For sure. I just meant the media is not promoting him as a runaway anymore or discussing the phone history. So to me that means they don't buy that he wrote it. If they did, I feel it would have stayed front and center and the case would have felt more like a runaway investigation, even if his listing was changed to endangered.
Today a search is happening.
Are the searchers looking for a child hiding or are they searching for a body?
I got the impression from their latest bulletin yesterday where they asked people with lands to search farm buildings or anywhere a child might be hiding... I don't think they have evidence he is dead?
If they're searching for a body they will use cadaver dogs.
If they are searching for a living person they will use scent dogs, water dogs, all kinds of dogs with amazing but very different skills...
I think if they're including the possibility of a hiding child in their briefing, we're looking mainly for a search of a runaway.
That might be within walking distance of his home, assuming he left walking.
If foul play took place or was suspected it's likely the search would take place further afield.

She broke her contract without following procedure for a military move. I think it was in North Carolina. You can look up the legal papers by googling Letecia's name
Oh, ok. I don't know anything about the military so that's probably why I was confused.

Although I'm still not sure what the procedures for the military or breaking your contract has to do with giving up your license. People leave their districts for all kinds of reasons and I've never heard of giving up your teachers license because of it. It's usually valid indefinitely as long as you keep up with PD standards.

I'll just your word for it since I don't really want to look it up. It's probably not relevant anyway.

Did anyone read through the contract dispute in full for LS? It explains some of the perceived resentment in her interview with LH. I’m wondering if maybe Gannon picked up on this (as kids do) and if it made home life strained enough that he would want to run away. JMO
Kids are experts at playing one parent against another, and even moreso if they have a step parent when the original is still alive and in the picture.

I have been wondering if Gannon was chastized for something by the SM, thought something along the lines of "You're not MY MOMMY", and then called BD. Did he have contact numbers for BM? I guess the police know by now who he called, if anyone. I can just see an 11 year old stomping out of the house to go find his Dad, maybe hitch hiking with a teary face, and then being exploited by the one person he fatefully accepted a ride from. Why does this sound so logical to me? Because I used this over and over with my own broken family. Calling Dad to avoid step mother discipline. Driving a wedge between them to save myself. As did my step brothers from the opposite POV. One of them repeatedly running away at about 12, being brought back by friendly police.

Very, very true.

Did LE confirm that such a search was actually found on his phone?
Has it even been verified by msm that a found google search exists?

"I love him and I miss him, and that I want him to come home and be safe."

That's nine-year-old Chloe Peterson's message to her neighbor, Gannon Stauch. Peterson said, "He's an awesome little kid and he's handsome, and he is my best friend."

Cambra Peterson said, "Gannon is a good friend of ours...he's out playing basketball in my front yard on a daily basis."
Search for Gannon Stauch continues Saturday

Well, she wasn't complaining about skivvies, she was complaining about her USAF member daughter being put in handcuffs in the middle of a department store. I don't know if that happened, either, but wow, if it did, what an insult to the daughter and mother. Unless there was some big melee we don't know about.
I'm sorry, but why does it matter that her daughter is a USAF member? I keep seeing it getting mentioned over and over again, and I can't seem to understand why that matters in the context of a missing child? Can't she be put in handcuffs because she's a USAF member? That's weird. I'm assuming they didn't simply put her in handcuffs just for fun, something went down. This is a missing child's case, they are doing their job.

So... if GS did the search that was on his phone, he would have learned that you can't trace a phone if it's off.

And yet, he didn't take his phone with him.

Why do the search at all, then?

Also, that doesn't sound like a search an 11-year-old would even do, both the wording and the search itself. My kids are a bit older, but when I suggest they search for info on Google, etc they look at me like I have multiple heads. They don't use search engines. Maybe they're unusual though.
I don't think it's unusual. My daughter reacts the same exact way when I suggest she search for something.
It's not like using snapchat or playing games. It's too much work. They have to figure out how to word the search and then they have all kinds of options to choose from. Then they have to pick an option and actually take the time to read it. If they don't find the answer they have to pick another option and read that for the information.

I would think an eleven year old would write something more like, "can someone find you if you have your phone," or something like that.

