This got me thinking about a scenario.

Perhaps she lost her temper with Gannon, and injured him in some way. If those injuries left marks, she knew she wouldn’t be able to explain it to Gannon’s father.

So in order to cover up an act of abuse, she killed Gannon.
Possible - curious who gets so angry that early in the morning ? She knew his dad was out of town so she had time I’m guessing if this was premeditated - something isn’t adding up for me so far ...

I found it most interesting when she was asked about SM cooperating and if she did rent a car. Answered-it's all part of the Investigation.

if this is his camera and it was daytime I think they will have a very clear picture of what was happening in that driveway as seen on the neighbors camera

Colorado authorities are looking for 11-year-old Gannon Stauch, who has been missing for a week after he went to play at a friend's house, the El Paso County Sheriff's Office"

Search continues for missing 11-year-old Colorado boy - CNN Video
That is seriously good quality HD CCTV.
But how did the officers miss it when they spent 7 hrs watching it before the new info was discovered, allegedly?
And, what brought about the 2 searches last night and yesterday by crime scene laboratory?

If he was seen leaving alive and never returned, that suggests he wasn’t murdered in the home. I wonder what all that stuff was that CSI carried out of the house yesterday.

It doesn't suggest he wasn't badly injured. :(

I'm thinking something like this too. What or how, I don't know, but I for sure think something went on inside that house.

It seems that the original camera reviews were probably around 3-4 PM on Monday, based on when it was believed he walked away from the home. I'd expect police have footage from multiple cameras in the area. The neighbor has said they went back on their camera as far as Saturday. That's 2 days before the date he was believed to be missing. If police are reviewing tape from many cameras, it would take them awhile to go back 2 days on all of them. Also, I would expect since they clearly know he's missing, their first priority is using resources to locate him, not put a lot of them on viewing videos. I would guess the police would have eventually seen whatever the neighbor found too. I don't fault officers at all. Their first priority needs to be to find the boy, in case he is alive and in danger still. Corroborating a crime is secondary to his safety.

What we don't is how GS appeared when he left the house. Was he a normal kid running to the car etc, or was he subdued in nature, or worse that caused the father to cry? My thought would be that if the father saw his son appearing normal, he wouldn't have been so upset.

ETA- The footage also appears to show Gannon walking slowly as he approaches and gets into the truck, Drayton said.

This is so heartwrenching. Sick to my stomach. Curious if the Husband reached out to his wife after seeing the video? Like " I know your a liar!" WHERE IS MY SON!!"
I wouldn't be surprised if she has been avoiding him ever since she allegedly got kicked out of the house.

She's probably avoiding everyone, including LE.

IMO

SM is not cooperating and law enforcement confirmed the survalence presented is accurate. The father also commented say "she lied, he never went to a friend's house"

Drayton said the video shows the stepmother getting into a red pickup truck parked in the driveway of their Colorado Springs home. The footage also appears to show Gannon walking slowly as he approaches and gets into the truck, Drayton said.

"I caught Gannon getting into her vehicle at 10:13 Monday morning," Drayton said. He said the video shows the truck returning to the house at 2:19 p.m. but Gannon is nowhere to be seen.

I wonder about her being seen on video retrieving items from the garage after Gannon got in the truck? Was she seen upon return with any items????

I just had a thought. What if a person had nefarious intent and was unsure about how their own phone could be traced? What if words in a search were changed to make it look like a child made the search, all while learning how a phone can / cannot be pinged if it is on/off?

Ugh, just read the news about the surveillance video. I hope she was dumb enough to take her phone with her so they might be able to track it.

Me too - I wish we could see the search warrant(s)

I did not see LE confirming the content of the video, and definitely haven’t seen or heard anything about Gannon being seen “walking slowly”. ?

** Edited to add that the report of the neighbor’s remarks seems to be expanding. That’s maddening given the request of LE.

Any suspects? - Can't comment on that.
Is SM cooperating? - That's part of the ongoing investigation.
Timeline? - Part of ongoing investigation.

Oddly enough some of those non-answers actually answers some questions IYKWIM.

So that answers the Sunday vs Monday question

This. The news article said Gannon "walked slowly" towards the truck. Perhaps he was injured. I read elsewhere there was suspected abuse.

Didn't she have to go pick up a prescription on Monday? I'm so confused. Maybe he's alive?

Yup, for Miralax ...she is an idiot, would have done better with a written statement even with her lies.

I buy Miralax at Walmart.

So now we have GS "walking slowly" to the truck...…..

Surveillance video shows stepmom with Colorado boy before he went missing

I'm lost, y'all. Perplexed. Confused.
"Walking slowly" as opposed to running, happy, excited? Or in not feeling well? Not wanting to go?

Every time I think I have some type of direction this thing is going, it throws me.
Gannon, where are you???

It's COLD today. Supposed to be below zero tonight. Snowed last night. Most school districts aren't open today. Bless anybody out there looking for him today.

She probably lead him to believe she was taking him to the doctor for this "stomach issue" she said he had an appointment then changed her story and said she called the nurse line to ask what she should do. She has lied so much it is getting harder and harder to keep track of her BS. Bottom line is she left with him and came back without him.
