volunteers are being called in for tomorrow to search a new area for Gannon!

<------Standing and cheering while saying a prayer for finding Gannon!

I would assume that this is a search for our sweet Gannon & not evidence or else they would be using LE personnel that specialize in evidence collection, right?

Assuming it's because they need to allow people to get off work, make arrangements, etc. But there's a lot of daylight left today, why wait?

PLEASE let Gannon be found!!

Edit to add: they're asking for the search to be confidential and asking for credentials for those searching, please let that be a sign that they know something specific that will lead them to Gannon!

Normally the cones are small red cones to mark "evidence here." Not the large street cones like the one that was carried out. I didn't ever see it carried in????

It was carried in yesterday per reporters on the scene and links to photos provided here yesterday while the search was ongoing. There was discussion on WS and lots of people said it was for marking. Maybe that's not true ? But it was carried in as well as the other items mentioned in today's press report linked at the beginning of this thread.

SO happy to see CONG stepping in. Hopefully they won’t stop until they bring Gannon home.

This does not appear to be an official search by LE (unless I'm mistaken). It's also not official military business. IMO, they are being careful that you can't be on duty or in uniform. This sounds like an organized search put on by those in Gannon's dads unit. They probably feel helpless and want to put boots on the ground and search on behalf of their comrade. IMO.

I wonder why they carried an orange cone out. Who in the world owns an orange cone?
SHHHHHH!!!
@kittythehare by her own admission, last thread...but keep that on the lowdown, among the 300 or so currently online.

I used to take 83 purely for the scenic drive and total lack of traffic when going between Parker, CO and Co. Springs.

I wondered often in the beginning if it ever came into play, but they have been so heavily focused on 105 and 25 that I haven’t thought of it in weeks.

I hope these guys bring him home.

Forgive me for being completely clueless and I did attempt a google search but what does CONG stand for?

Aha, we might not be talking about the same roll. I'm referring to the fox21 video where they refer to it, at about the 1:10 to 1:20 point, it's clearly a single layer kraft paper roll. Search for Gannon: Crime lab returns to Stauch home on day 30

That's not the clip I saw, but it looks like the same thing.
The rolls of butcher paper look a lot like the rolls of paper bags but they tend to be shorter. It could feasibly be paper, but they've been bringing out evidence in the large bags too. It doesnt matter. I was just trying to share a little of my own knowledge.

What matters is that it looks like they arent just trying to solve something, but that they're building a case too.

Those aren't always one and the same, unfortunately.

It says to check in at the El Paso County Mobile Command Vehicle, so I do think it’s an official search by law enforcement.

It looks to me that they have requested military assistance to supplement their efforts.

I have a friend in Monument and we have driven 83 so many times. It is such a nice drive compared to I-25. Side note: I've always been kind of concerned about Castlewood Canyon State Park just off of 83 but I think it's probably too far North to fit into the narrow timeframe.

Lots of acronyms for CONG
This one probably fits the best: Commission on the National Guard

Ah-ha - thank you for the clarification. I overlooked the bolded.
