Wow. :eek::(o_O
True Crime Society
I didn't read everything there but just a quick skim I've already seen several things that LE have already completely discounted and/or made statements to the exact contrary. So, I guess folks can either follow the rumors, or follow LE. I know where I'll be reading.

I'd be alarmed if I thought he'd run away, and didn't have his phone. For sure I'd check his last calls/text. Not sure checking his search history would be anywhere near the top of my thoughts.

JMO

Exactly..... I'm pretty sure that wouldn't have occurred to me, in that situation, either.

I have read that GS didn’t take money or his phone or his coat but what about a bike or skateboard if he planned to head to a main road and hitchhike?
Apparently he did not take anything with him. All he had were the clothes on his back.

At least that's how it has been described in the missing persons poster.

If he had taken anything else on sure LE would have indicated that. It's probably one of the first questions they asked.

What 11 year old would run away and take absolutely nothing? In the freezing cold?

It's still a mystery to me why SM immediately assumed he ran away, without saying what made her think that.

When you tell the truth, you don't have to try to make sense.

I have a very bad feeling.

Gannon reportedly left before his younger sister got home from school. And the older sis was at work.

That is what bothers me a lot. He left to go to a friend's house yet kids were not home from school yet. It doesn't make sense.

The only 2 reasons I can think of to run away/outside with nothing at all: 1) it’s an emergency and nothing matters (a fire in the house for instance) or 2) there’s someone waiting for him in a warm car at the curb and he’d only be outside for a second. I don’t think either is likely.

He has uploaded eight #gannonstauchsearch videos so far. Here is the most recent one:

The drone guys are awesome for doing that. It is scary though. Because I can see so many pockets where a body could be and not easily seen from above or below.

But a lack of tire tracks is a good thing I think.

If he was transported by car then his body has to be where a car can or could have reached. (So tire tracks if it’s an unpaved area).

I did hear it was an iphone. I agree his language would have been more tech savvy. Will you ask your ids what they reckon they would do in a similar situation? What skills do 11 yr olds have? Do they have survival skills, for example? Would they be able to survive outside alone if they found a way to keep sheltered from the elements?
I will ask them when they come home from school. First I cannot imagine that they would run off without their phone. They also likely would call me from outside the house telling me three times that they are going to run away.... making sure that I know how they feel and that I had hurt their feelings. Then they would call a friend and ask if they could stay with them (11 year old twins, that would only run away together, I am sure).

Searchers look again for missing 11-year-old Colorado boy

SABBM:
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Authorities searched again Sunday for an 11-year-old Colorado boy who has now been missing for a week.
Members of the FBI and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children were among over 50 people who searched for Gannon Stauch in his Colorado Springs neighborhood on Sunday, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office said. In the afternoon, the search’s command post was moved to near the county jail because of unspecified information gathered during its investigation, the sheriff’s office said.

Yeah I just can't see him running away unless there were problems at home or there was an event that led up to it.

I wish we knew if he regularly kept his phone with him.

My daughter didn't have a phone until she was 13, although it was not an android it was just a regular phone, and it was mainly so I could keep in touch with her.

If she was running late or didn't text me back she knew she'd be in trouble.

Since the rule in their house was that he had to be home by dark I'm not sure why the stepmother didn't tell him to take his phone. Kids that age are not so good at watching the time and I would think having the phone with him would have made it much easier than calling all his friends to find out where he was.

I also wonder when the last activity on the phone was, and when the alleged search was made.

I guess it all depends on what really happened to him and when.

My 11-year olds certainly would not. They would first pack a backpack and the first thing that would go in there would be their phones! But, they would not go very far either, maybe in the basement or the garage. Sit in the car in the garage for awhile.... and call me to tell me that they are mad. At 11 they have a pretty good understanding that running away is dangerous.

We REALLY need a sarcasm font :) You had me scratching my head there for a moment
Seriously, I believe her. I believe she believes what she is saying. I believe she’s being truthful. She is deceptive by omission. The interviewer did a good job leading the conversation with open ended questions allowing her to freely express her words.

Will Gannon come home alive and safe? I don’t know.
Will she receive apologies? I think so.

I speak spanish nearly illiterately given the long time I've been exposed to it, emerged in the culture, and the numerous classes I've taken, humiliating actually. Considering that writing it coherently is so much easier. So I can 100% understand her involuntarily switching tenses, especially when speaking defensively under pressure. (Should add that I don't know that she speaks spanish at all, just an educated guess)
If she is from the Carolinas it could be native american accent?

I suspect one or the other, or both, will happen real soon. By now, I'm sure the police have handed off step-mom's phone to the tech forensic folks to let them work their magic, and I'm also sure they've already pulled her phone records. She'll either be cleared or arrested and I think that will happen very soon.

IMO I may have came across a profile of hers that stated she was Native American.

JMO but I bet they're crazy busy behind the scenes. If they have a credible tip of ANY kind, they can start looking at CCTV. They can re-interview people. I'd like the CW interrogators to have a crack at this one...

I can't say who but all they need is for the one person who knows more than they're saying, to say it.

I really hope so. Or even an update from LEO. Something
