Very early in the case, there was a really clear shot of the inside of the Stauch family's garage. It was pretty crammed full of stuff, and there were some boards on the floor, but for the life of me I can't seem to find that pic. Anyone remember that?

ETA: spelling error
The video where LE tried to close the garage door was right when a lady reporter was taping. You can get a decent look inside the garage. Looks like you can fit a car on the far side (black suv side) of the garage

Correct. But how would he cut his foot otherwise? Even if he was wearing sneakers, it would have to be a heck of a tool to cut through to his foot. I've dropped chef knives on my feet and they just bounce off of slippers, sneakers, etc. The kind of person TS seems to be, she would more likely complain that she had to sell Gannon's bed or something to pay for the damage to his father's tool. I find this totally unbelievable.
well I already posted earlier that he could have been in sneakers without socks, or flip flops, sandals, whatever. I broke my "foot" in highschool, by slipping on wet leaves on the sidewalk with socks and shoes on, One of those small bones on the top of the foot near the base of my toes. He could have scraped against a lawn mower blade, a shovel edge, it didn'T have to be a penetrating wound from below. Just that she didn't say he was barefoot, and if it was a scrape on the ankle it wouldn't have precluded a hike the next day.

I'm not trying to say she's innocent or guilty of purposely hurting him, just that we might as well use her own words.

I think she's saying it happened after he cut his foot, so then there may be blood in that area as well.
Agree, but why did she want to establish he "kept" doing it (ETA: "kept" going over to check if the gate was locked)? I would think one trip after the foot was injured would be enough to explain blood, and would sound less weird. I'm probably giving her more credit that she deserves for knowing what sounds bizarre, but I still wonder what point she thought she was making.

The Sheriff's Office continues its search to find Gannon. One of the search areas includes areas in Northern El Paso County/ Southern Douglas County. More information will be released as the investigation allows.

Hmm interesting. It's pretty far north west of where they've been. I wonder what is taking them there?
And it's snowing again, at least where I am :(

And even if there were tools laying around, her statement is full of indicators of deception.

When she talks about the hike, she says “cleared.” It’s short and sweet, because it happened.

When she talks about the foot injury, it’s full of extraneous information (where he sat, what he likes to do in the garage etc). She’s accounting for evidence that law enforcement found, and trying to be as convincing as possible.

Her story is evolving, and becoming more detailed.

This reminds me of a case years ago, where a man claimed his wife was killed and he was injured, in a home invasion. As time went along, his story became more and more intricate.

Ultimately, he had the audacity to write his local newspaper, in which he revealed insane and unbelievable details that he hadn’t told police.

It was all downhill from there.

I’m willing to bet that the foot injury story wasn’t initially told to law enforcement...
Bet you are right. Her duty was done when she called 911 and reported Gannon as 'missing' and according to law enforcement, it was reported as a 'runaway'. She is making up stories and explanations as the story unfolds. Not helpful at all! How does this help find him?? Again, it is all about defending her own you know what. JMO

“First and foremost, I would like to thank all agencies, volunteers, and community members who are working diligently and praying endlessly to bring Gannon home safe. Thank you to my husband who has stayed strong through this and protected our family to the best of his ability and our immediate & extended family members throughout the east coast. To Gannon, please come home soon because your daddy is waiting to watch the new Sonic movie that comes out this week and the cool shirt I got you to wear to the theatre is in your closet.

Social Media has been devastating from the harsh comments, speculations, threats, cyber bullying, etc. It has been a challenge when people are trying to run you off the road, waiting outside your hotel, threatening to kill you, etc. I encourage the Sheriff’s Office to take down those pages that promote negative behavior and violence. Let’s Do what Gannon would do. Be Kind to one another!

We all have engaged in something crazy online at some point but Gannon would want everyone to get along and to focus on finding him.

