Im not a major of any particular school subject, Ive never went to classes to learn about people and the way they act or their mannerism.
I know when a child is missing a few hours you don't automatically label him a runaway instead of freak out and think someone took him.
I know you don't cause drama and spew out terrible information about the parents of that missing child all while he is being searched for.
Some things you just know!!!

BBM. I think the search of his phone was supposed to give more credence to the idea that he was a runaway.

Someone else suggested something similar in the last thread. In some cases, we later find out that timelines were a bit different than we were led to believe. A time stamp could be off. Or perhaps LE have later videos taken after the one that was released that show G coming back or other parties arriving and leaving. In fact, it is possible LE even signed off on the media releasing the one neighbor video in order to raise the pressure on any POIs who may not realize their later movements were caught on camera.
The timelines reference was in response to a Q about the reported last sighting 3.15pm versus the last actual sighting 10.13am.
It was not in reference to an error in date or time of cctv footage.

This goes along with some of my thinking. She said she bandaged him up in the garage after he got cut. I would typically do that kind of thing in the bathroom with my boys, because I could wash the wound, apply medication, bandages or gauze, etc. The garage just doesn't seem like the most sanitary area to clean a wound. JMO
And I wonder what kind of medical supplies she had in the garage? I have a sink in the garage and a first aid kit in the camping equipment in the garage but if one of my kids got hurt out there, I would bring them in the house to wash it, up antiseptic on it and bandage it from the house first aid kit that is much more comprehensive.

I'm sorry if this has been discussed, I'm trying (unsuccessfully) to keep up, but is there video footage of her from the store/shopping trip? Thanks

I personally have a son, who has hasn't seen or talked to his bio dad in over a year....My child glows with love when he mentions his bio dad. His bio dad is worthless, but my child thinks he is a super hero....I would never break his heart and tell him otherwise. My husband is an amazing step dad, but no matter how many bedtime stories he reads, how many times he pitches a baseball....he will never be the "super hero" his bio dad is.

Oh dear, this tugs at my heartstrings for all concerned. :( I know that wasn't your intention to gain sympathy; but bless, that chokes me up a bit.

IMO the crime scene folks got all they needed on their first visits. They keep returning in order to prove or disprove new statements made by a certain, as of yet uncharged individual.

I wouldn't doubt TS gave a "friend name" that Gannon has so things would have to be investigated therefore stalls the LOOKING AT HER for a bit. My opinion she could have blown a rage after telling him several times to get off of his video game and even used it as a weapon to hurt him. Horrible thought. Prayers for Gannon/family and helpless victims in this world.

Something tells me that it doesn't take much to piss-off & enrage TS. Especially if you're a tenderhearted, kind, helpful, compliant kid and you make a mistake or do something by accident and your SM is a superficial, self-centered person who resents having to make sacrifices & take care of you. "Hypothetically" :(:( MOO

I think the only video the public has seen and knows about for sure is the neighbor video.

AND who in the world is going to take a sick kid who injured his "foot" a couple days prior out on a non-essential 4 hour shopping trip to just browse???:rolleyes: TS never counted on having to explain RD's camera evidence and as usual, her story doesn't add up!

....or take a child with a bowel problem on a 4 hr shopping trip

And I definitely think a tale that includes truth, fiction, exaggeration, and misdirection is in play here.

I believe you are correct here. In general, a pathological liar doesn't lie about everything. The truth mixed in can make the lies hard to detect, and generally the PL develops talent for what they do. It can be effective in small doses.

Here it seems that the SM cannot keep her "story" straight, and she is required by facts to modify her initial version, probably with more lies.

But what is the truth in her story, if any? Others may disagree, but I think there is some truth in her accounts, but don't know what yet. I think this situation could be more complicated than it seems. JMO.

I'm convinced a word or two of truth surrounded by a whole lotta lies is her M.O.

She may also rely on a VERY LOOSE interpretation of what she's saying to convince herself that she's not really lying. Then again, you don't have to convince yourself if you don't have a conscience!

