And yet, she spoke out about what she was asked to keep quiet. In fact, being a hindrance to the investigation. I don't understand this woman.

I dont know why but that statement just makes me mad! Like she is trying to play the public for a fool.

Or throw out so much information it muddies the waters. We have seen nothing but smoke and mirrors from her and IMO this is no different. The one thing that IS different here is that she is trying to highlight Gannon, which tells me she has either hired someone to write for her or is adapting based on criticism.

there could be a gate from the backyard that opens on the other side of driveway/garage. We have one. It wouldn’t be that different surveillance wise, than walking out the front door. There is also likely a side door into the garage that opens into the back/side yard.

The no shoe thing didn’t even cross my mind. I’m in in Colorado too. My kids are idiots about shoes. If there’s no snow on the ground, my younger ones are jumping on the trampoline barefoot.

Looks like LE has found blood evidence at the house and in the truck.

Saturday Night, G was helping me unload in the garage and cut his foot because there are a lot of tools because Albert does woodworking.

He sat on the edge of the car and we bandaged it up.

Yep- need to explain that blood you're going to hear about...

1) As others have mentioned, the cut foot sounds like a possible explanation for blood evidence found.

2) I thought she was in the basement working out when he supposedly left. So how does she know which way he went and a description of who was there to get him.

3) She states that police know and have a description of the person that allegedly came for Gannon....
-why have they not released a description or video/photos to the public to assist in locating him?
-If they already have a description, then why at the end of her statement does she ask about any strange or suspicious cars that could have been driving around prior to Monday?

Who here stores the necessities in their garage? Why wouldn’t she bring him into the house? My instinct would be to bring the child to a sink to clean the wound. But that’s just me.

Why are they searching ponds if they know he left in a car with someone who he was expecting? , why didn't she think it was odd he kept checking the gate?, why did she give out a wrong description if what he was wearing?, why is she suddenly thanking her husband when she was so adamant he would owe her an apology?, why does she think this new statement is going to convince anyone that she is anything other than a liar??

She’s adapting. I couldn’t help but wonder how long it took her to write that and 1) be mostly focused on Gannon and 2) refer to him the in present tense.

EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. — The stepmother of missing El Paso County boy Gannon Stauch released a statement Tuesday night about his disappearance.


Letecia Stauch said she last saw 11-year-old Gannon between 3:15 and 4 p.m. on Jan. 27 heading to a friend’s home in their suburban El Paso County neighborhood.

Letecia has received significant criticism online, with many accusing her of being involved in Gannon’s disappearance.

She issued the following statement:

I know, that was my thought too.

IMO, she had to explain away the evidence of blood....so he cut his foot and then they all went hiking but he was sick (or hurt) and couldn't go to school the next day yet could go see a friend that afternoon. Makes no sense.
