While I like to keep all options and scenarios open, evidence (SAR, LE and Forensic activity) is mounting that SM is involved to some level in Gannon going missing. I am curious about SMs behavior. It almost presents like an odd and mutated version of "munchausen by proxy" in that she seems to get something out of the attention for Gannon (injuries, illnesses, etc), possibly because it's a military family where the military member may be frequently gone for extended periods of time, having to deal with issues large and small alone, etc. This behavior might invoke pity from BD feeding some emotional, separation anxiety need. Initially the breaking news of the search for a Gannon could have been like a shot of adrenaline, but then when public outrage mounted, turned into something unanticipated invoking the anger. Just tossing this out for discussion. Would like to hear from the medical experts here if this is possible.
