What we may not know is did this neighbor turn over his footage on Monday when it was first called in (not likely since the 911 call was later) - did he turn it over Tuesday or Wednesday or NOT AT ALL? Until he was bothered and stayed up to review it himself on this recent Sunday? This is what I’m going with - LE can ask for video but if it isn’t submitted timely or they have thousands of hours to go through (Mollie Tibbetts) it does take time - now regarding the press who leaked it / I have my own thoughts on thatI did, too - did not see steps/shadow pass underneath car. And I also believe it was a game changer because she never told LE that she took him anywhere that day. There was no reason to lie about it if she was not involved.

But if that is the case, why did LE allow everyone to think he had been missing since the afternoon on foot and likely a run away for so many days? All the searching by the public for several days was predicated on the word of SM who said he left on foot late in the afternoon. And how long does it take to search traffic cams to determine her route? The public should have been asked if that car was sited with Gannon during that period of time by making this info public. It's not like she was cooperating anymore, anyway. I also think if FBI had seen this footage early on they would have asked the neighbor not to report this to the media. It does not seem like this is what happened - the neighbor even said LE told him his footage was a game changer (so how did they know prior?)...which is after he showed it to the Dad - none of that maintains the integrity of the case when the Dad can confront her about the footage...which I assume would have been the main point to keep it a secret from the public (not to tip her off to its existence)? I guess I just don't believe they knew in advance, and if they did, I do not understand why the public could not be more helpful to the search WITH this information and not without when LE need to know where SM took Gannon that day. Maybe this is why some media decided after a one day grace period to let this information out to the public (not that they should be calling investigation shots - but it just makes sense and I can't imagine they promised to not release it indefinitely).
