G looks underfed in this pic. Could be neglect or anxiety/sadness/depression, either can result in underfeeding.

Both of my nephews are just as skinny as gannon was in those photos both at his age and also now as teenagers. My one nephew also eats huge amounts of food. Some kids are just skinny no matter what.

I remember a photo of dogs in the garage from very early on. I can't place it in context though. Don't take it as fact bc i may be misremembering but I thought it was night 1 or night 2. I thought it was pretty immediate though. There was a photo at night with dogs in the front with the garage open that I'm thinking of and a lot of officers talking in a circle.
I remember that, too. And a photo of that large bloodhound walking with an officer in front of the house. It looked like the dog that signaled on the haybale in the barn in Kelsey Berreth case - however, I suppose being the same breed, it could have been a different dog. At any rate, I can't find the photo, but I did see a bloodhound at the residence.

Well, I'm finally fully caught up on the thread, so I googled "Letecia Stauch Facebook screenshots" because a lot of ppl on here discuss her SM posts.
This is wild! I usually head to the comment section first on any article or sensational SM post anyway. (I have a thing for the "Peanut Gallery" as I call it.)
I have NOT been disappointed so far. Plus, I'm reading about things that weren't in the WS threads for various reasons, and I'm really starting to gain a WHOLE new level of understanding about just what kind of "woman" LS is... Wow...

WOW, I went and looked, too, and it exponentially expands how horrible I think LS is - and NO, I don't think that anyone could have been around her without knowing what she was - but just who I won't mention bc of WS policies.

I (personally) do not believe Gannon was under-fed. Gannon's Mother (LH), disclosed that he was taking Vyvance for ADHD.

Common Vyvanse side effects may include:

I agree with you I'm convinced it wasn't random. They stated right away when it was announced that they suspected it was Gannon. They didnt even wait on an autopsy to verify before making this public. How would they suspect that if they weren't already looking. Maybe state police there in Florida, or even states along the route, were given heads up. I'm sure there are enough kids missing closer to Florida than Colorado. The only other possibility was that something within the suitcase matched identifying information that matched right away to information in an FBI database despite the distant location. Possibly??? IMO
According to what I read, the body was found by a road crew on Tuesday the 17th, and El Paso police were notified on Wednesday. On Friday, the 20th, LE stated the body was tentatively determined to belong to Gannon based on the preliminary autopsy results.
They already had his DNA, so I'm assuming they either used rapid DNA, which takes less than two hours, or they had a match within 24 hours. They also could have used his dental records to identify him.

There's no information yet about whether or not LE suspected the body could have been moved to Florida. I'm surprised the media never knew that a body had been found until after the autopsy, when it was announced by LE.

Imo

I think we all know of whom you speak.
Gannon was failed by most of the adults in his short life; sadly.

We just drove over the Escambia River Bridge to pick up lunch. I wanted to share how loved Gannon is here and how people here care about and support the Stauch family.

ETA- I’m sorry about the poor quality. My 11 year old was trying to take pictures as I drove by. There was a lot of traffic and I slowed to 45 in 55 MPH in the right lane.

Aww. @MirandaElle ; that's sweet. :(
Justice is coming, Gannon !!!!!

I've a notion that trial is going to be very uncomfortable for more than the killer.
As in some other 'reveals'.
Wish it could be on camera and no where for LS to 'hide'.

It gave me a happy heart in an otherwise awful case to see that he is remembered so far from his home. It has touched so many people.

And I believe you are so right about the reveals...

That’s a damn good question, and I don’t think we’ve heard from any of her teaching colleagues.

Her teaching anything, is akin to “the blind leading the blind.”

There was this account, provided by someone who worked with TS at a seafood restaurant in 2014:

COWORKERS REMEMBER STAUCH

Christy Suggs’ intuition warned her about Stauch when the two worked together at the Giant Crab Seafood Restaurant on Myrtle Beach’s Restaurant Row in the summer of 2014.

“I never really liked her,” Suggs said from her Florida home.

Suggs, Stauch, their children and others also went to Disney World together on vacation. Suggs described Stauch on the trip as “selfish” and “self-absorbed.” Stauch ignored what her daughter wanted, demanding they do the things she wanted instead.

There was also a dinner where Suggs’ teenage daughter wanted to pay for herself. Stauch demanded to pay because she had a discount and told people how much they owed, Suggs recalled. However, the total was more than they owed even without the discount.

That led to an argument that included Stauch yelling and cursing at Suggs’ daughter.

“After we had that, I was done with her,” Suggs said.

Suggs stayed Facebook friends with Stauch and when Gannon went missing in January, the stepmom posted on social media.

“I went to work and I told them, ‘This is fishy,’” Suggs said.

Stauch often talked about being a “hero” by saving her husband from a failing marriage, Suggs said. When Gannon went missing, Suggs clung to a sliver of hope that he would be found because Stauch liked being that “hero.”

But, Suggs’ intuition knew it was unlikely that Gannon was still alive. That was confirmed with Stauch’s arrest.

“I knew it was coming,” Suggs said.

Snipped by me

They did have a few stories in the local news when his remains were found. I found this one just quickly, but I believe there were a few others as well. There were also the corresponding Facebook posts from those local news agencies. I think that's one reason we have so much footage from the scene the day of, as well. It was definitely reported, they just didn't have enough details to make an eye grabbing story/headline.

Yes, I'm surprised no-one on WS's discovered this information. At the time only the Florida police had started investigating and they said they did not know if foul play was involved. They contacted El Paso LE the next day and we didn't hear anything until two days later.

If we had known, we probably would have spent three days in suspense wondering if it could be Gannon or not. It's amazing that they were able to keep it quiet for that long. We probably would have filled up an entire thread speculating and debating whether or not it could be him, especially since they did not reveal the age or that it was a child's body.

Sending love and hugs to all the mothers on WS who have lost children and any fathers as well. So sorry for all the struggles and heartaches these parents have had to endure.

I think another article I read that was published before they knew it was Gannon *did* say that the body was that of a juvenile male. I think they were able to narrow down to Gannon quickly based on visual information found (size of body, clothing, the suitcase, etc.) in a database for missing people, so they knew it was a good chance.
They may have made their "tentative" ID based on some of those factors combined with dental records and not even had a return on DNA yet.

Never saw that "juvenile male" report and would seriously doubt those details coming from a road side worker.

Within the first three days...there was discussion of a brown suitcase on SM. How many missing people are found in suitcases...that alone could have pretty well clinched it. And if LE had a clue as to the route being traveled....a done deal.

Several articles published after the identification state that officers were responding to calls about a "deceased juvenile male" - I remember reading it discussed here at length as well, wondering how a roadside worker would know to report the body in that manner.

Authorities believe they found the remains of missing Colorado boy Gannon Stauch, stepmom faces new charges

I thought there was an article before he was identified that stated the same thing, but I cannot find it now. It could be just my memory of things blurring together because no one here saw those local articles until we knew it was Gannon. Sorry if I was mistaken on that!
