This looks like the Escambia Bay Bridge, not Escambia River Bridge. OP has linked a picture of the bridge.

I was thinking about the weight of the suitcase and having to pick up the suitcase and put it on the wall.

Gannon being a thin as he was, plus a couple of blankets and pillow, wouldn't really weigh that much. Even if the handle was broken before she threw him out like trash, it could have been still functional enough, to lift the suitcase up to the top of the wall.

So she beats, stabs and shoots this poor child, tells 800 different stories, then defrauds the Ford Motor Company to get a discount hotel room where she can throw him off a bridge into what she likley assumed was water, where he'd never be found. Not only is she pure evil, she's also dreadfully stupid.

And rigid square/rectangular things are easy to move without picking them up. Put it on edge, grab a corner, push it forward. Grab a corner, push it forward. Or, pull it towards you, rather than pushing. If what's inside isn't loose (which if it was packed with blankets and pillows, it would have been solid) and isn't breakable (Gannon, sadly, was not considered precious by her), it's a good way to move heavy boxes.

Up and over a barrier is another thing, but that's one big push, squat, use your whole body like a spring, or even get your shoulders under it. But I think she more likely got one corner on the barrier and pushed the corner opposite it, in front of her, away from her until it went up and over.

Minor correction: she checked in at the hotel in the very early morning hours of Feb. 4, and checked out later that same day.

There was a photo of soiled boxer shorts thrown in the snow around the area she had been driving, we never knew if they were related, although I would speculate that it was a huge coincidence.
I would like to know if he was found with underwear. I could see him soiling himself whilst they were out being the catalyst for her rage upon returning home.

IIRC, the soiled underwear were actually found on Hwy 115 many many miles south of where she was driving near Douglas County. 115 is a 2 lane Hwy that runs parallel to I-25, from Colorado Springs, past the other side of Fort Carson, down to Hwy 50. It’s a beautiful route to take Canon City.

Feeling so very sad for Gannon's entire family. Especially his parents.

I cannot imagine being a mother and sitting there while they show the suitcase, the smell, breaking a rib to extract DNA, decomp, holes in his shirt and jacket.

I wish I could hug Landen.

The horror and level of violence inflicted upon our sweet boy is unthinkable.

She tortured him. Yes she did. No one else. It was all her.

The Jury is going to lock her up and throw away the key.

I'd like to add, I am not an expert in moving bodies! I just realised how it sounded.

I have
a) moved house way too many times

and

b) used to work in retail as a teen/young adult where I regularly had to shift boxes and trolleys and pieces of furniture heavier than me without assistance. Probably why my right shoulder is screwed, now that I'm over forty.

TL;dr, not a murderer, I promise.
