Also, shows that even those incarcerated don't tolerate child killers! I am glad the inmate came forward to tell what she knew.
I’m missing something. Who came forward?

Thank you so much @oviedo! This information was tough to read. Gannon was 11, my daughters age. I just can’t fathom what would make someone do this to a child.

I always thought of him as my boy from the very first post by @imstilla.grandma - I follow many cases but this guy? It’s one of the hardest for me

Stomach “problem” was correct. See reference below.

This is coming from L but I do believe he didn’t feel well. He may have had a stomach virus, digestive issues, or was suffering symptoms of anxiety.

Investigators Believe Gannon Stauch Was Killed On Same Day He Was Reported Missing

“On the evening of Jan. 26, the affidavit states Letecia texted Al that Gannon had a stomach problem. Gannon did not attend school the following day. According to the text exchange, Letecia told Al that she would come up with an excuse to stay home with Gannon. Investigators said Letecia told her employer that she would not be at work that day because her stepfather was killed after being hit by a car.”

From what I remember the footage was very grainy and of poor quality.

It was grainy. GS did seem to be moving slowly and that could mean he wasn't feeling well. But under happier circumstances, I'm not sure we would all interpret his slow movements as indicating he was hurt. Regardless, there's a big difference between not feeling well and being at least 10 hours post-skull fracture. I just don't see how he could look the way he appeared to look on the poor quality tape and have a fractured skull from the night before.

The video we were able to see wasn't the best quality - but remember we were seeing a video of a video. The neighbor was recording it with a phone or other device from the original footage. But he was also quoted saying Gannon could barely walk. And that there was other footage from his surveillance that was turned over to the authorities that wasn't made public as well.

I’m hoping HH can shed some light on the “why” of all of this.

I think she probably needed the suitcase to wheel him out of the basement. But I can't believe that GS was inside the VW when cops peered through the windows. I think he was probably inside the suitcase at the temp dumpsite. MOO

ETA: OMG.. a suitcase seen on the bodycam.:eek:
And we will likely argue till the cows come home but we will never know if he was in the suitcase when they looked.

we can thank god the case pulled together and this huge over sight didn't affect the wheels of justice coming.

Which witness said he could barely walk? Drayton? The one with the video footage who also stated that “he (witness) knew he (Gannon) didn’t come home with L”?

True. But I didn't really mean something that made him think "whoa, maybe she didn't do it" but something that just didn't fit with the way he thought the crime occurred based on his early access to materials.

I have to admit, I didn't know that judges had quite as much advance knowledge at a prelim (or a bench trial) as it sounds like they may have.

In this case, given both the defendant caused delays and COVID delays, I'm not understanding why the Judge could not rule from the bench here. The AA was filed Feb 2020. I'm also not aware of any new evidence that would affect the 13 criminal charges filed March 20, 2020. MOO

Yes, that is the location where LE believed Gannon had been left, possibly dispersed by animals (the four legged kind) but that was before his body was found in FL. Now we know that, after that backwards interview, she drove to that location to retrieve his body, en route to FL.

I have been out on the road. I can't fathom why she chose that spot, very close to a driveway....

I think in this general area is where the sock and the bloody board were found. Along that fenceline remains a blue bow.

Gannon will not be forgotten.

But she will.

I cant believe she chose that area either! I think she was just desperate to be rid of him at that point. I wouldn't have chosen that spot to hide anything. Much less a person! Just my opinion

That audio recording was so hard to listen to. I couldn't get it out of my mind for days. It must have been unbearable for his parents, if they heard that.

Oh geeze, I forgot about that recording.

Do you all remember when they added charges after his body was found and they had the sentence enhancers? There were separate enhancers each for sharp instrument, blunt instrument, and firearm. There was so much speculation. Does that mean she used all three? Does that mean they don’t know and they’ve just added it all until they figure it out?

It’s awful. She really is so depraved that she used all three.

Ok Thanks.
LS allegedly planned to escape from EPCJ and a Jail snitch came forward. :D
Thanks. That I knew about. I thought perhaps there was something new.

I don’t think the ME could determine the order in which wounds were inflicted.

I’m sure others here will have their own theories.
