I want to add something else. IMO, the jury might dismiss this whole Nov. indecent in their deliberations. In the Travis Alexander trials, the defense went to great lengths to show that Travis had on his computer. Days & days putting that in to turn the jury's attention away from what arias did.
When the jurors were interviewed, even juror 17, they said that his viewing was never even a factor in deliberations nor was it even discussed.

I hope you are correct MissHaley. I believe this stuff about November is to confuse the jury into thinking JH was psychotic in July. There has been no evidence of this at all. In fact the opposite!

I first want to thank everyone for keeping up with this case. I havent been able to keep up with it lately.

I agree with this post.

The bottom line for me about JH was yeah I will concede the guy has some mental issues but by legal definition of what constitutes true insanity the evidence just does not support it for me.

He is twisted in a lot of ways but then again so are a lot of people and we dont see these other people going around shooting up a theatre.

It all comes down the legal criteria for being truly insane at the time of the murder. And based on all I read the simple version way I think about it is you would have to really not know the impact of what you are doing.

IMO he knew!
He knew he would hurt and kill people.
He knew he would likely go to prison and even told others that he was going to be heading off forever in hints.
He prepared extensively for what he was about to do.

HE KNEW

So whatever sickness he had at the time and continues to have it was not legally enough to use this defense.
So IMO we need to lock his azz up on death row and then let the bleeding hearts send him letters for years and years until he dies of old age in prison like what normally happens with rest of death row inmates.

Now if he was in Texas it would be different story. The punishment would take place. And yes it is a form of punishment. There are some crimes where punishment is needed. This is one of those.
This is not the case to be considering rehabilitation to get back on the street. Punishment is what is needed here. The severest form the law allows.

Deputy Lofland worked in the medical unit of the Arapahoe County Jail.
Deputy Lofland confirmed another inmate brought him a note on July 24, 2012.
A cleaner in the infirmary found the note. It had "Holmes" written on it. anica.padilla

Besides no in depth coverage, no news programs are even stating that the trial is going on! During Boston bomber trial, a snippet of what was going on in the trial was on everyday! This is no news about the trial at all on TV. Unless you know to look online, then you will get updates. You'd think they'd even mention some events, survivors testify, prosecution rests, defense begins, etc. It's just so strange.

I find it odd---at the start you couldn't get away from it--now......??? Really weird!
