I don't like this one at all. I'm side eyeing this 10 ways from Sunday.

I'd never let my kid go play after staying home from school sick.

This^^^

He was home from school on Monday but after school, he asked and was allowed to go visit a friend? AND he never said which friend?

Atleast he’d still be alive in that scenario. If he ran away, then there’s a chance he’s ok.

I’m concerned that he didn’t run away...

I'm absolutely concerned that he didnt run away, I'm concerned that he never made it to his destination. IMO I dont think he left that house between 3:15 and 4pm.

No unfortunately not. I will delete the links for now unless it later opens up.

Thanks for letting me know.

Sounds so hinky....he is home sick all day, then says he is walking to a friends that afternoon, on a cold and rainy day, wearing a non waterproof hoodie ....
And he is only 11 and no one knows where he is headed that afternoon?

To be fair, we had scattered flurries during the day. The rain didn’t start until after sundown. But it was still rather chilly at 3:15 when I was picking my girls up from school, and forecasts had been warning of rain and snow all day. (My house is less than 2 miles from GS’s neighborhood.)

I know there’s no one we can sleuth but I’m curious who was in the home over the weekend. We know Stepmom and Gannon were home. Hmmm...anyone else?

Right, but it still sounds suspect. There were flurries all day and a storm was known to be coming.
And he was home 'sick' that day but was allowed to go walk to an unknown friend's house that afternoon. Sounds like no one really paid much attention to what he was doing.

oh for sure. I was just clarifying that the weather wasn’t awful. I still think so much is suspect here.

Sheriff's Office actively looking for 11-year-old Gannon Stauch, missing over 48 hours - KRDO

SABBM:

The Major Crimes Detectives have assumed responsibility for this case, says the Sheriff's Office. They're actively searching for evidence and taking all witness statements at this time.

A spokesperson with EPCSO sergeant Deborah Mynatt says the reason why the Major Crimes unit was placed as the lead investigators is because Gannon is so young and there is some risk of him becoming a victim.

"It's not normal for an 11-year-old to just run away and not return," Mynatt says. It's also because detectives with Major Crimes can focus more on this case and try to find Gannon before the weather worsens.

You mean, it's not normal for 11-year-old kids to walk out of the house and vanish off the face of the earth?

Huh. Whaddaya know.

Learn something new every day…thanks, LE!!

I sure hope LE is looking for neighbor/community camera captures not just on Monday starting at the time he was reported missing, but going back to the last confirmed non-family sighting (Saturday or Sunday morning, I think?)

I would think that LE already has those feeds. At least I hope so. They could have tracked which way he was headed.

I’m confused. Is he considered a runaway or not?

Hey, I like this game you just made up!

Playing along…

Given that the purported last independent sighting of GS was by a neighbor on Sunday, which means that he was definitely NOT in school Monday for whatever reason.

Because, apparently, nobody has come forward to say they saw him walking outside of his house Monday.

This means that LE has to work their timeline from Sunday vs. the Monday time that stepmom reported he left the house.

LE needs to track the electronic footprints of household members on that Sunday.
Those footprints are almost certainly going to lead LE to search locations outside of that house, and outside that neighborhood.

One pingy-dingy, two pingy-dingy, three-dingy…

Sunday is the critical day.

At what point would it be warranted for him to no longer be considered a runaway? IMO were long past that but there must he some kind of guideline?
