Just reading back...

Like all of you, I was sure 737 would be dismissed. Even explained to my friend's girls how the jury of peers works, and how it's likely that something like this could happen since they all live there and there are so many involved.

But he wasn't. I think accepting THIS particular Judge's discretion is good with me.

they've already been randomly picked.......a draw.....

Very Interesting.

Im not sure that is a good idea to pick the jurors so early like that. For the reason of what just happened with that 1 juror.

Because could that have influenced the judge to want to keep the juror on the case a little while ago?

For instance. If the judge already knows that 1 juror was picked then maybe the judge didnt want him removed because it means they would have to repick a new one from the alternates before deliberations.

And even if the judge already knows the 1 juror is not one of the ones picked then maybe the judge wanted to keep him because he knew it would not matter so he may have leaned towards keeping him knowing it would not matter.

Just seems strange to me to pick them early like that. It seems it would be better to just pick them right before they go to deliberate.

It shouldnt matter too much either way unless it somehow affected the judge's decisions in removing jurors for cause.

I suppose I need to trust the judge and the jury process more. :) LOL

More sarcasticness from the interview. Look how he replies here below.
I am convinced from this interview that he was being cocky throughout the whole interview.

GG "In that silver bowl?"

JH: "Uh, its not silver. Its stainless steel"

That particular statement stood out to me because it speaks volumes. It clearly shows how much importance he placed on every single detail and how much he wanted the correct information notated. It's not because he wanted to help them; he wanted the credit and recognition for it. He wanted to showcase his intelligence.

It reads almost like a scoff. It's almost like he's saying "as IF I would mix those ingredients together in a silver bowl and risk ruining the final product... it was stainless steel."

Other statements that convey his hauteur, if you will... as well as his desire to undermine the officer:

"Magnesium just doesn't ignite with pressure... WELL, AND YOU SHOULD KNOW THIS."

When he was asked if the transmitter was outside or missing... He said "UH, YOU TELL ME."

When he was asked what else was in the there that could hurt someone and he replied "Uh, well, I'm not in there anymore." <<< I perceived to be a smart-a answer. I don't know what's in there because I'm not there anymore.

And the line... "no that was just to scare you guys" clearly proves he felt this was just a game.

Defense is objecting to a video exhibit that is anticipated to be put into evidence later this afternoon. Defense says there is a 10 second portion that shows blood on the backboard. (Used to aid in medical evacuation). Prosecution argued that it is to be expected that there is blood in the video considering it was a shooting of many people. Judge asks to view the video privately to make a decision.

I hope I never get called for jury service. I live in the UK and we don't have this extensive selection process. If you are chosen you usually have to do it. I couldn't cope emotionally with graphic images and testimony and I doubt I could get myself excused.

Judge says there is nothing prejudicial about that 5 second scene that shows the backboard that has blood on it and doesn't find anything substantial or prejudicial. Video is admissible.

Judge is requestioning juror 737 about the witness testimony- asking if his testimony has changed anything. Juror says he has no concerns and that the witness testimony was brief. Judge is extending the no contact between witness and him to also include his wife.