I'm not too concerned on whether the last person to have seen Gannon is a narcissist, psychopath, sociopath, or any other such moniker.

What I'd like to know is,

if she's a cold blooded murderer.

Sadly, I think it's possible. I always find it hard to jump to that conclusion (there are absolutely no models to predict such a thing, but...there is always hindsight).

It's the manner of the murder that intrigues me (and I'm sure FBI profilers are pretty interested as well). Also, the manner of body disposal. Someone mentioned up thread that men and women tend to behave differently, but so do family members vs non-family members. I can't tell which pattern LS would fall into (I'm thinking that when Gannon is found, we'll find it is consistent with someone disposing of a non-family member, which is so so sad). Maybe LS will redeem herself just a tiny iota by having placed Gannon someplace in the woods, in nature, in some kind of natural niche or among some logs, as opposed to weighting him down and throwing him in water or, even worse, in a dumpster. If she did it.

Which I think she did.

The timeline gives her 4 hours. I would love to know if that backpack she has in the driveway video is actually Gannon's. Was she still trying to stage a runaway? I can imagine some very strange behavior during those 4 hours, because this was not entirely spontaneous, but it wasn't well-planned, either.

I do field diagnostics for research projects and this is generally true and very right on.

However, I've been taken in twice by someone who is clearly on the Antisocial/Narcissist boundary. In one of the cases, I was not exactly taken in, but I did not think the person was clinically diagnosable. I noticed the lying on practically the first day I met her (she was and is no longer a high ranking college administrator). There are quite a few N/ASP people in administration, I've come to see. Very few among the teaching ranks, as various processes weed them out.

So, IOW, in my own personal life, I still get taken in.

They can be very charming, but one clue is that you might notice them talking cr#p about the very people they are charming to (or scheming outright to harm or defraud them). The ordinary, every day Narcissist/APD person has no trouble lying to their relationship partner, and is particularly prone to various types of affairs. If they require a constant audience of admirers, it's quite difficult for them if they can't get access to their group (whom they also use to manipulate, to provide alibis for their other actions, etc). Both of the people I'm speaking about have performed criminal actions, both have been given mere slaps on the wrist (asked to resign, details undisclosed to press, etc).
Yup, I was raised by a narcissist. I don’t use the word lightly. For years I didn’t know or realize that she was a narcissist.

Now she’s old and has turned everyone who loves her away. She’s alone now and wonders why but she blew up the family for her own selfish reasons while telling everyone she was right to do what she was doing, without any thought to the consequences. She hurt a lot of people and even though you tell her, she just don’t get it.

I don’t need an official diagnosis of this disorder, I’ve lived it for almost 70+years.

TS won’t admit she’s wrong about anything. I’m sure nothing that ever happened in her life is her fault. Including the disappearance of Gannon. He disappeared on her watch, yet according to her, when he disappeared, she was being a good, fun loving stepmom and allowed him to go play at a friends house and that’s the last time she saw him. IME and O

Wonderfully said!
Having lived with a narcissist for 12 years before finding the epiphany of its description, everything about SM gives me chills. I look forward to an arrest and discussion of a few points in greater detail.

What would someone do to stage a runaway? Just thinking... pack a bag and leave it to be found fairly easily to stage “an abduction?” Scatter a few random items in other places to further the appearance of such? All in a completely different direction than where they may have actually placed or disposed of or hidden, etc. a body? That would certainly complicate things!

Ha. No psych degree here (yet anyways) either. I do agree that we should all use common sense and real life experience to inform how we read her. There are plenty of red flags. And I definitely think a tale that includes truth, fiction, exaggeration, and misdirection is in play here.
Agreed, that’s my takeaway at the moment. It was mentioned in early threads to watch a Netflix show called “Unbelievable”...based on true crime. Involved CO police department too. Truth is stranger than fiction. Good binge for sure.

Or that he was so calculating as he strategized to leave with a known person, because so many 11 year olds think like a cunning adult trying to hide harm she’s done that makes the victim the manipulator.
