I don't like this one at all. I'm side eyeing this 10 ways from Sunday.
I'd never let my kid go play after staying home from school sick.
Atleast he’d still be alive in that scenario. If he ran away, then there’s a chance he’s ok.I sure hope he didnt run away and get himself lost and is holed up somewhere scared and alone.

I’m concerned that he didn’t run away...

Crud, I thought it was.No unfortunately not. I will delete the links for now unless it later opens up.
Thanks for letting me know.
Sounds so hinky....he is home sick all day, then says he is walking to a friends that afternoon, on a cold and rainy day, wearing a non waterproof hoodie ....
And he is only 11 and no one knows where he is headed that afternoon?
Me, too.Thank you @PawneeDew I hope Gannon is not out in that! Still hoping he is somewhere safe
Right, but it still sounds suspect. There were flurries all day and a storm was known to be coming. To be fair, we had scattered flurries during the day. The rain didn’t start until after sundown. But it was still rather chilly at 3:15 when I was picking my girls up from school, and forecasts had been warning of rain and snow all day. (My house is less than 2 miles from GS’s neighborhood.)

And he was home 'sick' that day but was allowed to go walk to an unknown friend's house that afternoon. Sounds like no one really paid much attention to what he was doing.

I sure hope LE is looking for neighbor/community camera captures not just on Monday starting at the time he was reported missing, but going back to the last confirmed non-family sighting (Saturday or Sunday morning, I think?)

I’m confused. Is he considered a runaway or not?Sheriff's Office actively looking for 11-year-old Gannon Stauch, missing over 48 hours - KRDO
SABBM:
The Major Crimes Detectives have assumed responsibility for this case, says the Sheriff's Office. They're actively searching for evidence and taking all witness statements at this time.
A spokesperson with EPCSO sergeant Deborah Mynatt says the reason why the Major Crimes unit was placed as the lead investigators is because Gannon is so young and there is some risk of him becoming a victim.
"It's not normal for an 11-year-old to just run away and not return," Mynatt says. It's also because detectives with Major Crimes can focus more on this case and try to find Gannon before the weather worsens.

Smart of them, IMOLE is stating they still believe he is a runaway.
