Let's turn this around.
It's LE's job to find Gannon and to investigate his absence.
It's the Prosecution's job to hold whoever's responsible for his absence accountable.
We can speculate wildly here but we DON'T WANT premature charges, premature arrests, impatient and convinced as we may be.
We can be sure LE is putting together a masterful timeline of CCTV images and cellphone pings and MISSING cellphone pings and vehicle GPS data. They are gathering evidence and overlaying. They are advancing. With every new discovery, they have new people to interview, new businesses to visit, etc, etc.
I followed the Frazee case and was blown away by the amount of information that was under wraps until trial.
LE in THIS case isn't going to arrest anyone for being unlikable, unbelievable, downright deceitful, not when first degree murder charges are in their sights. They may well have DNA evidence, cadaverine evidence, damning evidence ALREADY IN HAND but they won't pull that into charges until they are ready. For all we know, they are actively securing cause of death based on circumstantial evidence of which we are as yet unaware.
Be assured, it'll be lock solid when it happens.
