Thanks for these screenshots!

I recall that LS also laughed at Dr. Lewis's response at the same time as everybody else, and where I immediately thought -- there goes wasting 4 weeks of slobbering on the defense table with her head down.
The one of Judge Werner was at 3:34.
I definitely remember LS laughing but didn’t get a screenshot!

However, she was NOT laughing D8C74C6C-00A3-4890-B8A4-A56409D1C9BF.jpegat 4:00, 4:17 and 4:36 with Lewis on the stand.

Thank you for those screenshots @Cindizzi! Even though I watched 90% + of the trial, I missed so many little moments.

Colorado has cash belly

South Carolina has stash belly

It's a major plot point in a CSI double episode from 2005, drugs being muled in a fake pregnant belly. It's obviously something that's been done for a while. I doubt CSI made it up out of whole cloth; they would likely have got the idea from an actual case or cases that were in the news.

It's like the burns scam (creating a facial disfigurement using makeup), or hiding stuff in a baby pram or in a wheelchair. You're relying on people being gentler, less rigorous, or avoidant in the execution of their job because of apparent disability, pregnancy, or parenthood to smuggle items or sneak past security or law enforcement. It's exploiting people's compassion, basically (or repulsion, sometimes, in the burns scam, in particular). It's a classic con.

It makes a lot of sense LS tried to drag it in with all her garbage. A huge amount of how she seems to operate is emotional manipulation and control. Her whole spin throughout this was 'I'm a victim, why are you even questioning me?' I'm sure it served her well, right up until she killed Gannon and people actually were listening to her lies and noting all the inconsistencies rather than just agreeing with her and backing off to try to dial down the drama. She seemed to think she could just say 'I'm a rape victim' and the cops would just say 'Oh God, I'm sorry, we'll leave you alone' rather than just having loads more questions.

MOO

Personally, I hope they feel the gratitude of Gannon's family and community but remain silent and anonymous. IMO, going public will only give LS what she wants and craves -- her name trending.
same as that.

KRDO reporter is incorrect in its "exclusive" report.

In addition to insuring GS at $25K, LS also obtained $25K life insurance for both HH and Laina. Per the docs, the question asks for the total amount of insurance EXCLUDING the application.

Pursuant to Colorado laws of probate, the insurance will be paid to GS's estate where without a will, AS and LH are equally entitled as the heirs.

KRDO could and should do better here!

Agreed! I knew he was incorrect.
Lets see if KOAA gets it right. Haven’t seen her full story yet:

LORIS, S.C. (WPDE) — A church family in Loris sang, prayed, cried and celebrated Wednesday night -- a feeling of tranquility after more than three years of turmoil.

It's been that long since 11-year-old Gannon Stauch was murdered and disposed of by his stepmother Letecia, a former Horry County resident and teacher. Gannon's life began in Horry County, born prematurely in a Pee Dee hospital. Since his disappearance, the community that welcomed him into the world memorialized the boy they all knew as 'G-Man'.

[…]

Gannon's mother, Landen, returned from Colorado to take part in the service. She thanked church members, friends, and family saying that leaning into her faith in the Lord helped her through this trial.

"When you finally have that answer that you have desired for so long you can finally breathe and just know that it is well. I truly feel like it is well with my soul," Landen Bullard said.

During the service, family members approached the church altar and congregants laid their hands over them in prayer. It's symbolic of the reaction many across this nation had when they learned of Gannon's disappearance, and subsequent death. Bullard shared her thanks to those as well who could not be a part of the service.

"I just want to say thank you because it's not just one person it's a community, a nation, a world that Gannon's story has reached," Bullard said.
