Yeah...this was not meant as criticism. We have just seen him normally jovial - as weird as that sounds. He is just an upbeat guy, I think.

That was smart of her to wait for a pause in shooting before she ran and it probably saved her life. JH may have been reloading or changing weapons or something and she chose a good time to make a run for it.

I suppose there is never a right or wrong way to try to get away. Sometimes just playing dead works too in a situation where there are multiple casualties.

Its hard to say how one will react because so much of it is random chaos.
Just glad she made it out alive.

One thing that has always stood out to me that shows the bizarre chaos of this tragedy was the video of the wounded black person who came out the front door. He seemed so calm as he exited the theatre. It was so strange to see his calmness. I suppose he could have been in shock too. He was bleeding badly and yet he walked out the front door. Others were walking as well.

I would have thought more would have been running as fast as they could when they hit the outside. I am sure many were still in shock.

I agree. I can imagine it would be a huge shock to see these things happening.

The survival instinct must have been what caused so victims to leave people behind. Even though you would hope you would want to try and save your loved ones, self preservation must kick in and you only think to save yourself. I don't think there is anything wrong with this. If they are hurt really bad and if the shooter was still shooting then its not like they had a lot of time to try to assist someone to the exits. I am pretty sure some people probably got killed because they were going too slowly and if you try to stop and help someone it obviously would give the shooter more time to pick you out and shoot you too along with the wounded person.

Even in combat war footage I have seen, sometimes the soldiers have to leave a wounded comrad with the hopes that they will come back after they get more help to go back and get them.

Same sort of thing here. I am sure for anyone that left others in that theatre, they knew they were going to go to try to get LE help. Then people can come back to help the wounded.

The only person I really questioned was the 1 guy that we heard about who ended up leaving his wife-to-be and his baby I think. That sounded a little strange. But its really hard to say what one will do in this type of disaster.

So much death and destruction. Most everyone I am sure did the best they could.

If I was injured and my children were with me I would have insisted they get out. I wouldn't want to risk them being hurt or killed. I would hope they would listen to me and run.

Did anyone see the video of the person who recently pulled some people from a burning car and he had on a super hero T-shirt. That guy was amazing. The video was really short and what was striking to me was there was some other rescue personnel and it did not look like the rescue person(s) were doing much help at all. It almost looked like the rescue people were afraid of the fire and this general public person was the true hero in pulling the people from the burning vehicle.

Amazing stuff and certain people have it in them and I suppose some dont.