How often does a couple separate this early in a missing child's case, when the child was in the care of the step-parent? This was very quick. Usually, the couple stays together until it finally comes out what really happened to the missing child. I honestly don't understand why the stepmother seems to be so mad about Gannon's mother staying in the home. What was she supposed to do? Go to a hotel? Jesus Christ, no matter how much you dislike someone, can't she have a bit more empathy torwards a fellow woman that has a missing child? I sense there's a lot of issues between the mother and the stepmother. I wouldn't be surprised if the mom was not allowed to participate in birthday parties and other events for the children, and I have been suspecting that from the mom she said something along the lines "mom and dad are, like you always wanted" in that press conference. Mom "not wanting" to take care of Gannon might be more a case of mom not being ALLOWED to. I don't know the whole story, but this is what it looks like. To me, I see Gannon's parents DESPERATE to bring him back home, and a stepmother worried about herself, about what people say and think about her, etc, above anything else.

What if something happened like he fell after that picture was taken. SM wouldn't have done anything to him per se but maybe something happened on her watch. MOO

Missing boy's stepmother slams El Paso County Sheriff's Office, claims rights violated

SABBM:

Deb Mynatt, a spokeswoman for the agency, said she could not comment on Letecia Stauch's claims, citing an ongoing investigation. Mynatt could not comment if Letecia Stauch currently had a lawyer, either. Instead, she said, the agency is trying to keep the focus on finding Gannon, not on Letecia Stauch's statements to KKTV.
___________

Oh! Bravo, Ms. Mynatt!

Love this pointed response to SM's self-obsessed histrionics.

SM is sucking all the oxygen out of the room.

Nobody cares about her crummy rights OR her kid's cruddy underwear.

The only person who matters right now is GS.

The only thing that matters right now is locating him.

WHERE IS GANNON?

JMO.

If it was then I would think it would have come from LE.
They don't usually reveal that kind of information so that's why I wondered if it were even true.

I would like to know the source for the information.

They did say the only credible information will come from them.

Because it could affect her whole military career, which is just starting out. To get into the academy she would have had extensive background checks (I have 2 18 year old female relatives going into the AF academy there, and one relative who flies planes all over, internationally, for AF), and her mother said she had never done anything wrong or broken any rules. It's hard enough for females to compete in the armed services at the academy level which is the main conduit for becoming an officer. So I think she was mortified, embarrassed, and I doubt, IMO, that a young person in her position as a beginning cadet would have caused a melee to the point of being handcuffed over who had the keys to the car. So, if you were referring to me, that's why I always refer to the USAF, it's hard to get in, and it's hard to stay in, and even rougher for women who have to deal with all the sexual assaults and discrimination. (Throughout the military)

I reckon that marriage was on the rocks for quite some time.
Nobody could listen to that nonsense day after day after day ad infinitum.
A small child with a significant medical history would have been no match for a woman like that, physically, psychically mentally emotionally or spiritually.
For me that was the saddest take-away from the interview she volunteered.

I have continually searched for confirmation since day one. It’s not out there. The closest thing ever said was that a major crime team was called in because they had the tech ability to retrieve specialized info on phones or something like that. I’m paraphrasing right now. A poster asked about a google search verification and I posted the only msm source which I described above. That’s it. Seriously. It’s in thread one early pages somewhere. I purposely haven’t gone there in discussion. Because...

Agree. Here’s a couple: Where do you think the most central focus of mapping is? WS loves locals that are willing to speak about their community area specific to Gannon’s possible paths. As if he was running away as fast as he could. Shortcuts?
Garden of the Gods Loop Trail
Rocks and Vistas Garden of the Gods Trail
Sorry...I didn't intend to convey that I am local with my post...because I am not.

Just trying to help from Canada.

Trying to familiarize myself with immediate area for now. It appears there is a donut shop a 5 minute walk from his house. I think if he stuck to any main street nearby, CCTV would have caught him. Closest library is a 7 minute drive.

His back yard fence looks too high to climb to sneak through neighbours backyards.

Where did this little guy go?

JMO

Edited to correct misinformation...its not a donut shop.
Its a place that makes coffee that I saw on the map. Makin Smiles Coffee....

Didn’t they include that on the first missing poster? I could swear it was there because I thought it was so odd. I need to go back and look.....I may be losing it!
