I've asked this question before but I don't think anyone ever answered...
Any idea where the dogs were during the time she was supposed to be either killing Gannon or cleaning up that afternoon?
Also, where were the dogs earlier that day when she took Gannon on that 4-hour "errand run"?

I appreciate your input because you’ve lived through it with your sister. I’m sorry you had to deal with that. I’m not really blaming her family for the pathetic beast she is at this point in her life. That said, there had to be some enabling/covering going on earlier in her life. She didn’t just wake up as a murderer that day. Her earlier criminal acts and iffy employment history tell us she’s been a less than upstanding citizen for a while now. Whether they understood how harmful it would be is another story. They know now what she’s capable of and some are still defending her. IMO if she had been shut down often and earlier by those who supposedly love her, Gannon’s family would still have their beloved son. I hope she never breathes free air again.

My sister who took the brunt of our sister’s malice, and I took over the care of our mother, and we had lengthy discussions.

We both noted that most friendships my sister maintained were actually thru our brother in law/ her husband. Many of these were broken thru her actions... or maintained because people really liked him.

So I suspect the same applied w/ Letecia, once people realized how nasty she could be, they backed off as quickly as possible.

so, once again, I am not defending Letecia’s family or friends, my experiences really opened my eyes, and enabled me to see clearly...

When Letecia realized someone was “onto” her, she also could get extremely vindictive. JMHO, and that fear of retribution may have kept her family or friends under her control.

So I believe she probably was held accountable by some, but unless she broke the law, she could just leave a trail of emotional turmoil behind her...

the military moves were also an advantage, because she would be able to move on...eventually her reputation would get out, but she was the spouse, not the service member...

She WAS held responsible in several instances, ie the Alaska incident, but Al paid more for that. The lawsuit in SC failed, so to a degree that should have been a deterrent...

I think what I conclude is that there are lots of Letecias out there, most will never murder, but they will create chaos, and emotional anguish...

the best deterrent is to keep them away from the people you care about, and if you have to be around them, watch them, document them, and stay off their radar, lest they suck you into their “game”...

I am a peaceful, easy going person, the battle I waged w/ my sister took a tremendous toll on my mental sanity, as well as my physical health...
I will never allow her to engage me again,I won the game and the prize(my mother’s wellbeing, in her last years of life)

IMHO, Landon has been in a battle w/ Letecia, w/o even knowing it, she lost the last round...but the determination we saw in her, is the same as mine, when you realize the full extent of evil you are dealing w/ you

It is really hard to comprehend how someone can be that self absorbed, but how about Gannon’s family? His friends? His parents’ friends? The people like us, here on WS?
She actually IS mentally deficient, but
that shouldn’t let her get away with this...she planned it, and carried it all out in a manner that clearly showed she knew she was carrying out a horrible act and needed to cover it up...

And if she chooses that defense, then she clearly needs to be locked away for the safety of other vulnerable people...can’t have it both ways....just nope!

Since finding a neutral jury may be impossible; anyone w/ any degree of humanity, would have difficult time w/ this one...
I think that the media just needs to leave this one alone for now...hopefully they will have decades to interview her behind bars...JMHO

According to what LS told Crime Online during part 1 of her interview with them, she said that her and Gannon was the only ones home when they got back, aside from their dogs, who were outside in the back yard. Crime Online also stated during that part of the interview that they obtained a copy of the ADT report and it showed activity in the basement and the living room at the same time, at around 3pm that day.

New question: was there a fence around the back yard? From the virtual tour it seemed like it was just wide open. In the view from the glass door, I can't see any kind of fencing. The view of the bldg behind them seems unobstructed.

I think the virtual tour was not the actual home the Stauch family rented. It was the same floor plan called the Lowell and looks like it was filmed before the development was completed and the fence installed. JMO

Yes there's a huge wooden fence in the back yard. ADT offers pet-immune motion detectors, that uses heat sensors to tell the difference between animals or humans. Even if they didn't have that feature on their ADT system, I think they would have to be pretty big dogs before the ADT could pick them up, and one of them was a puppy, but I'm not sure about the other one.

As always, @Feistyomi I appreciate your experience and comments. I especially agree with your comment about Landon. It’s a shame they didn’t catch on to LS before she destroyed their family but knowing how insidious and manipulative these types are, I’m not at all surprised. She may be experienced superficially, with her lies and twisted machinations, but she’s not smart. She left a trail of evidence miles long. I’m actually surprised she’s not complaining about people calling her stupid. You know her protective family is reading everything out there and filling her in. I would think she’d really be ranting about that given her claims of being a PhD candidate. Liar.

