On what grounds? They did an excellent job, and this wasn't their error. Fault or blame lies either with the judge or the defense.

No case or trial is perfect, her appeal lawyers just found a loophole, that's literally their job.

Knowingly allowing an appeal issue to ruin their case. The defense asked for the juror to be removed had the alternate taken their place, no grounds for an appeal.
The case for guilt handed to them by the police was airtight the only problem would be with creating grounds for appeal. And they did so.

Now we know that Tolini and bro are going for insanity on BPD though, y'all know fine well that they're gonna try palm off alllll her fantasy island spew on that "she has BPD" as whilst lying isn't a specific criteria for the personality disorder, it's quite common - my best friend has diagnosed EUPD (Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder) which is BPD except it's known as BPD in the DSM-5 and in the ICD-10 over here in the UK it's EUPD) so I'm not in any way dissing on people with the disorder here, I love the bones off my mate - So yah it's gonna be an obvious play, ohhh she told all them ridiculous lies because she can't help it, it's her disorderrrrr, she also lied before all this she's been lying yearssss and I bet they use their full money box to get a pay for say psych to testify that it's true, as we all know that unfortunately happens in court.
The state prosecutors know fine well though that every single one of her f'd up fables were not as a result of a disorder, they were told to directly cause harm to Al, the father and the woman she hated the mother of the little innocent boy she did God only knows what to before she snuffed out his little life, stuffed him in a suitcase then drove across states and tossed him off a bridge. Then she proceeded to conjure up more and more lies to attempt to evade justice. Each one was a deliberate reason. As for the lying for years, yah she has, the whole doctor thing, the air hostess thing... HUGE difference though telling a lie to make yourself seem better than you are because you're a loser to deliberately and purposely covering a crime of murder and that's where the prosecution will smack it all down - she didn't just open her rotten mouth and lie (bEcAuSe bPd) she cleaned that damn house up. She wiped his blood and scrubbed the place, she made physical actions to conceal a crime. I'm blabbing now but yah, as I said before, getting an NGRI verdict on a personality disorder is like winning the lotto and that's IF you have a quiet or charismatic defendant who didn't whallop a law enforcement agent with a can of monster... I truly believe that NO jury will buy into the defenses Hail Mary (incredible film btw!) if it goes back to trial, which I believe it will as she's too full of her nasty self to cop a deal, and I'm putting my deliberation bet in early now at 3 hours.
I'm just gutted for the family and everyone who was involved in the trial

I forgot many details in this case. IMO this shows someone who was determined to conceal her crimes against this child. I remember thinking back then she really hated him.

I remember that awful video of him walking and getting into the truck with her. This is the day she called him off school. He was walking on his own but he was moving slow IIRC. We all poured over and took that video apart second by second.

Then the break-in story to throw investigators off, she lied about being sexually assaulted and of course GS being kidnapped by a made up person.

She was thinking clearly to plan and follow through with killing him in the home, dumping his body locally, retrieving his body days later, drives to FL to dump him again.

The absolute horror and pain that poor child went through at the hands of this sane deviant bankrupt soulless .

There was so much craziness that happened in this case.....and I always forget she was a school teacher. IMO

Will Eguardo make an appearance in the new trial? Seriously, what exactly will change this time? The facts are still the facts, the evidence stays strong. IMO I understand what overturned the verdict but nothing else changes. What a waste. Letecia continues to make it all about herself. JMO
