Jury out so the court can deal with a small matter...

Juror #267 knows the next witness from Columbian Middle School. He was assigned to the school a while ago. Approximately before 2012. They have officers coming and going. She has seen him approximately 'once in a while'. She has spoken with him in passing. She wouldn't say on a daily basis. She doesn't think that her contact with him with affect her ability to be a juror.

Man, another juror - #267 - knows Officer Ben Holston.

Maybe they should talk to the jury as a whole, and say

"OK. Listen. It is possible you may know one of these witneses. I need to ask you some questions. Can you remain impartial and give the same weight to that person as you do every other person. Will you feel uncomfortable if the findings at the end of the trial and you feel you would have to explain your ruling?"

Yay ATL, I'm voting for Rumer and Val too.

:grouphug: But this is my first season watching, and my DS said that it is the "favorite" that wins. That would be Noah. :escape: from mod as to O/T

I'm here and loading, but on the McStay thread mostly today. http://www.websleuths.com/forums/showthread.php?276762-ARREST!-Charles-Ray-Merritt-a-k-a-Chase-07-Nov-2014-13/page4

I haven't had time to upload the updated timeline I'm keeping, so please help me out with any new stuff I should add. I did a few cut/paste yesterday of it when folks had questions, but will not have time today due to rl and the McStay thread/prelim which I have been waiting for... for a looooooooooooooong time.

:blowkiss:

I've had to order a new battery for my laptop. I don't think this one will survive for the next 4 months!

lol I think the same thing. How much are they? Almost as much as a new lappy? Logging in now... paper shuffling... I need to catch up! Although today I am going to be frustrated going back and forth here and McStay at noon Eastern time.

Ben Holston testified to admit a bullet fragment.

And he is done. On to the next!!

ETA - passing fragments around to jury...will be a short time before next witness.

No...batteries are not nearly that expensive. Of course it depends on your laptop and if you want name brand or not.

Next witness - Edmunds, so about purchases

Mark Magruder - Motorcycle Instructor (Yay! More details from yesterday!!)

ETA - YES, he took the class June 23/34

 We have the instructor today

Work was looking to cut hours today and asked if I wanted the day off.

OF COURSE I DO lol

  • #655
According to instructor, JH did not do anything to stand out, was normal. He said "nondescript".

Passed all aspects of tests.

My laptop is Dell and they wanted £116 for a new battery! The laptop only cost me £299! I bought a generic one for £26. I'm hoping it will work. Apparently some don't.

I still stand by my theory that JH has hidden a MC away somewhere and was planning on dumping his car and making his getaway on the bike.