There have been many anomalies.
A couple of hundred people vetted and ready for a full scale land search on the Sunday May 2nd, all changed and search centre moved within hours of officers viewing RD's video. It seems likely those matters were connected because of the timing. Or maybe coincidence.
Or maybe a witness came forward and stated vehicle had been spotted in Douglas County on the day he went missing.

Maybe those incidences came together..
So many holes in this jigsaw.

I have no idea where she stashed the suitcase after calling police. She called them at 6.55pm, they didn't get there until after 10pm.

I imagine she probably had been preparing for their arrival far earlier, almost immediately or soon after her 'runaway' report.
But she had 4 further hours to go over it and that kinda time is lethal for somebody with her style of thinking.

Chances are she was way wild by the time they spoke with her.

Suitcase could well have been in the house when they arrived, moved to vehicle only after their departure or early next morning. They would have had no reason to search her bedroom or closets or kitchen cupboards..

Could well be that a cadaver dog signaled in a part of house that may have served as storage for her prior to her husband's return.

Or, as you suggest, they may not have searched every vehicle at that hour of night.

We are still waiting for an update from this first article unless this has been answered in the AA. I still can not read it in it’s entirety. Too painful. I miss Gannon and I didn’t even know him. I can’t imagine how his parents and family can bear it.

Another thing that I find strange is how quickly the Major Crimes Unit became involved. I follow a lot of cases here. I wish all runaways would receive this type of attention. This seemed unusual to me at the time. It was one of the reasons I jumped on this case. And every single article seemed to mention the military connection. That connection drove the attention to the case. The friendly helpful drone guy in the beginning was the spark to generate the publicity. I’m so thankful to him.


A little after 10 p.m. Tuesday, the El Paso County Sheriff's Office showed up at Gannon's home.

Law enforcement walked up to the home and appeared to be searching in the backyard with flashlights. The garage door was opened and a car was pulled out. We are waiting for an update from the Sheriff's Office on why law enforcement was there.

I was wondering if the dogs could have been responsible for any of the motion detected downstairs. I guess that one is still in the air because there is a chance they didn't have the pet-proof ADT.
I also wondered if a neighbor wouldn't have seen and taken notice of strange goings on if TS was in and out of the back door 10 times in such a short timeframe. Maybe the fence made her feel like she had more privacy than she really did. You can still see the upper windows of that (apt?) Bldg behind them. If you can see that window, they can see you...

that picture has always puzzled me... Each of us has our own interpretation, but I believe my first impression was simply that the kids looked happy! JMO, and some saw this as indication they were posing for Al.

So I’ve stepped away for a bit, and hopefully w/ fresh perspective for awhile.

I agree, w/ the methodical, scheming behind this...she may have intended both kids to have accident...GOtG was too crowded, and maybe the man that took photo took interest in kids(Letecia?!)and made it too risky...FAIL... on to her “one step ahead”..Gannon was first victim simply because he was actually old enough to “run away”.

Based on all her activities, IMO, she needed
everyone to be clueless, so I think she
did her best to appear “normal” and Al would not have left the kids W/ her if he had any doubts...Munchausen by proxy may have been actual first attempt, and Al’s mom may have simply offered her advice, nothing dramatic or threatening.FAIL!

The biggest precipitater may have simply been Letecia’s boredom and impatience...
She probably married Al w/ these goals in mind.

When I get stuck in a crossword, sometimes I take it back several steps, removing words I was positive were correct.

If we start all over, from a different perspective, are some of our most puzzling questions answered?

As an example, We have tried to understand
how Al did not see thru the abuse, etc...what if she really played her part well? She needed to, in order for success...what if this wasn’t some explosive event that ended in Gannon’s death...

These are just my open minded attempts to counter my own tunnel vision, but it does explain a few of the remaining questions... the biggest reason to accept this scenario, is that we HAVE seen how incompetent Letecia actually is, much easier to believe she actually started bungling much earlier...

? what was that movie/dark comedy, LOVE YOU TO DEATH? was that the one? Tracy Alman(sp)w/ each failure, she simply went to the next step.

It could have gone even further back, and the only issues w/ mil visit was it postponed

Does anyone think HH is the witness that “officially went on record” ? I hope not and also think this is probably another one of LS’ lies. I'm hoping whatever hold LS had on her daughter has faded and HH is seeing how typical people behave. Well I hope HH has come to her senses & is cooperating now. If not, she’s now 18 & officially an adult in the eyes of the law. Being served with a subpoena & the thought of jail time can be quite convincing! She’s young & could have a bright future ahead of her if she does the right thing.