I know that many people have kids and are invested in this because it hits close to home for them. I would like to think that overall most people are genuine and want to do everything in their power to find G. With that being sad, Please take a step back for a moment and let me explain to you a few details that were not released. For example, just like the video that was leaked, there are additional details that were hidden due to 1) the department doing its job 2) the effects of social media and how some individuals would criticize or hinder the investigation. I chose to listen, I didn’t leak videos or information. But at this time it’s getting later in the process and we just want Gannon home. I feel the need to fill in some gaps. Now let me stress this, POLICE have known this since the first interview.

Saturday Night, G was helping me unload in the garage and cut his foot because there are a lot of tools because Albert does woodworking.

He sat on the edge of the car and we bandaged it up. He was good to go. He always loves helping his dad in the garage build things like his LEGO tables and the flower pot they built for me as a gift. After this, I noticed G kept going to the side of the house.

He told me he was checking to see if the gate was locked because he was the only one with a gate key. It made him proud to be the man of the house while Albert was away. Fast forward, we did a hike on Sunday (cleared), and shopping on Monday ( cleared as well for him getting out of the other side). Please don’t think for a second that there isn’t enough of technology to determine shadows and movement around the truck. There was also proof from my phone that we had taken a selfie in the truck in our driveway that was time stamped. We always send pictures to Albert when we are out and about or when he is away. That can be scanned for actual time verification. Last, from day one the Sheriff’s office has known a description of the person/friend whom Gannon left with.

I explained to them and provided evidence. They had information about G having the key to go out the side gate. Last they have more in-depth details that go along with this pointing to who sent the person or why he may have come. Again, I repeat they have had this Initially and I was asked to keep quiet about it so they could have the best shot at doing their job and bringing G home. The last thing that they needed was a hindrance to their investigation. I encourage you to think of any suspicious cars that may have been in the area watching a few days prior and keep praying for G!

Tecia Stauch ”

^^What "she said" ^^ which is IMO highly edited for both grammar and tone, and therefore I think we need to be a bit careful when dissecting the statement, as it has (most likely) gone through a filter...

(I hope you will indulge me in a do-over, as I said, I apologize for what were some simply snarky remarks in my original post about this)

What I hear -
Hey! I know G is missing, but I'm still married to A and don't anybody forget that!
And people have been MEAN to me. And worst of all they won't let me talk.
About things I'm not supposed to talk about.
Like videos. There's so many of them. I wonder what they all saw...
Also, there might be some blood in the garage. That's A's fault. And maybe there is blood trailed around the yard to and from the gate. That's G's fault. And there could be some on the edge of the car. I tried to clean it up, damn.
It's also G's fault that the side yard gate might be unlocked. Because he had that key (yeah, that's a good story!) That's probably (hopefully!) out of view of those pesky neighborhood video cameras. Fingers crossed...
Wherever we went that weekend I took selfies. I knew you all would want to see them. Especially A.
And oh yeah - there's another person involved in G's disappearance. I told police and now I'm telling you - It wasn't just me! But I can't tell you who.
Yup, police told me not to tell you any of this! They said it's about bringing G home. But I'm talking anyway because obviously they'll never find him, and I don't care about that anyway -
It's all about ME so I wanted to tell the reporter alllll about meeeee.

Someone may have already posted this. If so, sorry to duplicate. Fox 31 Denver Stepmother statement 2-11

