Well that would require (I think) both daughters somehow knowing ? It’s not that big of a house IMO

And the father... I just don’t see that here somehow.

DAN IS AT THE HOUSE?!?

DAN MAY IS THE DA WHO COVERS EL PASO CO?????

I had no idea Colorado Springs is part of his prosecutorial patch.

For those unfamiliar with this DA, he is brilliant.

Absolutely Brilliant.

I love Dan May.

If he's at the house, something is going to happen on the arrest front.

JMO.
Like a dog with a bone, he's relentless.

Here for Gannon ... hoping ... for answers real soon.

I think they have to get search warrants as one party is not giving permission to search, and in order to do that they need probable cause.
MOO

Unlikely, IMO. They've already been seen taking things from the house on previous visits. It's possible they need additional search warrants as they go along, but IMO they have the warrants since they've been there taking evidence out already.

The Crime Lab will be present at the home for the next few days as evidence is collected and processed.

DAYS ?!?!? :eek::eek::eek:
I leave to make some soup and we don't have arrests but we have DAYS of CSI at the house? What in the world is happening here?

And one more thing .... so incredibly grateful... for DA DAN MAY!

I can’t believe search warrants can’t be issued when a child is dangerously missing and the adult last in charge of him has lied. That should have been automatic...jmo.

I was thinking evidence of ongoing crimes or looking for subtle cues to build a story. if there were large swaths of an item like blood, it could be easier to work the scene. I think they have interviewed his younger sister and are looking for specific things related to what she has described.

I was not sure why the little sister was in the video released today. I now am surmising that her being front and center is a message to someone that she is comfortable, aware, and able to talk about her brother.
Maybe having the family together was also an effort to help people relate to them in an effort to encourage someone who might know something to come forward.

Imo

Not to say they have not been issued but I mean right away...as soon as one lie was revealed...

two hours travel doesn't give her time to do whatever she did to him and then dispose of/bury him
he's closer than that IMO
MOO- this was planned. He was incapacitated by pharmacology. It may not have taken that long.

I agree. I can imagine LE rushing evidence to the lab and fast-tracking results. We may hear something tomorrow.

I'm about to head out and raid with my Pokemon buddies but I'll be back to check in later. And yes, I'm keeping the inmate roster link handy too!

Thanks for the eyes on the roster, always timely and helpful.

Good luck on the "raid with your Pokemon buddies". Not idea what that means exactly but it did make me laugh out loud.

Yeah but that gets into search and seizure territory,so they have to go by the book.

Great catch! I saw the security company sign on the lawn but I didn't notice cameras.

I don't see the cameras. Are people saying the house has its own security cameras too? Or is it like a ring doorbell cam?

DAYS? I wonder if they have to disassemble the house ... walls, floors, ceilings ... et al ... can’t imagine what they are searching for that will take ... DAYS!

I noticed in the release from the sheriff's department that the El Paso County Public Works was an agency that they were working with in the investigation. In some areas the sewage department falls under this agency. Perhaps the crime lab is checking all drains, drain lines, plumbing looking for any foreign residue in the pipes, etc. Just thinking why they could be there for days?

The bio parents plea for tips could have been advised by LE to flush out any sp(s) . I have the feeling LE is communicating with them privately and the parents know more than they are saying. I wonder if anyone is getting nervous now. JMO

And the father... I just don’t see that here somehow.

There have been too many kids with threads here that have had one parent as a serial abuser as the other parent seems to stand idly by. I am not saying this dad has done anything. He was clearly out of town when this event occurred.

IF this is a case of systematic, chronic abuse by one parent, then, it will be important to understand how the family dynamic developed.

If they are truly going to be there for days, this is exactly what I think is going to happen. I think they found something that some could have been concealed on hardwood/carpet to the subfloor. Or at least that's the only thing I can think of that would take DAYS to gather evidence.
Edit: Oh... I just saw that post upstream about public works being involved. Oh drains/pipes. That makes sense too.

The thought crossed my mind too if he was still in the house. But the only way he could still be is if he was no longer living. And as much as I hate typing this, if he was in there you would be able to smell it. And I think the smell would have started before today. So I am stumped on why they will be there for days longer. Unless he walked to the car himself, while they were out and about is when he was hurt/killed. When she got back and he didn't get out of the car he was in the bed of the truck and at some point that night backed the truck part/all the way in the garage to remove him, took him in the house somewhere to make disposing of him easier. I'm sorry, I just can't type out the word for that. That could account for them coming back so many times. Maybe the got some initial test back that showed blood somewhere that was cleaned, and now they need to do a deep investigation to find what else there might be left behind.

If something like that did happen, that just makes me sick that 1) she would do that and 2) he parents have been staying there. I really hope this isn't the case. I hope he still has a chance to come home and hug his family.

MOO
See, this is just a theory but maybe she killed him away from the house, didn’t know what to do, perhaps the places she thought of was more populated than she expected so she took him back home because she ran out of time. She had to get back in time to get her sd off the bus. A few hours later is when she had no choice but to report him missing and didn’t have time to find a spot elsewhere. I wonder if that truck ever gets put in the garage. From picture on MSM it looks like it would be big enough and cleared out enough to fit the truck. There has been talk of other footage that hasn’t been released to the media.....

these are just theories. And I pray more than anything else he is alive.
