Agree. I bet that contributed to his lackluster and out of touch with other people.

If things came super easy for him and not for others, then that alone always put him in a "special group of 1". I could see where over years and years through all his schooling that he would begin to get sick of it and end up with the personality that he had.

Since he knew inside he was "special", it was much easier for him to just keep quiet about it and not share with others about his gift of being somewhat of a prodigy.

I would love to interview his grade school classmates to see if he ever tried to open up with others about it and maybe had a tough time with other kids making fun of him being so smart or something like that.

I bet over time his weird personality was his way of coping with his gift of being able to recall everything he heard and read.

It sure would explain a lot of what we see now as is personality.

And to followup to your thought Hatfield...This makes him SANE...unfortunately for defence...He ended up using his talents in a VERY NEGATIVE manner..blamed fellow human beings for how "The World made he feel"..So hey..Get rid of those peons..They're all useless...

It's a shame he never got interventions back when he was young..It's not like his family couldn't afford it :shame:

Q: What happened after you got into the lobby?
A: It was chaotic and I wanted to be far away as possible so I went out the front doors towards the left and kept going straight thru the parking lot and trying to get some people to stop. I didn't know how bad I was injured at the time. I was asking people to help. A group of 3-4 people scooped him up and brought me to the farthest grassy island of theater parking lot.
Q: Are these other movie goers?
A: Yes. The one I recall was Stephanie Rodriguez. Immediately, she put her hands on my wound, took of her belt, and tied a tourniquet around my leg.
Q: How long before help arrived?
A: 5-10 mins maybe.
Q: Were you eventually transported to a medical facility?
A: While sitting on the grass, a young man saw a squad car pull in and he flagged them down and brought them over to me. One of the officers picked me up and put me in the car. (He was actually in the car on top of an officer because he couldn't move his leg... had to ride with leg hanging out window.)
Q: What ER did you go to?
A: Medical Center of Aurora
Q: What happened once you got to the hospital?
A: They put me on a gurney. It took a while to be treated because my injuries weren't life ending.
Q: Did you have any surgeries?
A: Yes, I had two surgeries. First surgery occurred that morning about 6 am. (Was in hospital for one week, had another surgery the day before he left hospital)
Q: Any permanent damage sustained from your injury?
A: Lost 30-50% of muscle in leg and has significant nerve damage.

Entered exhibit of pictures of injuries.

I read a report just today about one. Now this is not really an indication of much...

But it said he was always picked first to be on a team because he ran fast.

Now most kids who are thought of as weird - fast runner or not - are not first picks for anything! So I would say he wasn't necessarily the "weird one" in his early years. If that makes sense. I can try to find that article if you want.

Thats ok. we are just speculating so no need to dig up anything. He obviously had more issues too than just his smartness.

The mention about his "eyes" was interesting. I have noticed on so many crime shows that murderers that are creepy like him sometime have a common trait with the eyes bugging out. I wonder if there is a connection with eyes somehow.

Not all cases of course but I have noticed a lot of murderers with mental issues seem to have large protruding eyes. Its interesting to me about some sort of connection about it.

Q: Could you describe where bullet went thru?
A: Went upper thigh in a downward angle motion thru quads and femur and out at inside of thigh by knee.
Q: Do you recall hearing gunfire as you were leaving?
A: I don't think so but I had tunnel vision and was just trying to get out of there.

No cross... witness released from subpoena.
Court adjourned for the day.

Whew! I think I have carpal tunnel now! LOL :notgood:

LMAO!!

Too funny about this random photo #2504 being of the photographer's leg.

And then Orman and 2 other attorneys just taking it and turning it all around to see if they can figure out what it actually is! That was so funny!!

Q: What did you do while waiting for movie to begin?
A: Typical stuff. Small talk. My brother was at movie in Chicago and were texting.
Q: Did something happen during movie?
A: Yeah, started typical. About 5-10 mins in after previews saw something launched in our direction in our vicinity.
Q: Did you see mid-air?
A: Yeah... I saw a big object kind of float in front of the screen. It came from front right to the middle of the stadium seating.
Q: What happened after that?
A: Heard some hissing. Very close after that there was fire open.
Q: What do you mean?
A: Gun shots started firing from front right of theater. Pierce got down right away. I've never been around guns so I was like what guy is lighting off firecrackers. I could see flashes of gunfire and silhouette behind a gun.
Q: What area did you see the silhouette?
A: Front right towards the exit.
Q: What did you do next?
A: When Pierce got down it registered for me to get down. From there, we ducked for cover. I could hear a very very consistent rapid gunfire at the time. I had lower half of my legs in the aisle. Shortly after, crying and a very frantic, chaotic scene at that point. I could hear Pierce praying. He was hanging on to my legs and I was hanging on to his legs. The consistency of gunfire slowed down for a second and at that point I was pushing Pierce and whoever was next to him in so I could cover my legs. Then you could slower rapid gunfire again. While trying to get cover, I got shot in my leg.

This confirms to me how he shot so many people. What he was doing was firing about as fast as he could. Consistently and quickly. I bet that little pause she describes was just the brief moment that he ran out of shells in 1 gun and either changed weapon to another loaded one OR just put in a brand new clip of rounds that he had ready to go when 1 clip would run out.

I dont think he stopped to load shells into a clip. I bet he had mutliple clips full already and when 1 would run out, he just put in a new clip of ammo.

I kept wondering how he did so much damage before people could run out of theatre and this is why. He shot at them very quickly. Basically non-stop firing.

Well at one point his rapid fire weapon jammed and he tried to un-jam it. In the confession he said it was too dark for him to see to fix it so he switched guns. That may have when he changed to the shotgun.

Thanks. I was wondering if it was official or not that he used the different weapons he brought.

I've only been able to catch certain days and certain times of this trial.

On Youtube there are videos of entire trial. Many of the victims had shotgun pellet fragments in their bodies who have testified and it was discussed in opening statement. There also have been victims who told about the different gun sounds and the breaks between gunfire ect.
