I am trying to wrap my mind about that burnt carpet. Carpets are generally fire retardant. How could it have been burnt so bad?

I can't recall. The infamous video about the candle and the fire, did we hear someone other than the two of them? Was she possibly trying to start a fire near where he fell asleep so he would die? What is the general consensus here?

My mind is going to bad spots. It was hard enough to realize that she killed him with his father's gun. And, now it seems like torture was also happening the night before.
Yeah.
The bad places is a real thing right now.

She does not want to be in that room. She never did. She has tried not showing up. If she can get them to put her in a holding cell, you bet she's going to do it.

One of the witnesses today, not sure which one, said the burned carpet was consistent with an accellerant being used. Did she use it on Gannon's arms and light him on fire? I wouldn't be shocked if she did. Oh my god, she tortured that poor boy. Burn in hell witch.

I was getting ready for work and must have totally missed this - the ME only talked about finding one GSW on Gannon's body and that bullet was recovered from the muscle in his neck - was he actually shot more times? This is perplexing.
Oh yeah, I forgot they said that. Yes, how did this/these bullets get hair and bone on them??

Yikes, it could be. But, I am stuck on her starting a fire with him being unable to get out. She talked about going upstairs and getting the girls and dogs out of the house and went back down to him in one interview....... was she trying to burn him and the house down? I keep thinking it is just not believable that she was not a wicked person to him before this.....it doesn't make sense.

It wouldn't surprise me at all. What else has she done to him, I wonder.

You know… it got me thinking when I heard her police interview. Somewhere in the midst of her fire rescue story she talks about putting blankets over the smoke sensors (or something like that?) Whatever she said didn’t make much sense, as per usual, but she also mentioned a fire alarm. And it made me wonder if she let it slip that she was trying to prevent the smoke alarm from going off. Like did she tell Laina to grab the dog and get in the truck because she planned to set the carpet on fire while Gannon was sleeping and then ride off with Laina and the dog… but her genius “sensor blocking” plan failed when the alarm alerted Gannon to high tail it out of there?

Couldn't they just keep juror 12 and make her one of the alternates? I think the judge said at the time that the last ones picked would be alternates, in which case shouldn't she be one anyway of Mr Tolini says she was one of his choices for his last strike?
I don't think so but I'm not an attorney. I didn't think the judge said who the alternates are. I thought all 18 listen. Then when it's time to deliberate it's decided (often by drawing juror number) who will sit out as alternates and who will deliberate. (There could be fewer people left than anticipated at that point.) The alternates aren't dismissed. One could have to step in if a deliberating juror gets sick, for example.

The person remains qualified or not. If she's not, she'll be dismissed. She can't be an alternate if not qualified because she could be called into service. If she's qualified nothing happens.

The witness said it was possible the hair and bone was transferred while he was in the suitcase.

I hope the Judge makes her stay! Imo.

My mind went to the word 'accelerant' this afternoon during the CSI testimony.. No doubt gasoline and BBQ lighter fluid were both available right there. She is so much more evil than I thought.

Me, too. Not being there is the easy way out. She should have to face what she's done.
