Maybe he was just really bored.. Not being challenged enough?
I think his achilles heel was his intense aversion to interacting socially. Quite capable of communicating with highly educated professor's..those who he had to in order to gain what he wanted. He no doubt felt above anyone else he felt were below him...A personality of "Snobbery" LOL..He had no problem talking to or interacting with store sales staff..course that because he needed them in order to reach a goal...and no one..gun store/ chemical supply store etc felt he was un-engaged. Selective snobbery I say!!
