Found Deceased CO - Gannon Stauch, 11, Colorado Springs, Lorson Ranch, El Paso County, 27 Jan 2020 *endangered* #17

We do not have video beyond the one from RD's collection. I suspect there are more videos and we have no clue as to what is shown and what isn't.

My opinions are just as valid as anyone else's. Period.

I am not putting your opinion down. I really am open to hearing more.

There is landscaping rock in front of the gate. If there were blood in the area, no way she could have cleaned it all up unless she removed all the rock. The house next door also appears to have a video camera on the eve which likely captures that gate area.

I can't tell if that's a patio stone under the downspout, or if it's displaced landscaping gravel and we're seeing a patch of dirt, on the google street view. Here's the gate again (slightly different angle than before). Technically, I suppose Gannon wouldn't even have to step onto the gravel to "check the gate" since the latch is almost flush with the side of the garage there. But it would make more sense, and likely a more natural action, to step off the driveway and step onto the patio stone/gravel to reach the gate latch.

I totally agree and that is what makes me think SM is involved.......

I watched a video on youtube by GHI (I don't think it can be linked here, but you could find it easily). He dissects the video and hones in on the shadow. I could not see this when I just watched the video without enhancement and I have no way to enhance the video.

MOO can see it on a computer, phone not so good. Either way she is still last person to see him.

If you mean Gray Hughes, his videos are allowed here, and that shadow edition has been posted numerous times. One part of it that is really interesting is that after he points out which is the thin shadow of the red truck, watch that shadow increase in width each time she pulls out and backs in.

I’m just thinking it could be Monday, but Monday am as in middle of night. Gannon could have gotten hurt Sunday night and when little sister is sleeping LS is seen getting in truck with Gannon. I believe I read that the interview where LS had her daughter, Harley, in it she somewhat coached Harley to say she saw Gannon at breakfast Monday morning. I know I do remember Harley saying she didn’t see him Monday morning at first. I have to rewatch video or search article I found that in. I just don’t see LS having the time to do anything Monday in time frame of getting girls off to school and being back in time and being seen on camera in between more than once. Who knows tho? I do not for a second think the neighbor is messing with the case and apologize if my earlier post wondering about lightening up a video came across that way. I fully believe he’s doing what he’s asked by LE.

I do feel for Harley as well. If what a lot of us think is true, she not only lost her father years ago to a car crash, but she’ll lose her mom.
More than anything I want that precious boy to be found so his family can be overjoyed or begin their road to healing. And I want whoever did this to pay for all the heartache they’ve caused. It’s so far reaching...Imagine how Gannon’s classmates feel seeing his empty desk every day. That’s a tender age and I’m sure causing them emotional trauma. Ugh. Beyond sad for so many people!!!

I haven't seen anything anywhere which says that Stepmom coached big sis to say she saw Gannon on Monday morning.
Do you have proof that Stepmom had to get the 17 year old off to school? Does she go to school?
I do think that it's possible that the night time videos may reveal something interesting.

I see what you are saying about video enhancement / lighting. I believe RD stated timing in his interview though. Around 10 am

IMO Surveillance videos all run with a timeline attached, motion events are logged.

Is it known that the older sister is currently in high school? (not a trick question, I just see lots of people saying this). I know her mother referred to her being at work on Sunday, and "in the AF".

I don't think anything is definitive there. When I was 17, I did a post secondary program at my local community college. I thought it was cool to tell people I went to college even though I was still in high school just doing college courses. Her situation may be similar - it seems like Colorado Springs has post secondary options. But I honestly have no idea about her..

MOO there is enough concern about the shadows and the apparent door top to make the public version less than 100% certain he did not return. Police may have a clearer video or not. They are working hard to piece it together.

I have the video saved to my machine. I've watched it over and over a gazillion times.

There are artifacts in that video, they are anomalies that come and go, appearing as shadows.....distortions in the vid.

But the shadow at the right rear tire is, IMO, not a distortion. I personally cannot attest to what it is, I doubt a person exiting, but it surely is possible.

And I too have seen the movement at the rear top of the truck cab. It is brief, but there.

Honestly, from the released vid, I couldn't positively identify TS, GS, or anyone else in terms of just watching the vid. I must take online accounts of who it is as being true.

BG in the A&L case is more clear to me than either of the two getting in this truck that day

Just curious myself. I have been assuming that she went to work on Monday so therefore was out of any mid afternoon equation re being home when Gannon "disappeared". And that only little sis could have been home and not have seen him, or have seen him. But I don't know where I got the idea she was at work on Monday, either, which is why I asked.

My point about automatic door steps was that their movement when driver opened the door could be responsible for the shadow and the shadow movement. I am not familiar with automatic door steps. Any toughts?

No comment on shadows, but AS doesn't strike me as the type that would want to have automatic doorsteps (assume they have to be after market). MOO

Now I have to go watch the video again and see for myself!
I think even if he did come back with her, he was not seen on video again. Not at the time she said he left, not by any neighbors , any ring cameras, nothing. That's probably why RD was looking through all his video again, to see when the last time Gannon was seen.
It's probably why she in her own words was questioned harshly by detectives. He's not on video at the time she said he left.

We have yet to see all video available to LE.

If lock is on the outside of the gate, maybe her story is that he must have pre-unlocked the gate?

ITA. That shadow bothers me as well. It is the one thing that does not fit.

When I had a dog and would return home from shopping the dog would always run up to the front of the car then run back to the house door wagging his tail like he was saying hurry up let's go in. I'm thinking that shadow just might be one of those dogs doing the same thing my dear Fozzie did. JMO

Where is the lock mechanism? if it is on the inside, does that mean it is only able to be unlocked from the inside? That doesn't make sense because a person would have to go all the way through the house and out the sliding doors in the kitchen across the backyard and up along side the house to unlock it. Maybe I am over thinking this.

Well stepmom did bring the daughter into the interview regarding Sunday after the hike, about the daughter seeing Gannon on Sunday after the hike, but I don't agree that she was coached, mainly because daughter was way over at the car and not following the interview. She said "what do you want me to say", which I think was understandable as she had no idea, IMO, why her Mom was signalling her to come over. But that's just me.

But if he was seen on video walking away from his home and down the street where other cameras could have captured him , going to his friends, don't you think LE would have released this? In most other cases I have followed, that is the case. Last known clothing, movements are almost always released, and that's not done in this case and I have to wonder why. IMO, it doesn't exist.
