LORIS, S.C. (WPDE) — A church family in Loris sang, prayed, cried and celebrated Wednesday night -- a feeling of tranquility after more than three years of turmoil.
It's been that long since
11-year-old Gannon Stauch was murdered and disposed of by his stepmother Letecia, a former Horry County resident and teacher. Gannon's life began in Horry County, born prematurely in a Pee Dee hospital. Since his disappearance, the community that welcomed him into the world memorialized the boy they all knew as 'G-Man'.

Gannon's mother, Landen, returned from
Colorado to take part in the service. She thanked church members, friends, and family saying that leaning into her faith in the Lord helped her through this trial.
"When you finally have that answer that you have desired for so long you can finally breathe and just know that it is well. I truly feel like it is well with my soul," Landen Bullard said.
During the service, family members approached the church altar and congregants laid their hands over them in prayer. It's symbolic of the reaction many across this nation had when they learned of Gannon's disappearance, and subsequent death. Bullard shared her thanks to those as well who could not be a part of the service.
"I just want to say thank you because it's not just one person it's a community, a nation, a world that Gannon's story has reached," Bullard said.
