Trial has resumed this morning for #LeteciaStauch. She’s the El Paso County woman accused of murdering her stepson, Gannon, in January 2020. I’ll be in the courtroom all day bringing you the latest and most up to date information.

Judge Gregory Werner addressed Letecia’s actions and flipping people off in the courtroom on Friday. He told Letecia, she has the right to be here for her trial, but he will not tolerate that behavior moving forward.

He has also had the tables in the courtroom rearranged, so Letecia is in direct sight of the judge. She's also no longer in a chair that rolls around, or allows her to rock back and forth.

Juror #12 is being released from Jury Duty and their service is concluded. Instructions they can talk about the case to others, but prohibited to tell who the other Jurors are. ​

Juror 12 is excused, only restriction is to not disclose the identities of the other jurors. She is being given information for support services due to the nature of the case. She is being given a certificate of service. Her notes will be destroyed. Judge is very very clear that she did the right thing and is grateful for her service.

Back in court for the beginning of the third week of Letecia Stauch's trial. First witness of the day should be CSPD crime scene investigator Brooke Bell, whose testimony was not finished on Friday. I'll tweet updates here as the day progresses for the @csgazette.

Juror 12, who said she knew one of the witnesses on Friday, has been dismissed by Judge Werner.

Jury is now 17 people with five alternates.

Jury has returned.

Judge has explained the juror has left, that she could no longer continue to serve on the case, they should not draw any conclusions from that. Judge suggests they could shuffle round their seating if they wish to be more evenly spread.

CSI Bell is still on the stand.

Also prior to Bell being recalled Judge Werner warned Stauch again for her behavior on Friday, where she was seen flipping off people in the courtroom.