This statement by 'Stepmother' is so strange. She swings from small details to large vague descriptions, i.e.
  • 'the cool shirt I got you to wear to the theatre is in your closet' detailed
  • 'cut his foot in garage unloading...' vague (cut on what? unloading what?)
  • 'loves helping his dad in the garage build things like his LEGO tables and the flower pot they built for me as a gift' detailed
  • He sat on the edge of the car and we bandaged it up. He was good to go. vague (edge? When?)
  • After this, I noticed G kept going to the side of the house. vague (suddenly? after injury?)
  • He told me he was checking to see if the gate was locked because he was the only one with a gate key. It made him proud to be the man of the house while Albert was away. detailed
  • Last, from day one the Sheriff's office has known a description of the person/friend whom Gannon left with. vague (Why hasn't there been a description released of this person?)
Classic Casey Anthony IMO - speech peppered with all kinds of detail in order to make her lies more believable. Most of her detailed statements are meant to show herself in a good light and the vague statements are flimsy lies. She is a pretty frightening liar and I can't imagine what she may have done with Gannon. I am confident that LE has her figured out and she isn't pulling anything over on anyone. Whether she did anything or not, I have a low tolerance for this kind of person. JMO

Not everyone is an expert on what to eat or not eat if constipated. JMO
Agree, but if she called the nurse line or the doctor about the issue (not saying she did; it hasn't been established as fact and neither has the constipation in the first place), I bet any medical professional she spoke to would have mentioned diet as a place to start in treating it.

Agree, but why did she want to establish he "kept" doing it? I would think one trip after the foot was injured would be enough to explain blood, and would sound less weird. I'm probably giving her more credit that she deserves for knowing what sounds bizarre, but I still wonder what point she thought she was making.

I could be wrong, but I took that part as one way for her to convince the public that Gannon intended to run away.

Does the basement have a door to the garage, then another side door from garage to where the gate would be?

Or would one have to leave the basement via the first floor then exit?

Do we know "officially" if Gannon's bedroom was downstairs?

If so, why would he and SM not have seen each other prior to his leaving between 3:15 and 4? That is if she was working out in the basement.
None of that has been established as fact, but it hypothetically could be as simple as she had the door closed or was wearing headphones and facing the wall when he left.

You know, if he left.

Just thinking... when Gannon was walking out to the red truck in the video from Monday, he was described as hunching over, walking slowly, taking a long pause before getting in, and not closing the door behind him. This is exactly how my son would act if I was taking him shopping and he was completely distracted with a handheld game, such as his Nintendo Switch. It’s too hard to make much out from the video, but I’m going to keep this in my mind because I like it much better than agonizing pain or paralyzing fear causing him to act that way. Based on AS reaction to the video, I still think she was being deceitful about the timeline that day.
Wow, very interesting thought!!

I don't know a thing about Nintendo Switches, anybody know if they have data or anything else useful as far as location or tracking?

Maybe to justify the amount of blood there? He only cut his foot but he went back and forth and therefore there's a lot more blood there than you would expect

Every single one of us here was a teenager once upon a time. Thus, nearly all of us have experience trying to concoct a story, in a panic, to fit the evidence in front of our parents. And we had the false hope/denial that our parents bought our ridiculous tales. That's what I see here. She's in panic mode.
But I really was at the library. I swear!

I suspect she has concocted lies for many years, manipulating the people around her. And it likely works because she doesn't stay in one relationship for long (my speculation, I don't know this for a fact). IMO, by the time someone gets sick of her lies, she blames everything wrong on that person, ruins the relationship, and leaves....on to the next victim of her manipulation.

I really would like to hear from co-workers regarding what she was like to work with.

Just a hunch....because her lies really do sound immature for a woman her age.

I do think the whole emphasis on reiterating the gate scenario was to hopefully convince her audience that he was preparing for his escape route, he was even the proud owner of the only key....

I would love to be a fly on the wall with LE right now. How bizarre.

I could be wrong, but I took that part as one way for her to convince the public that Gannon intended to run away.
I dunno. She closed her statement by talking about suspicious vehicles.

I have no idea what she’s trying to convince us of anymore.

And something else I thought of, IF she cared at all about finding Gannon and thought someone had taken him, the last thing she would be doing is telling us what she told LE in confidence. She wouldn’t want the kidnapper to know what LE knows.
And to speak as though Gannon is out there waiting to come home and see his new shirt made me sick. All the while his parents are heart broken.

Btw, I sent you a pm.
