You are absolutely spot on! During the SM's rant, I immediately pictured her giving Gannon's dad the "it's me or her" speech....only, she didn't expect him to pick Gannon's mom!

I hope that Gannon's parents are getting the support they need from each other now, with minimal interference from the stepmonster. They are dealing with more than enough already, without her nonsense.
I very much doubt she is allowing them the time and space they need.
Her type don't let off easily.
I'll stop there 'cos am about to start swearing like a fishwife.

Reason: Duplicate Post.

Although, inexplicably, my original post has now disappeared.

So the post that was here is no longer a duplicate.

It was a really good one, too. I actually paid @MassGuy a compliment.

I can't be bothered to repeat it, though. Too much work.

Such a shame. Oh, well. Que sera, sera.

My guess on why LE is moving their HQ (or whatever they're calling it) is because they are about done searching in the immediate area of his home, so there is really no need for them to be there. Gannon could literally be anywhere, and LE did their due diligence by searching the areas around his home. At this point, I think they will need a tip, or clue, or confession, or some info to have a reason to search a specific area.

I do hope they checked for empty/vacant houses in the neighborhood. Chimneys. SM still doesn’t in any points with me after her narcissistic interview where everyone owed her an apology and btw, Gannon who? IMO

The daughter's statement was coached. I feel bad for all the kids involved. I too would like to know about the hiking. Remember behind most lies is the truth. I think she hid him in the woods. jmo

I read in one of the posts (I apologize, because don’t know the post #) that they were hiking in Garden of the Gods park. If that’s true, she didn’t hide him there. It’s a hugely popular park, but also not a very big park. There aren’t any woods there; except for the rock formations it’s all scrub oak with a few scattered junipers and cottonwoods. It’s NOT a good place to try to stash a body because there’s always someone hiking every inch of the terrain.

I'm pretty sure it was the step mother who made the 911 call.

During the Press Conference the lieutenant stated that at approximately 6:55, they recieved a call for a runaway child. He then went on to say that Gannon was entered into a state database as a runaway, and then they conducted an interview with the reporting person who said he was last seen between 3:00 and 4:00 pm.

They then searched the property and didn't find anything.

So I'm not sure how it could have been anyone else but the stepmother.

I would really like to know what led her to be so sure he was a runaway from the start, as opposed to being missing, not home yet, etc.

I'm thinking she mentioned the supposed search on his phone.

Imo
I think there may have been 2 calls. JMO

Okay we'll have another coffee and a smoke and re-ponder.
Shuffle the deck again.
I understand now, I think that he could have been rage-attacked.
I watched her interview , which I'm trying so hard to forget, twice and I absorbed it.
I'm shuddering still about 3 or 4 days later.
My hackles rise when I see a reference to her, my instinct is to shy away, like one would do from a venomous snake in realtime.
It only happened to me once before.
That was when I watched the killer of YingYingzhang being interviewed by the fBI for the first time and that was after working on the case here for 2 full years.
I work with violence, I study violence. I'm not afraid of it.
It's just that sometimes one finds oneself in an encounter with another individual or a situation when one just knows that one's critical faculties are less than useless in any dealing one will have with this entity.
And trying is hopeless, because nothing can ever be gained.
It's just - a vacuum.
I only got about 30 minutes of words, if that but for those subjected to it for any lengthy period-I'd feel alarm.
But none of that nonsense will help us find him.
She's a hard one to read.
I don't know how resourceful she is.
I imagine she is bright but reckless, dangerously jealous by nature and has a deep anger in her.
Where would somebody like that, if it is even remotely accurate, go to hide him if she had hurt him?
She had vehicles at her disposal.
what thought process would she have employed to hide ?
She conducted that interview with defensive lashes of her tongue, pre-planned words and phrases, was her turn to be getting some attention here and she wasn't wasting it, no way, no how.
She saw it as a contest that she had intended winning with her glittery 'death threats' and BK..
They were her aces, her headlines... the words that would make it to all the media sources... make her a star. She reckoned she would pull it off too.
If she was in that state and Gannon got 'hurt' how was she likely to act?

Idle musing..... If you sank a weighted body in the nearby Arkansas River, after it maybe came back up, it still could go a long ways, in that fast current, or hang up in the underwater rocks and sunk trees .....moo

where would the access points be and would they be easily reachable by people of a certain size and build? In the musing, I mean?

Rampant speculation to follow:

The 911 call seemed to happen pretty fast. Would most people call 911 if their 11yr old was an hour late? I would think that most people would assume that he was in a friend's basement, playing video games, and lost track of time. Especially when they didn't bother to find out which friend he was going to meet. In hindsight, you could say that the police should have rushed right over with sirens blaring. But I wonder if maybe the police didn't view this as a big emergency initially?

I guess there is now a question about who made the 911 call. The SM or a neighbor. It seems a little strange if it was the neighbor. Why would they call 911? It wasn't their child. I think someone speculated that the father asked the neighbor to call 911. Why would he ask the neighbor, and not his wife? Did he ask her, and she refused? Did he suspect that she had done something to Gannon immediately? Had the dad requested a divorce, and he thought she was capable of hurting Gannon to hurt the dad?

MOO

I don't know. It is a big, long, deep river that runs for many long miles through Colorado and down into Central Arkansas . It also has big catfish......moo

To me, the most damning moment in this entirely damnable interview comes at the very end, when she must have realized she needed to make at least some show of concern, and delivered a tearful-sounding message to GS.

Problem being, she delivered this tearful, heartfelt message to GS with her back to him the entire time.

If you actually believe a child is alive and might possibly hear you speaking to him, you know what you do?

You turn around, you face the camera, you stare directly into it, and you tell that child you love him, and you're not going to stop looking for him, and you want him to come home.
That's what you do.

That's what his mommy did.

Not this one, though.

The fact that SM couldn't turn around and face the camera as she ostensibly spoke directly to GS, instantly told me everything I didn't want to know:

She literally can't face him.

This chick is her own worst enemy.

I just hope and pray that she wasn't GS's.

JMO.
And another you don't do is tell everyone that his own mother didn't want him!

Anybody know where the drone footage is somebody posted? Appreciate it.
Put this in YouTube search bar:

The first couple are in a different folder. I’ve posted vid 1-8 in the threads.

Or: John Bradley Wilson
I’ll try to consolidate them all in the media thread in the morning

As others have said, I wish we knew more about the whereabouts of the other two kids on Monday. I might expect the 17 year old to be able to pull off a lie about seeing Gannon first thing Monday morning, but I don’t see a 9 year old pulling it off. Nor would I trust my life to a 9 year old sticking to the story and not blabbing or breaking down under scrutiny. We call my oldest “The Gazette” because he would happily spill every sordid detail to the first person who seemed interested.
