Lol. "The gazette."

Is the youngest daughter 9? I thought she looked a lot younger in the picture. Plus, SM and BD have been married for 5 years, but i also thought that BD was also the BD of the youngest daughter. I wonder when Gannon's parents got divorced? I guess maybe this could explain the bad blood between the mothers.

MOO

Youngest daughter is As and LH child too,TS has one daughter, the 17yr old.
Other places on the internet can explain the bad blood for you;)

Good point. Now I’m not sure. I may be confusing his younger sister with 9 year old Chloe Peterson who was interviewed for a news segment about the neighborhood search. I will go back through this thread and the original one to see if I can confirm. Thanks.

Looking back at the previous thread, I see age speculation ranging from pre-k to 8. No 9, so I retract my statement regarding her age.

So you're saying the little sister is not SM's child?

Sorry, I don't know all of the initials. Are you saying that Gannon and his sister have the same biological parents? For some reason I assumed that she was either a half-sister, or even a step-sister.

Yes I am,she is the full sister of Gannon, child of Al and Landen.
I will add IMO because i dont have a link.

They do get confusing!,but yes Gannon and his sister have the same parents IMO

Well if that's the case, maybe little sister said something to the dad that caused him to be suspicious of SM. Maybe that's why she's no longer in the house.

The number of tips has steadily grown, with the sheriff's office announcing Sunday it was sifting through 134 to see if they could be of assistance.

FBI Child Abduction Rapid Deployment (CARD), Pikes Peak Regional Office of Emergency Management, El Paso County Search and Rescue, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, Colorado Springs Police Department, Fountain Police Department and the Salvation Army have all been involved in the search.

From the SM interview what appears to be a bandage on her left palm. You can see the corner of the bandage (at the edge of her sweatshirt) is peeled back a little.

Rampant speculation to follow:

The 911 call seemed to happen pretty fast. Would most people call 911 if their 11yr old was an hour late? I would think that most people would assume that he was in a friend's basement, playing video games, and lost track of time. Especially when they didn't bother to find out which friend he was going to meet. In hindsight, you could say that the police should have rushed right over with sirens blaring. But I wonder if maybe the police didn't view this as a big emergency initially?

I guess there is now a question about who made the 911 call. The SM or a neighbor. It seems a little strange if it was the neighbor. Why would they call 911? It wasn't their child. I think someone speculated that the father asked the neighbor to call 911. Why would he ask the neighbor, and not his wife? Did he ask her, and she refused? Did he suspect that she had done something to Gannon immediately? Had the dad requested a divorce, and he thought she was capable of hurting Gannon to hurt the dad?

Not sm, it was a man. Per most recent presser, yesterday IIRC

General statement:

Why, case after case, do perpetrators think they'll be overlooked? Family'll come home, perpetrator will shrug, people will search for day, and then subway, Sonic or Burger King, and everyone will just carry on, better than before?

Often seems like, be it cases of long drawn out premeditation or crimes of passion/opportunity, the perpetrator prepares a single layer explanation. "He left." "She was with a friend." "She ran off." Without any of the details we'd expect...

Something is off here.

Do you know where X is?
No, I was at the zoo yesterday though.

I say we run that past the sniff test.

If something happened to Gannon in his home on Sunday evening or Monday during the day, it would be extremely difficult to have it happen along with disposal of his body without one or both of the girls to know. Even if they weren't there for the actual act, they would ask where is Gannon when they returned from school.
I wonder if they have been in school since this all started.

Motive.

I need to keep an open mind.

Some people interview badly. It's just that not everybody who interviews badly gets his or her car impounded by LE.

But still, she could've turned her back (hello, interview) for one second and he could've been plucked off the idyllic streets of Anytown, Colorado. Abductions happen. Abductions leave people shell-shocked. SB in the case of missing mom HB. The spectre of blame, if you're innocent and dazed, must be awful in cases like that.... when your brain is numb and won't let you put two sentences together.

But it's also true, short of premeditated murder, that things happen. Accidents, temper, fear, it's what happens next that is most telling. And it looks to me, in every case I've followed recently, the next step is SELF-PRESERVATION, over all other concerns. "I can't get caught." Hide the evidence, divert, distract, create drama here in the hopes no one will look there.

If just one, there are too many cases of missing and murder children, wherein a caretaker does it, deluded into thinking the other person (boyfriend, girlfriend, husband, wife) will turn to them in their grief, bring them closer.... a sick twist on an old fairytale.

It takes a special (cold, wicked, shallow) kind of person to see a child merely as a means to an end. Susan Smith.

I hope that's not what we're looking at here.

Gannon reportedly left before his younger sister got home from school. And the older sis was at work.

If no one deliberately/accidentally hurt GS and he took no money, no phone, no supplies (meaning he couldn’t buy a bus ticket) I wonder if he tried to hitchhike to his mother. How far is it to a highway?

Assuming the girls slept nights, they would have been asleep if anything happened Sunday night. They went school and work on Monday so they would not have been there, assuming that was their regular schedule. So the house was asleep or empty o girls for quite a while... there was plenty of time unobserved by girls
