Ring cameras are everywhere.
I

Not to make where I live sound like Mayberry, but I only know of one or two homes in our neighborhood with visible security cameras. The Ring doorbell is even less likely.

Has anyone seen a map on msm showing the area circumference of 30 mins 60 min 90 min 120 min away from the home

Colorado has parental responsibility custody laws, divided into decision making and physical care. Both parents might have shared decision making, but one might have sole or the majority of physical custody. I don’t know how they did their custodial arrangement, or how that works with another state involved, but Dad having physical custody doesn’t mean he has sole legal custody, or that Mom is uninvolved. They may be sharing decision making. I think it’s reprehensible that the mother has been painted by TS as essentially an abandoner.

He may have no custody for all we know? They seem to have a decent relationship maybe she just asked him to take the kids for a while and legally she still has physical custody.

Oddly, I've considered theory that she drugged him and took him away to hide for a few weeks, let everyone suffer, then appears the hero by magically producing him. So many holes there, obviously! TS does not strike me as a criminal mastermind. I also wonder about her motivation. What would make her angry enough to fatally injure him?
MOO
I think a few others thought about that, too.
Stranger things have happened, so I guess anything is possible.

All I really know for sure is that she is responsible for him being missing.

And for all we know even that may turn out to be wrong. But I don't think so.

Imo

So several hours ago they said it could take days and now they have cleared it?!
What is going on?!
Perhaps they found what they were looking for sooner than expected? JMO

***I'm going to repost these quotes every day until GS is found:

VIDEO: Stepmom of missing Colorado boy speaks out

"….I'm going to be so ecstatic when I am able to say to people that I hope they have a really sincere apology for all of these theories that have came <sic> out online, for ALL of the things that they say that I have done, or people have done, and I just want everyone to know that we are going to find Gannon, and I love him so much, and I have been taking care of him for so long."

Reporter: "Any message for Gannon?"

Her: "The message for Gannon is, Gannon, when you get here, you'll be able to truly tell what happened, and then, I REALLLY hope I get a sincere apology from EVERYone who has made <sic> ALLLL those things…."
_____________

Everyone practicing their apology speeches in front of their mirrors tonight?

Yeah.

Me, neither.

It’s interesting to have the repost and look at those words again every time we learn something new.

"I don't think I'm going to like the outcome. I don't think anybody's going to like the outcome," said Marshburn.

"I like to give law enforcement time to do their thing and not step on their toes or get in their way," said Marshburn.

Marshburn says he has a knack for getting people to open up and share things they wouldn't tell law enforcement. He says much of that has to do with his ability to focus solely on one case, whereas law enforcement agencies are often working multiple cases at a time.

"I can focus on one thing and catch all the details and do all the profiling of reading someone. You have to have your heart in it," said Marshburn.

Occams Razor is not always right, because applying that theory we would be inclined to pick that GS just ran away. I think the biggest value of the theory is eliminating the ridiculous... like him being sold into sexual slavery.
Initially, based on very little information, the simplest theory would be that Gannon ran away. That sort of thing happens all the time.

Once we became privy to many of the details here though, the theory that requires the least amount of assumptions and leaps, is that SM is responsible, and Gannon didn’t run away.

So it still applies; we just didn’t have all the facts.

I meant that he ran away after he left with her because the idea that she did something requires many assumptions. But to be clear, I do think she is responsible for whatever happened.

Give it a year or two.

Where has the SM been hiding out at? She's never came around since her back turned interview? Maybe, GUILT ate her rotting soul away..

Consider their regular family life. AF dad, SAHM (I think), 3 kids. Neighbors liked the family, from all reported accounts. A normal family, kids have friends, etc.
Then marital discord over X, SM applies for flight attendant job, wants out of the marriage, wants to go back to Carolina, then opportunity, dad's out of town, SM does what?
What is her motivation for abruptly taking GS somewhere, returning without him? Why not the girl? He saw something he shouldn't have? She's secretly a criminal? It's a stretch imho to say she snapped because the kid got on her nerves (after all the time they've been a family under one roof?) and killed him? Two other kids lived there. That's a Drees built house, easy to hear everything going on everywhere, even in the basement.
Why would she sell him into sex trafficking, as has been suggested? In Colorado Springs? Have also heard the theory she was trying to hurt the mom and dad by taking him and hiding him, to make her feel powerful, to show them.
Where is Occam's Razor in all of this?
MOO

Occam's Razor..this is just a guess on my part but sometimes in situations where a living arrangement changes, kids, especially older ones may not be happy in the situation with a different dynamic. Maybe they want their Mom and Dad back together, perhaps they voiced this opinion and it's not well recieved.

Added to this, we have no insight regarding the relationship between AS and TS, although if I had to guess I would say there's a good chance the relationship was on the rocks. AS kicked TS out of the home when he realized something was wrong and his son was nowhere to be found. This is very telling because in most relationships there is usually the benefit of doubt, but not here. I am thinking the relationship was already in a bad place.

Perhaps Dad saw some warning signs, things that didn't sit well. If Gannon voiced his dislike for his step mom along with other red flags seen by Dad, TS may have come up with a plan so that AS couldn't just easily cast her aside because now his son is missing. A power play on her part. You know what they say about a woman scorned. Even though it's a highly immature and juvinille way to deal with a relationship gone bad, some people can be just that vindictive.

I’m reminded of how self centered and tone deaf she was.

If I didn’t know any better, I’d think Diane Downs herself was speaking.

That’s not normal.

I think he should be within about 100 miles. Probably a lot less.

For thosd not familiar, colorado springs is literally right at the "beginning" of the rocky mountains. It's pretty much all plains, and then........mountains. I think Gannon's house is like 10 or 15 miles from the edge of the mountains.

I don’t think it’s “guilt.” She doesn’t strike me as the type to show remorse.

I wouldn’t be surprised if she was being held. I am curious though.

Good questions. I hadn't thought about the renter aspect.

I think the ring doorbells are an "it" thing right now. Pretty cool technology and reasonably priced. I bet a ton of people got them as xmas presents.
I have three company offices around the world that are rented and each one has multiple Ring cameras. My last home was rented and had a Ring camera. Half the people on my street in San Francisco are renters and most of them have Ring doorbells. They connect to your house with two screws and a bracket. As long as you have wifi, not that big of a deal to have.
