturday when AS and his mother were still in the house!?!
What did she do Saturday night from 8pm - 9 am?!?
What time do kids go to bed?

I think she made up her mind to get rid of G on Saturday 25th or shortly before, either that or she was ready to blow at the slightest thing. If so, why take a peaceful “hike” at almost sundown on a Sunday when she had work the next day and kids had school? Doesn’t fit the mood of an angry, “over it” stepmom.

I actually don't think she was abusive to the kids prior to this event. I know that's not the commonly held opinion, especially considering her past record. I think she was just the opposite: too lenient and permissive with them. I think AS was becoming concerned about that and attempting, like a good father would, to get her to be more strict. From what we've seen of her texts and things she's said, he was the one who knew who Gannon's friends were, he was the one who said no to staying overnight at friends' houses, he said no to playing at least the Zelda game. I think as Gannon approached becoming a teenager, AS grew more concerned that LS, who seems very immature and all about having fun and doing fun things, wasn't being the kind of involved and watchful mother he wanted her to be. I think as he became more aware of how childish she is, he turned off to her. I think that caused her to become increasingly frustrated and angry, and increasingly insecure and defensive. A scenario where she's trying to be more disciplining and Gannon is not responding to that, all the while she's feeling angry, resentful, and insecure - that's a primer for a violent outburst.

I roll for and against this train of thought too.

imo landen and tee detest each other. that's pretty clear. but something landen said in the pressers implied that she had no quams those kids being in her care.
it blindsided even Landen herself.

tee is also a qualified school teacher as well as a mother ,more than capable of holding her own.
I think it was more a charade for her being the 'cool' mum like auto pilot at work tolerating kids you secretly cant stand and cant wait till the year is out to be done with them.

I believe she manipulated and abused the kids mentally but was smart enough to rein it in unnoticed.

other parents have put on record she was a good teacher and well liked by children under her care.

life was just one big charade of game playing for tee. in all areas of her life.

why she unravelled like she did when she did imo has a lot to do with Al staying in Denver the night before when he really didn't need to.

Have to leave all of you thoughtful posters on this thread, and will check back in some time tomorrow.

Thinking about the video of Gannon and his little sibling waiting outside to get into the car.
Just how ?
How could she brutally murder a boy she'd cared for, for some years ?
She'd had them for what, 3-4 years ?
Even if she never bonded with them ; just having the little ones around and preparing meals and going to their school functions, listening to how their day went and planning outings, etc.

I thought Adrian Jone's case was horrifying and it was, but this is just as chilling.

I’m having the same thoughts about HOW could she do such a brutal and heinous thing. I sure don’t have the background or skills to analyze TS or what makes her tick like some of our excellent fellow sleuthers do. But your thoughts about her not bonding with the kids after this many years got me thinking.

LS & AS married 5 years ago in January.
Probably been together 6 years -she mentions having Laina since she was 2.
G would have been 6 when they got together.
HH would have been 12.

LS seems to thrive on drama and turmoil- there seems to have been quite a bit with AS divorce/custody.

She has mentioned many times how she was the “rock” and the hero that pulled it all together for AS and kids.

She’s talked about how Landens parents helped out when they lived back there. She said she (LS) took them to school and the grandparents picked them up. So she really wasn’t “ doing it all” like she wants us to believe. But she was HAPPY with the drama, I’m sure.

They just moved to Colorado in January 2019, barely a year ago.

Not going to speculate on LH ( I have much respect for her) but I get the impression that her life situation had become more stable than it was a couple of years ago.

AS is probably happy living here and putting all his energy into his career , kids are hopefully thriving in new schools and neighborhood. I hope she wasn’t a monster to them the whole time she was in their lives.

HH graduated high school early and started college last August plus has a job. LS probably resents her for growing up and leaving her.

LS was only 19 when she had HH . It seems like they had more of a girlfriends/besties relationship instead of parent/child. And now HH probably wants a life of her own. So that’s coming to an end.

So now everyone is functioning fine without needing LS to be their “rock” (while making herself center of attention).

GS is getting older where she can’t fool him anymore into thinking she’s fun or nice. Maybe Laina, too. They weren’t so little now.

So, if LS wasn’t a twisted, immature individual with a criminal past, she would have probably felt freed up to put her energy into a full time job (we all know how she destroyed those chances). If she was normal and balanced, she WOULD be bonded with the kids and husband by now.

I guess she grew up in the Carolinas and seemed to prefer the swampy beach life. Colorado was probably a bit of a culture shock for her, look at all her photos with the sleeveless flowery outfits. Never saw her in Winter mode. lol. Add to that the fact that all of her family was back East. I think she hated it here . And hated who and what brought her here.

