I wonder what the difference is when a trial is live streamed? Is it the state or the court/judge themselves? Travis Alexander lying dead in his shower was shown for all & Trayvon Martin, are some off the top of my head. But the judge blacked out Reeva Steencamps photos in S. Africa.

I watched parts of the JA trial. When I saw the images of Travis in the shower my legs went to jelly. I wish I'd looked away. I suppose I didn't expect them to show it on the video.

I understand that most people are absolutely fine to see images like this. I'm more than likely in the minority. And I don't have a problem with images being shown - as long as I have the chance to look away!

If we don't want to watch we turn off the screen. I would watch to remind me why I don't want to go to the theater for $15 a movie ticket for 1hr 30min average time movie.

Now this BBM I know about..This young man will be affected for the rest of his life..Likely with an Ileal conduit which was my first specialty following graduations....

The Han's got married on the first anniversary of the shooting. They wanted to create a different memory. I think that's really nice.

I can respect your opinion. When I first heard JH being interviewed I, like others, had a sense of empathy. But over time I came to realize he had a choice to do the right thing even right up to the minute before the massacre. He chose the
selfish path.

Yeah... same here. All that empathy I felt watching the first day of his interview w/ Dr. Reid (like I felt he was still a person... just like the rest of us) went right out the door... on like Day TWO of that same interview. LOL

This is so VERY hard to listen to :-(((..REminds us of the horror of the moment for these victims....Just to mention..I'm a widow of Vietnam vet who for the rest of his life..constantly had terror dreams recalling war experiences...This young man will be no different than war hero's who experience such (PTSD) symptoms!! God Bless him and ALL of the victims!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It shows their strength of character that they can come to court and give evidence knowing that JH is sitting so close to them. I wish I could hug them all.

I think the testimony is more powerful when these victims get emotional.

I hope the prosecution ends with a theater victim... and that person gets emotional.

That sounds horrible- of course, I don't want these people to suffer any more than they already have, but in terms of their words impacting the jury... I think tears and choking up makes their testimony more impactful., and brings home the gravity of what JH did to them.

I'm sure it's obvious to y'all when I get home from work every day because you don't hear a peep out of me until around the same time every day and, because I have to play catchup, I'm always commenting about something discussed way earlier. Sorry about that.

BUT I work as a clerk for my county's school district and we just started our summer schedule this week---Friday's off! So maybe I'll be around tomorrow and you'll hear more from me & at the relevant times. Sorry about that too... LOL

ETA: never mind... I saw there's no court tomorrow. Good gahhhh!

How do the victims remember where their seats were? When I go to the movies I never pay attention to the seat. I could never remember years later the exact seat.

I think most of us agree that JH is mentally ill. The question is was he legally insane at the time he carried out the shooting. I don't believe he was.
