It is the sad story of certain personality disorders. It's textbook.

I love WS for the concern that goes beyond the crime and embraces the many, many people who are affected by people like T. Stauch.

I am pretty sure they are held hostage for the court personals benefit. They eat better when they have a jury to feed.

I've followed true crime since I was about 10 years old so, for 48 years.
I can honestly say in that time, I've never followed a case where the perp was both this evil, and this flaming stupid.
My heart goes out to all her *still living* victims:
HH, LH, AS and everyone connected to each of them.
She deserves to be locked in a cage until she dies.

There's nothing old school about expecting respect and manners from both sides of the courtroom. In any case. But in a case of child murder, such behaviour is all the more distasteful. I was disgusted, frankly.

I don't expect everyone to be dour all the time, we've seen moments of levity in this trial from all sides. I love Judge Werner's weather commentary - both about what it's like outside and inside the courtroom - but that's not what this was. I timed it, went back through the thread to when people first started commenting on it, and it was around an hour they were behaving that way, clearly whispering and giggling continuously. Not a moment, not a few minutes, but an hour. It showed disrespect not just for the prosecution and the witness, but for the entirety of the process of the court.

I expect better from any person with legal qualifications, regardless of what role they're fulfilling in a trial.

I'm doing much better now with catching up; I'm less than 8 hours behind!

I realize you may have possibly heard Dr. Lewis testify by now, but I haven't quite got to that yet if it happens.

I just wanted to ask a question. I have got to where Clark has just introduced and is explaining Van 1 and 2. As he mentions Van 2 and says the defendant rented this basically the same kind but from Budget, LS mumbles something to her defense (Cook maybe? the one wearing glasses?), and he raises his eyebrows, mumbles back and then she says something else.
What is that all about?