I’m thinking all this with the supposition that she might have loved AS and wanted to make it work in the beginning. I do believe she is one of the most selfish self -centered and hateful beings I’ve ever witnessed.

So BY NO MEANS am I saying these things to excuse her or explain away her awful deeds. I don’t think just one thing triggered her or pushed her over the edge, either. It was premeditated with thought and intent.

This probably sounds pretty simplistic, the way I’m looking at it. She might have become just as miserable and discontented without all these factors. I guess it’s human nature for us to want to make sense of it.

IMO she resented AS , LH and “those kids” for the whole last year for bringing her here. She resented the hell out of it. I wish she had just up and left.

I hate her for what she did to them although I was taught to never use that word.
Now we just wait on justice.

IMO, this EXCELLENT timeline strongly suggests that LS raged after the carpet situation, went too far, then after staying up all night in an anxious and paranoid state decided she had to kill him as the extent of his injuries were too great to hide.

Hypothesizing what I said above is true , wouldn't this still be premeditated? She *might*not have Intended to kill him at first, but she certainly planned his murder at some point. She could have stopped after the initial violent event, and sought medical treatment.

And AS had an early flight so they went to airport together so she wouldn’t have to go alone. I get the impression her flight probably took off at 3 or 4 am. and his maybe 6 am. IMO they didn’t get a hotel, just hung out. Colorado Springs airport is pretty small and some airlines don’t even come here. You can save a ton of money on tickets by making the 1 - 1 1/2 hour drive to Denver. JMO

Thanks for info. I only saw the part were they were standing there. Did not see TS. Why would she back the truck into driveway before they were heading out on hike and make them get out of it? Why were they in it to begin with? Had they just returned from somewhere? And why were they standing there for so long. What was she doing?

The red truck is parked on the curb the whole time and doesn't go anywhere. It looks like they are playing on the front lawn, waiting for TS to back out the other car from the driveway. That's the black SUV, the Tiguan. And presumably TS is driving it. You can hear her call out to them. They run over to her.

That's just my interpretation of what I see.

Didn’t she reportedly say Eguardo was a guy working at a nearby house that she approached about repairing/replacing her carpet? They probably put him on there just in case he does exist (and they can find him) and has helpful info re her description of the carpet damage.

I doubt they’re looking for him very hard, but he just might pop up. Especially now that he’s been accused of rape. Or he may have gone deep underground, horrified to be dragged into this mess. If he even exists, that is.

Whether serious or a joke, I wish they’d taken @MassGuy’s approach and put the name in quotes. Priceless!

I am way behind on this thread due to work, but I was re-reading the AA last night and a couple of things jumped out.

The Eguardo story seems so crazy, but what if she did give her garage code to this guy working in the area on construction? Per the AA, she stated that he was supposed to come in and repair the carpet while she was out 'shopping'. What if her plan was to frame him by having him come into the home while she wasn't there. Along with searching for a place to leave Gannon and perhaps finish him off, she was purposefully staying out of the house to give Eguardo time to enter.

Also, the carpet with the stain was found inside a roll of carpet in the utility room according to the AA. She probably cut out the stained area and replaced it with a scrap of carpet, hiding the stained piece inside the roll. Her plan may have been to claim Eguardo did the work while she was out or maybe she roughly pieced the carpet in and expected Eguardo to repair it properly. Per the video and ADT, Eguardo never showed up, though.

I am still of the mindset that Gannon did not return after the 10ish am departure. Something very bad happened in his bedroom, but I think he walked out to the truck in poor condition and didn't return. MOO

The other thing I noticed was that LE said the Nissan Altima was rented by the aunt until Feb. 1st. Does this mean that the Altima was only for local travel? If they drove the Altima to SC, that Feb. 1st doesn't fit with the arrival in Florida of Feb. 3-5th. I think this means that LE did not track her after she left CO. I always wondered why there was no statement about what vehicle she was in while in Florida - maybe LE isn't sure what she was driving. Of course, the AA doesn't show everything and there was no body at the time it was written. Just some thoughts on this crazy crime.

Has anyone else wondered if LS used the switch to strike the killing blow to Gannon? I have been wondering if she did and if Gannon got on his switch after he grounded from it and LS blew her top over it, picking it up to strike him with it.

I have been wondering about it as well. We have a switch and while the corner could be used, I think the screen would shatter and that would leave tiny bits of evidence on carpet.
