I do kinda get it. I am not sure "shocking" the jury with footage of bloody people is any more imporant than hearing from the victims themselves.

Will they see autopsy photos?

I gave up listening to the judge explaining his reasons. It sounded like he was going to refuse to allow the video. It's 12:20 am here so I'm going to call it a night. See you all tomorrow

OH...now we get the Veronica evidence that was denied.

Flip flops and earrings.

Says it could be prejudicial to jury. Seeing such tiny objects from someone killed.

I don't agree with that, but I believe in this Judge.

Oh before I go. I found out what the defence didn't want admitted when they were discussing Veronica Moser's autopsy:

Stopped working a CU - quit

Reason - pursuing other interest, plus lack of passion for research topics

Man...I tried. I couldn't get it all...but basically said he was too shy and couldn't change for the program.

NO risk to health, safety or morals

Sought counseling from student health center


ETA - I don't know why but I am really surprised he filed for unemployment the day after he quit school!

Im pretty sure there was an email between him and his father where his father encouraged him to do that. Probably sick of footing the bill.

In his explanation I think he said he wouldn't show the hospital footage because it's not the best quality footage to show the wounds etc. So yeah I think they will be seeing autopsy photos, possibly even in theater photos of the bodies.

Attorney from CU bringing previously undisclosed emails. Brauchler wants them. Defense doesn't. Judge will conduct an in-camera review and decide.

Says JH was an introvert. Made efforts to get to know him. Including outside of the lab. He is not an anomaly in the science world.

Went to movies and to hockey game. Century 16.

Quiet. Not necessarily awkward. Had a sense of humor - remembers JH would make him laugh.

Asking about the jokes in the presentation - chicken and mullet jokes. He thought they were funny. Awkward humor, but he liked it.

Made a joke about "you can take this to the bank" because he was discussing a protein, ATM. (LOL! I might laugh at that.)
