Hi everyone. I can hardly wait… it’s been too long. Way too long. She’s deliberately stalling to extend Gannon’s family’s indescribable agony. Because. She’s a revengeful b*. imo

I ran across this photo in my saves this morning but I don’t remember it at all. I found the article and I don’t remember it either. I must have ran right by it in my clumsy attempt to help. I cannot describe the spiritual lift I felt when I saw his cute smiling face, his slanted grin, standing with his arms folded, his body kinda shifted to the side like : I got this and I’m on top of the world.…I just ❤️ this kid!

LS shouldn't be allowed to decide whether or not to appear in person. She did the crime, now face the music. Surely she will be ordered to appear in person regardless in Nov willingly or not?

Gannon had no choice in whether or not he got to live another day. :(

Horribly heartbreaking, isn't it???

Wasn't there a teacher whom Gannon always asked, "am I still your boy?"

I don't recall who this lady was, but she always said, "yes, you will always be my boy!"

Lighting a candle for Gannon.

“It’s made it easier for the public to watch the criminal justice system in progress, and I think that has been a good thing,” Roberts said. “It’s also made it easier for reporters to cover the process in certain cases.”

Additionally, some victims prefer to watch proceedings from home, prosecutors said, rather than sitting feet away from the person accused of killing their loved one or traveling a long way for a short hearing.

Currently, online streaming of in-person proceedings purely for public access is unpredictable across Colorado’s courtrooms.

In September, the judge in the high-profile Letecia Stauch murder case in El Paso County allowed only pre-approved family members of victim Gannon Stauch to watch a key hearing online — everyone else had to show up in person.

One of the people in attendance at the vigil was Gannon's Babysitter Kimber Soles. Soles said there's not a day that passes that she doesn't think about Gannon and the time they spent together.

“He was also such a happy little boy. We would play Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and I’d always get them wrong and he’d be like "KK it's fine. No this is Donatello. This is such and such" and I'd be like "buddy I’m sorry." He’d be like "it’s okay KK, I still love you," Soles said.

“When he would come to church I would hear a small little voice go KK. He’d come over and give me my hug and id be like you’re always going to be KK’s boy right and he was like yeah KK I’ll always be your boy," Soles said. "I miss those small, still moments but I know I’ll get them again one day."

Such a cutie. Thanks for the photo. Such a shame that the monster came into his life and took it away. Like other kids he had such potential.

He reminds me of my little grandson but he just didn’t have a chance. He is always on my mind.

I know what is stated above was quoted from the linked source and is not the opinion of a WS member but it is not correct, I don't believe. The judge's order asked both the prosecution and the defense to provide names of family members. So it wasn't just GS's family. You'd think someone writing about crime for the Denver Post would know a trial judge has to be even-handed.

As much as we are anti this monster, she has rights too for her family to attend if they so wish.

Agree. I also don't think we can discount that "her family" is also the victim's step-family. Glad the court recognized this. (For example, it would be awful if I wanted my sister to answer for the crimes she's alleged of committing but also want to be present for my step-nephew and left off the attendee viewing list). MOO

Nicely put. JMO We have no idea what her family are going through over this heinous act but they would no doubt appreciate the chance to be there in court.

Sorry, I'm been involved with other cases lately. Could someone tell me when the trial begins?

Found Deceased - CO - Gannon Stauch, 11, Colorado Springs, El Paso County, 27 Jan 2020 *Arrest* #51

9/9/21 Update: The judge will come back on Sept. 23 at 9am to make a ruling at the status conference hearing. Also escape attempt charges on 9/23/21.
9/23/21 Update: Stauch appeared again on video from jail, chose not to appear in person. Judge Werner said he is going to go over the summary of law & recap what evidence was presented in the preliminary hearing since Stauch was not present. Judge Werner said the court has found that there is enough proof presumption great to bind this case to trial. Stauch is being asked to be in court on November 4 at 1:30pm to enter a plea. He's telling her she HAS to be physically present in the courtroom for the arraignment hearing, she cannot appear over WebEx. Stauch will be held without bond until trial.

Court dockets show Letecia Stauch's plea hearing is scheduled for 1:30 on November 4, but there is always the chance it could be continued. On September 23, Judge Gregory Werner ruled the evidence presented by prosecutors during the preliminary hearing was sufficient to take the case to trial.

The District Attorney for the 4th Judicial District and Lead Prosecutor on the case, Michael Allen, anticipates Letecia will enter a not guilty plea at her arraignment on Thursday. If that happens, they will have six months from the arraignment for a trial to begin.

Stauch waived her right to be present during her preliminary hearing, but the judge ordered she must physically appear for her plea hearing.

During testimony at the preliminary hearing, the results of Gannon's autopsy were disclosed. According to the report, Gannon's cause of death was listed as a gunshot wound and blunt-force trauma to the head. Contributory conditions were sharp-force injuries, and his manner of death was marked as a homicide.

Dr. Susan Ignacio, a forensic pathologist in Florida, performed the autopsy. She noted one gunshot wound, one skull fracture, and eighteen sharp-force wounds, including those on the arms and hands which were thought to be defensive wounds.
